They say that they are from Icor Canada, an collection agency when I called they wanted my phone number, i felt they called me and should have my phone number. They said they would put me on there no-call list. But they have been calling me ever since 5 or 6 times a day. I tried the reverse number look up but it doesn't exist.

This fake company also has a fake website www.IQOR.com

They are after any information that you are willing to give them (like your Social Insurance Number

GIVE THEM NOTHING INCLUDING a fight.

This scam goes back as far as 2007.

I've seen fake employee letters praising IQOR as the greatest company ever to work for.

Rude poor English speaking woman from IQor Canada just gave me this number, which she said is Toronto (she gave me this number first and I said I wasn't calling long distance, she then tried to tell me it wasn't. Toronto is definitely long distance). She said this belongs to a supervisor at a "company dealing with confidential matters". Despite it being the law to identify what her company does she refused to tell me. She wanted to talk to someone else in the household who wasn't here but has tried numerous times to call these people back and either got a computer or dead air. I went a few rounds with this woman trying to find out what her company does but she refused to tell me. I asked her if I called the Police to report a scam would they tell me, she told me to go ahead. She claimed she was in a "data centre" and couldn't put a Supervisor on the phone. I know for a fact that "calling centres" have Supervisors, I have two friends who do that for a living! She rattled off a bunch of numbers, so I made her wait while I got pen and paper and then made her repeat them all again :) At one point she said I was wasting my time and hers, I told her I wasn't the one getting paid. It was a fun conversation. :)

It's clearly a debt collector but from what I read on the other posts they are calling some people who don't owe money. So watch out.
