    Same deal, different company name.

They're going under the company name IPC now.  I got a call from Patrick Burk.

He was going to send out a some Nascar stuff, and wanted to "refresh" our supplies.  Wanted to take me to lunch when he was in town, and started spouting off some items numbers and prices (quickly).  When he asked for a PO number, I asked for a call back number.  He kept working me for some kind of "Yes".

I called back, and it's their corporate office.

    Dishonest sales tactics.

Got a call from Jim Allen.... Tried giving me some "Tigers" stuff (to butter me up), and acted like we do daily business with him. Tried to sell cans of lubricant for $25/can..... wanted to send me 12.... As soon as the conversation went south, he hung up on me! RCS PO901 Northvale, NJ 07647.
    Beware, fast, smooth talkers.

Got the same type call from them the other day.  The person "they were trying to reach" was in a meeting so I went ahead and OKed the order.  I've already alerted our accounting dept. to flag any invoices from them.  I'm tempted to send them a box of crap at inflated prices too!  I might have our legal dept. give them a call just to bug them.

a few seconds agoGOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, AND DIDNT ANSWER IT, ABOUT HALF HOUR LATER GOT ANOTHER CALL AND PUT IT TO VOICE MAIL THEY LEFT A MESSAGE AND I CALLED BACK THEY TRIED TO SELL ME JANITORIAL SUPPLIES I TOLD THEM THAT I AM A DIRECTOR OF IT.  THEY THEN EXPLAINED TO ME THE BENEFITS OF COMPUTER MAINTENANCE.  JIST WAS BASICALLY:

Computer preventive maintenance means the operating system is more likely to be cleaned, fine-tuned and better prepared for the unexpected. If routinely scheduled maintenance tasks are not implemented, computers become infected, tweaked and not ready for whatever happens. While every mishap cannot be avoided, even small efforts made in this area increase a computer operating system's performance. Therefore, the investment versus payback ratio alone makes preventive maintenance important.

    Increases Computer Speed
Running scheduled tasks such as Defragmentation and Disk Cleanup can make a computer run faster. Do not wait for a disastrous event such as a system failure due to an overloaded volume on the hard drive disk. Instead, remove excess files on a timely schedule so that there will always be enough room. Fewer computer slowdowns will result from taking these preventive measures.

    Encourages Driver Compatibility
When updating drivers are a task included in a preventive maintenance plan, the computer systems are running at their best with the latest compatibility hardware and software drivers installed. Selecting "Automatic Updates" and checking manufacturers' websites regularly for updates also help in these efforts.

    Thwarts CPU Overheating
When the CPU (central processing unit) is kept within a stable range that is conducive to restricting overheating, system functionality remains more consistent. Computer strain resulting from overworked processes can quickly sneak up on a CPU if it is forced to utilize the last few percentages of available memory. The CPU's power-saving options should be set for maximum performance without risk of overheating. This should be reviewed regularly in case changes to the system have occurred since the last maintenance check.

    Helps Customize Performance Needs
The Task Manager can be used to allocate memory usage priority to those processes and programs that are most utilized. By viewing the Processes and Performance tabs, real-time CPU usage and peak performance days and times can be determined.

    Prepares for Faster Crash Recovery
Backing up your computer by creating an image is vital in preventive maintenance efforts. Running this task prior to and after conducting major system changes is beneficial to prepare for any unfortunate computer failure. If recovery disks are already on the computer preventive maintenance timetable, there is no need to think about it in between schedules.

I am suppose to go there for an interview next week to do some market research by telephone from home.  It sounded great after speaking with the woman and was even more interested since there is an hourly salary and its not based on commission.  After reading these comments I am rethinking this whole idea.  What exactly do they sell?  Everything it looks like...

I used to work for RCS and let me tell you, they are the biggest scam artists around.  They pressure their salesmen (and women) to keep pushing and pushing their potential customers.  They are on an automatic dialer all day long, and don't know any of the customers who they are speaking to, although they make it sound like they do. They were constantly getting calls about law suits, and always just brushed it off.  It was pathetic to say the least.  I am 23, and got sucked in because I was out of college, and wanted a sales job.  This was not the way to go. I left after I realized this job was not an honest way to make a living.  The hatred I have for RCS is unmatched by anything or anyone.

These companies go by the names of Rubi Chem and IPC. Rubi Chem is located in New Jersey, the other (IPC) Florida. They are both scams and owned by the same people! They call off a dialer pretending to know you. Promises of lunch or dinner when they get back out that way. The number in Florida is 954-973-3300 or 3301, and 3302. Nathan is the "manager," his ext. is 301. Bob the sales mgr., ext. 337 and last but not least we have Jeff @ ext. 304. So any complaints can be directed there. It is at least a start.

And anyone looking to answer ads for employment for these rip off artists, should strongly reconsider. They screw over so called customers, what do you think they will do to you?

How does this Comp get away with this?  Can they not be reported to someone? This happened to one of my friends. He was then fired due to this scam! Why would anyone want to buy over priced products just to get a free shirt and go to a baseball game. If you dont buy they still say you will get a shirt.
In this world with all the troubles we have you would think the Government would go after these people

    Hey guys,

I'm a college student working at RCS for the summer. Don't trust any calls from RCS, its a scam. The only reason I'm still working there is because I actually do get paid quite a bit. If you get any calls from IPX, IPC, RCS, just hang up. It's a scam. I'm just doing my civil duty and warning you guys.

Erica with R Systems. Wanted to know if this was jobsite trailer for one of our projects. Did not answer that question and asked who she was and who with. She told me and I said I would have to have someone call her back. She started to give me number and hung up in the middle of it. I get calls like this all the time. Called them back and told them to remove our company from their calling list.

I love this website, cause I can keep track of who and how many times these companies call.
