- casper| 4 repliesJohn,
You sound like an invesrtor in the company, is that true?? If you are how long have you been an investor and what percent have you gained by being involved wih the company?? Who did you speak with at the company and how much did you pay to join the company??? These should be easy questions to answer without revealing to much. I know these fellows will call you forever if they think you will become a client. Finding out much about the company is difficult like others have talked about, They do push quite hard to get you to give them information about yourself and your credit information. Give me and others on here some definite facts that can be explored.
Thanks- Caller: none
- casper replies to jerryJerry did you purchase the program r not??
- casper replies to joe cJoe did you join the company and if so are you making money with them or not??
- Megrim27 replies to casper| 2 repliesJust received call from these guys today. Sounded interesting, but I wasn't going to plunk down 6k right then and there, no matter how sweet it seems, so I told the guy to call me in a week. Not 30mins later he calls back, saying they'd drop a further 1k off the price and get me into another system FOR FREE! I'm sorry, but that's one hell of a high pressure sales tactic for such a "legit" company. Oh yeah, and "please refer us to your friends" sounds less than wonderful too. Can you say Ponzi? I think you can. And before you shills come in here saying "but there are no complaints!" Madoff didn't have any either before his whole scheme fell apart. Some people actually made some good money.
- David replies to john c| 5 repliesI signed up for this program. Their sales technique is a definite scam, however they may or may not do trades. Yet to be determined. I do know that they say, that if they don't make money in your first month, they will give you back half of your investment money. That is what happened to me and they refuse to do it, so yes I say this company is a definite scam. Their contract is also totally one sided and is illegal because of that, They also charge your credit card under Gulf Trading Company. Very shady. Do not trust this company. They may actually make trades, but they are definitely not an ethical and trustworthy company.
- Mark replies to jerry| 3 repliesDo you know of anyone that has actually purchased the S & P program? I've read a lot of skepticism as to the genuiness of GTA but only 2 postings of people that purchased the system. One said he lost money the first month and they wouldn't reimburse half the cost as they had promised. The other comment (appeared on the BBB site) from a Mary C. Sterling was very positive as to their service, even saying that the system was meeting her expectations. They were very thorough with me in explaining the system and performance but would not accept visitors to their 'offices' in Palm Springs giving a reason involving an alledged case of 'stalking' of one of their female employees that I found questionable. Also, I read a comment that the address of their alledged corporate offices in Rolling Hills, CA is a P.O. Box and that they are not really there. Anyway, their presentation to me was so professional I would love to hear from anyone that actually purchased the system. Up to this point I'd say that the 'negatives' outweigh the 'positives' by 3-4 to 1.
- Mark replies to Another Satisfied Client! You identify yourself as 'Another Satisfied Client'. Would you share with me which are the reasons for your satisfaction? I am interested but have read so many skeptical comments as to the genuiness of GTA (many of them making quite a bit of sense) that I have to admit to needing more reassurance in order to take the step. Right now my due diligence has me weighing the 'negatives' 3-1 versus the 'positives''.
- Mark replies to ClientYou say you are a GTA client. For how long? Are you on the S&P program? What has your experience been so far? For a company that claims such success I can't find any info to validate it anywhere. They refer prospective clients to the BBB but they are not registered with the BBB...?! I asked a guy by the name of Kevin 9who made the phone presentation to me) if I could visit their offices in Palm Springs and he said NO alledging that a 'stalking' situation in the past involving one of their female employees had made the GTA owner refuse to receive visitors from that point on. I find that very strange to say the least. I also read a post that their corporate office address in Rolling Hills is really just a P.O. Box. Anyway, I was impressed with the presentation and website and would love to receive any info you might want to share with me. Frankly, the negative/skeptical posts I've read outweigh the positives by a landslide.

David Elbert - mover| 1 replyJust received a call from them, and listened to the whole spiel. Sounds good, but they didn't want to let me think it over a day. Said some programs were filled up because they limit membership in order to give good service.
I didn't have the money available so they agreed to call tomorrow.
They show real good returns and I don't see much complaints on the web. If they really are 17 years in business, they would have complaints if they were a scam, wouldn't they?- Caller: Global training academy

- mover| 12 repliesI checked out which may or may not be connected, though one person said their cc went to Gulf Trading.
http://www.gulftrading.com/ Seems to be a different approach. He charges 1500 for hands on training for you to learn his system. However, his name is not given. Phone number is though.
Anyone have verification they were in business 17years? I see from "whoisit" the "globaltradingacademy" website was started in January of 09.
No address appears on the website that I can see. I suppose if they keep selling memberships and investing money, and giving some of that back, they could be operating a ponzi. The nature of those interested in these things is to be greedy, so they let it ride. Probably a small portion of people take money out. That is how Madof lasted so long.
My greed hates to think it is a scam. But I must admit, over the years, I have lost a lot of money getting involved in deal that offer high returns. I can't say one ever worked. And here I am, almost sent out a good chunk of money to someone because of a phone call, to a company with no address on the site.
I am honest and I expect others to be, but there are some things that make me nervous here.- Call type: Telemarketer

Global Trading Academy
Dear Paul,
I feel compelled to write this letter because of the way my awkward situation was handled by your company. The true mark of a company, a business and the people who work in it lies not in how they function when everything is in their favour, but in their reaction to the awkward, the difficult or the unusual.
I was first sold on Global Trading Academy when my attention was drawn to your ‘A’ rating with the Better Business Bureau, a rating you highly deserve. (It is easy enough to meet the requirements of the securities commission without being on a good footing with the B.B.B.) I was also initially impressed by the safeguards built into your system. Carefully reading everything required to accompany any futures trading venture is enough to make one who has been burnt feel uneasy, as are the terms of the contract. You and Scott both calmed fears and made the move sound like the kind of investment I was prepared to undertake. There would rarely be the big wild returns sometimes available to futures trading, but neither should there be comparable losses – which for an emotional trader like myself were generally inevitable. You made no big promises and reasonable reassurances.
When the new trade atmosphere between our two countries resulted in the “Accredited Canadian Investor” requirement that I could not fill, your company did not hew to the letter of an agreement that suggested that my inability to open an account would not result in a refund. Recognizing that we were all caught with new and unusual requirements you authorized a refund before I had even informed you of the problem myself.
When I first signed with you, you suggested that after a year or so of trading you would like a letter of endorsement from me. The trading I was unable to do, but your standards of decency, integrity and communication are such that you have certainly earned an endorsement. Anyone looking for this type of trading would surely do well to place their trust in you. Futures trading is always risky, but you have proven to me that you will do your utmost to look after your clients’ accounts.
Thank you for your concern and high standards. Perhaps in different times we may yet be able to do business.
Yours sincerely
Anne Macklin- Caller: GTA
