Student loan scam

shirley bates is BUSY, she called me also...so tired of all the scammers

My gave me the exact same message. The caller ID showed 302-514-1456.

Hey! That's the same reference number old Bates gave me.

Three calls from this number over three weeks. Shirley Bates, reference #11003. Like everyone else here. Always suspicious when they call without leaving any company info—and she's calling about student loan paybacks. I have NO outstanding student loans, so ... no.

I received the same message with the same call back number and the exact same reference number and I do not have any student loans.

Looks like Susan Keller got fired and Shirley Bates took her place.  Absolute Scam!!!  Do not call back.  Report this number to the FCC at:

Yep, I got the exact same v-mail with the exact same ref #. Sounded legit because her voice sounds calm, professional, and confident... but I knew better since she does not give names, dates, or anything personal. Do NOT call back, phishing call for sure... so annoying!!!

called left a voice mail to call 866-607-3223 and to have reference number 110003 with me. when called i asked what was the name of the company, and the guy said that it was federal student aid. I told him i got a voicemail from saying to call this number with a reference number and wanted to verify as this was not who i have student loans with. the guy asked what questions I had as I was only making statements. I again repeated I wanted to see who they were and what information they claimed they needed because this was not my company for student loans and the guy hung up on me.

Hahahaha. They gave me the same reference number and I don’t have any federal student loans. Definitely a scam.

Same experience as most of the other posters here.   I received a voicemail from this number 845 681 0213.
Someone named Shirley Bates left me a message with the same reference number 110003 as everyone else is reporting.  Definitely a scam.

Shirley Bates, with the VERY SAME reference number that everyone else gets! Apparently, we ALL consigned off on the same federal student loan!!! What an obvious scam!

Received this message; “Yes this is Shirley Bates I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with some new changes that have taken effect recently so if you could be sure to give me a call back my number is 866-607-3223 and I'm gonna give you a reference number if you would have this handy when you call back that'll make things a lot easier. Your reference number is 110003. Thank you.”
This is definitely a scam! I went to college on full scholarships, I NEVER had any student loans at all.
