Called about student loans, didnt ask for social or anything but put me on a hold and changed my fasfa passwords and hung up.

“Yes this is Stephanie and I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan um I need to discuss your repayment options with some new changes that have taken affect recently so if you could just be sure to give me a call back my number is 866-619-7616 and I'm going to go out and give you a student code if you would just have the Sandy when you call back that'll make things a lot easier your student code is 5569 thank you…”

I had an incoming call says SPAM RISK
then there was a message and the number showing was 315-533-4098
Her message was - Yes this is Stephanie Call  866-619-7616 regarding studen loan and left code # 5569
I have no student loan

Caller ID received it as “risk call” and then I received a voicemail saying
“Yes this is Stephanie and I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan um I need to discuss your repayment options with the changes _⁠_⁠_ _⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ affect recently so if you could just be sure to give me a call back my number is 866-619-7616 and I'm going to go to give you student code if you would just have the _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ when you call back that'll make things a lot easier your student code is 5569 thank you…”.

Funny how we all have the same student code!

I'm so confused as to how these people make money, but they continue to call to scam hardworking people, so it must work.

Stephanie called and wanted to let me know my non-existent federal student loans were experiencing some changes and I needed to call back right away. I'm so sad to learn I'm not special and everyone has the same student code. :/

Told me to call back at 866-619-7616.

Yup got the same message and code as everyone else. Call went straight to voicemail.

They called me this morning. I didn't answer and got the exact same voicemail. I'm just blocking that number.

She left the exact message to me with same student code. This confirms it’s a scam.

Just got the same call same message, the call didn't even go through on my phone but the voicemail number shows it from (423) 540-1121

She called with the same message. While I do have student loans, my servicer is saved in my phone and calls ONLY from that number and the representatives always identify themselves and the company they represent.
I know we all have to earn a living - but this aint how you do it.

Same experience here. No reference to the student loan company which makes me suspicious, and then seeing this I also received the same exact student loan code

Same thing happened to me, Stephanie called regarding my student loans with the same student code 5569..I also dont have student loans!

Received the same call as any others from a “Stephanie” regarding my federal student loans— called from 207-315-7123– see below.

Same here, I received the same call on the same date as you from the same number. So sad.

Voicemail came from 401-409-4009 from Stephanie about student loan repayment with all the recent changes that have happened, call her back at 866-619-7616. I have no active student loans. Obvious scam.
