Saying they are going to serve me a summon at my residence on friday between 4-7pm and I have to have a form of identity. but no company was named

MESSAGE LEFT FROM INVESTIGATOR HARPER THAT A SUMMONS WOULD BE SERVED THE NEXT DAY BETWEEN 4PM TO PM AND TO HAVE AN OFFICIAL I.D. READY.

I got the same bs!
They call me every year. One year they actually got my money b/c I thought it was student loans... fooled me out of $500... you live, you learn, young & dumb!

@ first they called about student loans, then some type of payday loan, then bank loan bs..

Rec'vd a call from an investigator Cristine Sander stating that it was a courtesy call (at 750AM, which I believe is an issue to begin with, as collectors have a window of time that they can call) Stating that the person they were calling (which wasn't me) would be served a SUMMONS  regarding charges against me? The call came through as unavailable, but this # was left to call back.

Call was for my brother who passed on in 2010. Investigator Harper was an [***] on the message and led me to believe he was with the county attorneys office. After researching , it comes back to Check and Credit Reporting service. I spoke with Lisa and she was absolutely NO help. Anyways, i will be filing a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office in California and the San Bernardino County Attorney

Investigator Marshall Brown received a fax in his office this morning.. Hmmm, Considering I have had  mutiple calls  over the years from him, I would think he would come up with a better opening line. Dont trust these people.  The information they gave me was incorrect but they do have some personal information that might make a person believe thye owe money.

You are correct from what I have always understood Collection times. They should be calling is 8am-9pm of the receiving party.

Got a call today from "Investigator Harper" Threatening a summons and no further info beyond that. Total garbage. I don't owe anybody anything. This is a giant scam.

Gave a Name was with liason office ,received fax in office with my name & social, from a CCR & ASSOCIATES  & wanted a call to gave me a chance to response before issuing a summons to my place of residence, gave me a ph#866-676-2361 when call gave a case number to reference and considered this a formal warning and good luck, I know first hand, this is scam, like Cherson response you don't know and you seen money. But you learn from your mistakes and learn to sensor everything, because who calles and warn you they are serving you. & why is they never gave a legimate company name and always from a 800#. If you have every entered your info on line or applied for an on-line loan, people get your infomation name and SSN#  and make calles like these to get people who they think will fall for the scam and send money, this people are making money of people just doing this. Just read and article a few days ago, about such scams going on like this. why don't they the company you owe just since you a notice you owe them so something can be worked out.

I just got the same exact call.  The same liason office with the same fax received from the same CCR and associates.  This eases my  mind since it was the exact call that you just received

Just found call on my voice mail from a month ago really scary message of intimidation. After I calmed down I noticed red flags like unavailable number on voice mail. The message was hurried and not clear she called herself a Private Locator named Stacy from something California office and she gave me a case number. I don't owe anybody anything and nothing has happened at work but they had my cell phone number. I am so grateful I found these posts this is a scam. Thanks for the internet and you guys:)

I received a call today after listening to a message stating they are calling from the county law office.  They said they have a summons for me.  I should of known they were BS since my payroll person would have contacted me.  I called them at the 866.676.2361 and they came are asking me about a payday loan I got 13 years ago.  I told them good luck if you think I'm paying you back after 13 years.  Really!!! the nerve of  these people!!!

THEY CALLED MY HOME THREATENING TO SERVE SOMEONE IN MY HOUSEHOLD WITH LEGAL PAPERS. WE DON'T KNOW WHO THIS IS OR WHY THEY ARE CALLING US

Investigator Marshall Brown called from a blocked # and left me a message with a case number and said he would be coming to my home or place of work with a summons and paperwork requiring my signature!! He said in closing to consider myself notified and good luck.. Kinda freaked out but will be contacting the REAL" Check & Credit Reporting Inc." located in Buffalo, NY at a TOTALLY different phone # to let them know about this SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process.
