Calls repeatedly but no one answers. Just read comments...if the government knows the sources of scams and robocalls, guess that's more wasted tax dollars since we all still get them from the known offenders. I depend on the 800notes site....Thanks for taking care of us all.

just recd call AGAIN from MidlandCreditMgmnt at 8:24am,12-17-15.  BLOCKED THEM AGAIN!  I blocked once before but somehow the number gets through.  Now blocked again.

Thanks for the info Patrick.. They keep calling NO matter what.. The ask for my mother who sadly passed away on 9/11/2015 and I'm still grieving over her.. I told them she had passed away and can't even talk to them because I start crying because I was my mother's caretaker in her last 3 yr.'s of life.. I asked what the bill was from but they could give me no information and I told them if they couldn't give me any information what the bill was regarding then I could do nothing. They got very mean and harassing and I hung up. They continue to call using the 866-580-4780 number, they also use what shows up on the phone as unknown name/unknown caller, and use a different number showing Midland Credit and another phone # that show's the name Rhama ONLY.. I don't know what to do, I mean I am all ready half crazy with losing my mother back in Sept., but they continue to call me on a daily basis, at least 3-5 times per day so I finally stopped answering any call if I don't recognize the phone number.. I saw on the post Patrick had made that it was something regarding a "payday loan" but my mother never got such a thing.. They are calling Mon-Sun-, yes 7 days per week, and the phone starts ringing from 8 a.m. up until around 7 in the evening.. What should I do if anyone has any helpful information please.. THANKS in advance if someone can help!!!!

The next time they call, demand a legitimate, physical mailing address in which to send a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. This is your right under federal law. If they refuse, let them know your attorney will get this information for you and see them in court.

The answer is to outright ban the 'selling' of debt to collectors.

They communication you are receiving is from a company that routinely violates Federal law.  If you mother had a will, then they are required to talk to the executor.  If there is no will and no money, then they are out of luck but will keep trying anyway.  So you need to send them a certified, return receipt letter.  The information you need to do that is on page 24.  Everything about these cretins has been detailed.  pay particular attention to the links at the end where you can learn more and to report them.  I would also suggest getting a consumer lawyer and talk to him/her about an FDCPA lawsuit as well as a TCPA lawsuit.

Why can't these useless no good low life's be stopped from making these unwanted scamming calls.  Most come from heavy Indian accents.  You would think that in today's high technology there would be a way to put a stop to theses morons.  I NEVER ANSWER THESE CALLS so they will not scam me.

I am a minor (17) and have no accounts whatsoever anywhere in my name, have not given
out my name or information to anyone, and my phone number which I have had since
2009 is not published nor associated with any account anywhere online or offline and
is only known to immediate family members only, not even friends.
