I got a call from a lady who's first language was not english and could not really properly explain but was saysing there was a third party collection on a property I have not lived in for a few years, said they kept sending me a letter( to the address I have not lived in for a few years. I thought it may have to do with the people we let assume our mortgage and I called my bank asking them about this and there is nothing to do with the old property and nothing that was related from the bank. The lady said when I asked for further clarification, that she would fax me the letter that explains it all. First thing the next day, and I never got a copy of it. So I have just called her again and she said she sent it(Sure!).  Now I am worried. I am not sure what a collection agency would be after me for.

I recieved a call from ICOR Canada on my cell phone, which I just reactived from vacation disconnect after working overseas.  They've called about 3 times already, a recording asks for me to call them back.  But when I do I'm put in a call queue for about 45 minutes already, and still no answer from them.  I've got no outstanding debts so I could only ponder on what they are calling about

I too am receiving a call from ICOR Canada, but I don't answer numbers I don't know and when I listen to the vm...it's them.  But I don't call them back because I have no outstanding debts.  But we have another collection agency calling for a Tara Banks who used to have our home number...do you think ICOR is looking for her and got my cell number somehow?  I do not give out my cell number to too many people.  How can I block them from my cell???

Tell them not to call you at work anymore and that any and all further contacts are to be made in writing from now on.

These guys are a collection agency. They called me and left the same message. I called them back and asked them what they were . They said that they were a collection agency looking for Ingred (someone I don't know).
They said that they would remove my number from the list

Am on hold with them right now.  Still waiting....1-800-281-9643.  They call 3 times a day.  Have spoken to them previously, the person there looking for is not here, they said they would take # off list.  That was last week.
Still on hold...........  Wow, reallllllly important! Not!

Message left says: This is ICOR, Canada calling. It is urgent that you return our call.
We get that call every day for the past week and today we rec'd 2 calls.

Chances are that someone gave your phone number at random, while applying for a loan which he or she doesn't intend to repay.  The collection agency follows up with whatever information it has, including the false phone number.  When that collection agency has no luck finding the deadbeat, the cheated creditor hires another collection agency, which proceeds in the same way, including calling your number.  Ever since we got our current phone number 3 years ago, we have been getting calls from collection agencies looking for someone called who called herself Rachel Ashman on her credit application (the name could be as false as the number).  The agencies are usually polite when we tell them that we don't know who that person is, and they stop calling.  Then a few months later another agency takes over.  We just had a call from ICOR for Rachel Ashman, but this is the first time in about a year.  I hope this helps.

I called this number and was on hold for over fifteen minutes...then the line went dead.  That was after I entered the so called extension of the person whom left a message.  If these guys are truly some sort of collection agency...they need to learn phone etiquette!  It is nasty to leave a voice mail for someone..and then when that person calls back to have them wait in some sort of queue..how rude!

LOL wow they sure do call alot of ppl i guess we should all just learn how to pay our bill eh? LOL

ICOR is NOT a collection agency!!! It is a scam!!! When you phone them back they register your phone number, then sell it to other companies!
DO NOT phone them back.

Keep getting messages that it is important, yet there is never anyone at the number. Who are they and how do I get them to stop calling?

These people are calling your house phone and hoping that you will call that number back. And then they tell you that they have the wrong number and then they take your number and sell it to telemarketers. So be careful!

Icor Canada has been calling daily, multiple times for months now. There is no reason. We are just told it's Really Important and we have to call back. We haven't but they are making me unplug my phone all the time to avoid them. How to stop this???

ICOR is spelled IQOR.  Here is their contact page.  Send them lost of emails and call them.  I did.

i told them that i put the money in their account, then told them right where they could go. dumb f..k asked wich account i put it in after i was done telling them off.

Got a call from Icor canada  saying they had important business matters, and to call them back phoned back and there was a women who spoke very broken english asking where my number was I told her  when I asked what it was she said I need to speak to so and so, I asked her again what is Icor she would not answer me so  I hung up! and will not return anymore of those calls and will now report them to my phone company as harrassing calls and have them traced!
