- Pearl58| 1 replyAn obnoxious collection agency. These people buy discharged credit accounts or loans and try to collect the funds for themselves. Do not let them intimidate you. Get an attorney to fight them if necessary.
- JaneCalled asking for my sister. Said that they left a message for her. Left a name, Frank Lucci Ext#101. There's also an Ext#108. They wouldn't say what they wanted. They were extremely rude and wouldn't accept that they coudn't reach her at this number! I looked them up on the internet and the name of the company they gave me didn't show up.

- witheld by requestCaller identified himself as Praxis Financial, other websites have indicated that this is a collection agency that buys bad debt and attempts to collect. I'm forwarding this whole business to my lawyer, as I owe no such debt, and the calls are unprofessional, irritating, and inappropriate.
- zzCollections agency - You can send them a Do Not Call Letter

- Moonchild8Mark Edwards He is very blunt, rude and calling everybody in my family that they can get in touch with. It is a person trying to get you to say you owe this company money. Hang up when you find out what the call is about, if you don,t let them know you know your rights they will bother you and your family to no end. The man on the other end of the line said his name was Mark Edwards , accused me of borrowing money and never paying it back. Never did any such thing. Beware: If they get your credit files they will use anything in it to try and collect money from you that has already been settled and closed. It is unlawful for them to call your family and friends when they already know your address and phone number. Tell them you will report them to FTC and to your attorney. Stop them now! They are not going by the laws. Send the a letter and tell them to stop harressing you and your family. If they have any common sense they will stop. If it continues to happen you can sue them according to the laws that they are breaking. Tell them no, you will not pay any money to them, that you do not owe it, because it has already been paid. I will file a lawsuite aganist them for calling my family , when they already have my address and phone number aand they left a message on my mothers voice mail and it upset her terribly and she is elderly and sick as it is. It is unlawful for them to do this, look it up from your home computer. Thanks and be safe. Don,t tell them all your personal information. Turn them in to the Attorney General in their State and in your state. Thanks, Moonchild8

- Martin Albert| 18 repliesThey are a licensed collection agency and collect within the guidelines of federal laws. It's amazing that you walk into a store take thousands of dollars in merchandise never pay for it and then call it harassment when the creditor calls you to find out your intentions. If you spent half the effort paying your bills that you spent on this blog you might not be getting these calls. Why don't you start your statements off with the truth before you slander a company... " I walked into the store stole thousands in merchandise and now these guys are calling me?" Ask youself this who is the real scammer and crook you or them?

- The Truth replies to Martin Albert| 6 repliesWhat a load of crap! If they're so great and ethical, why are they trying to collect old debts on which the statute of limitations has run out?
- Martin Albert replies to The Truth| 5 repliesWell since you are not a lawyer and obviously do not know the law let me clarify what is and isn't legal. When the state of limitations has expired it means you cannot be sued in the court of law and that it should not report on your credit. It does not mean that collection activity must cease. You can continue to attempt to collect a debt that has exceeded its statue of limitation. You just cannot report it to the credit bureaus or try to take the person to court.
- IrkedI received a call today from 1-866-611-3411. Caller said her name was Vivian. She was very rude. Said I had a credit card account, that I don't have (and I verified that it does not show up on my credit report), and that I hadn't made a payment since February and that they had sent me several notices. I asked her what address she had for me, and she spit back a PO Box. I told her that I don't have a PO Box. Then I asked her for the name on the account. The name she gave me was not mine. When I told her she had the wrong person, she yelled at me and said she had googled me and that she had the right person. Then she continued yelling, becoming incoherent and frantic. At that point I hung up. Definitely a scam.

- LAMET replies to Martin Albert| 2 repliesNOT BEING ABLE TO SUE - MEANS YOU HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHT TO COLLECT IT.
Its obvious that you have no legal right to collect it - if you did you would not be breaking every state and federal law FDCPA law in your attempts. - Not AloneSend them a cease and desist letter via certified mail.
The address is listed at the top of this thread, but is missing the zip code. The zip code is 60712. These people make a living by bullying people into submission. Don't take the bait- know your rights.- Caller: Praxis Financial Solutions, Inc
- Nick| 2 repliesHave been receiving calls from a Vivian Garcia from Praxis Financial. Was very rude and threatening.A relative she was trying to collect from gave her their checking account info, and a few payments were already taken out. Relative has been laid off and Praxis is still trying to take money out of the account, causing nsf fees. She said bouncing a check was a federal offense, and legal action would be taken if I did not make payment. That they were trying to keep this "behind closed doors" but legal action would be taken if payment was not made. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and she said no,that there was no possible way that I could talk to somebody else, that she was the account manager. Is there anything I can do about this? Should my relative pay them? They seem pretty shady.
- lamet replies to Nickno your relative should not pay them - should not have paid them at all.
the relative may have reset the clock on the statute of limitations
They are the ones who are bouncing checks by taking money they are not entitled to - so do not LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU

- LkingI received a call from this number starting back in October. Very rude is all I could say. I told them that I need to have something in writing to state to whom they were and the amount of my dept. John told me that they didnt do that and I needed to pay my bill . To make a long story short we set up a direct withdrawel from account to which thank god they screwed up. Only to find out from my credit report that they dont even hold my outstanding account....Go figure that out....needless to say I stopped the withdrawel from my account and am in the process of filing a complaint with whom ever will listen.
