- RE-THINK! replies to cthinkAre we to assume that this person "Cthink" knows everything there is to know about automated trading. What are his credentials? If he has any, I would think that he would be proud to tell us who he is so we can call him and ask for his financial guidance. He states that he is on the "Do not call list" which would make me think twice about his motives here. He even admits that he "Did not get all the information" He also appears to be an expert on how to set up a phony business. Is this based on his experience, because there are companies out there that HAVE actually been in business that long with a great rating.....does he question them as well. Once a skeptic, always a skeptic.
Opinions are like A- - holes.....everybody has one. This is his opinion, nothing more. He has never used this trading system, or for that matter, even seen their presentation, but that accounts for 99% of the comments posted here. Based on the length of his post he has WAY too much time on his hands....maybe a hobby would help. Something other than trying to destroy the reputation of a business just because YOU didn't like getting a phone call. - Rilke replies to utgraddadWell, I checked this company out with the BBB and found my screeners to0 be on the money. There filing dates listede with the California Attorney General and Department of Justice or consistent. They have never had any legal actions filed against them Also BBB ranks this company A+
- Phil| 2 repliesReceived a call today from Steve Hall with Global Trading Academy trying to sell their S&P Emini trading system. The results look good but I am skeptical since he was very insistent on receiving payment of $5,995 via credit card right away, which is supposed to get you a life-time membership with no furhter costs. He finally agreed he would give me a day to think it over and is to call back tomorrow. Is there anybody using this system that can relate trading results or their overall experience with this company?

- you are not the ADMIN! replies to deleted postIn fact it's blogs like this that PROTECT people from SCAMS like YOURS.
People stupid enough to let you steal their money after being duly warned probably deserve to lose, and if you don't take it away from them, someone just like you will!
Does your mom know you STEAL MONEY for a LIVING? - Thank you ADMIN of this site replies to deleted postI constantly read where folks are upset at receiving annoying phone calls. I do as well. However, the do not call provisions require that the person being called verify their number with the calling party.
This is to also protect the callers/businesses as well as the ones called
To simply say that "I'm not interested" ... well, what is it that you are not interested in? And just because you have not experienced something does not mean that it is too good to be true. Case in points ... 1) Airplane travel, 2) Cell phone (ala Star Trek), 3) Aspirin not to mention people who have made tons of money on the market some of them buying stocks in Google, Ford, APPLE ...
For the owner and administrator of this site to rightfully say that this site is NOT a place to prove or disprove a particular offering is legitimate or profitable is correct. This is a place t find out who is calling.
If you want to know who calls you ... take the time to LISTEN and understand the caller.
If you want a particular company to take your name OFF their calling base ... be courteous and verify your number. If you are yelling, screaming, CUSSING ... you will NEVER be heard. The person who is calling you is just doing their job. If they have an honest product and it appeals to you then so be it. If you properly communicate with them and allow them to communicate back, then you will see they are professionals and can & will help you. Whether it is this company or any company.
Remember, HONEY catches more flies than vinegar. - Lawrence| 3 repliesThese people called me and let me save somebody some money, do not invest any money with anyone unless they can verify their results which they are claiming. This can be audited financial statements or verified brokerage statements (even with this, check the person who is signing off on the documents). Thats the starting point, get the name of the officers of the company, ask to visit their office even if you have no intentions at all, etc.. Do NOT rely on the BBB to make your decision.
- whats yor real name replies to cthinkI have discovered that "C THINKS" is a guy named Craig, who was burned by Trade Tech, who was recently shut down by the CFTC. He's going around to all the blog sites posting his BS story and has a chip on his shoulder about automated trading systems because he had a bad experience with another company, not this one. But now that we know who he is....
He thinks he's an expert on the subject, but he's just another idiot that didn't do his homework , made a bad decision and got screwed. If he had purchased a system from GTA, he'd be on the to recovery, instead of just bitter. You screwed up CRAIG THINKS, don't take it out on real investors that actually know the difference between a scam and a legitimate business. - Friends of Larry replies to Lawrence| 2 repliesGee Lawrence, let me get this right. You recommend looking at financial statements, brokerage statements, visiting the office yada yada yada............the same things that the folks who got screwed by Madoff did. Sounds like East Coast mentality to me. Anyone who tells you no to do proper due diligence is an idiot. He would rather look at a document that can be fabricated, than relay on one of the most trusted entities in the history of business. There is a lot more information on the BBB than just a letter rating. Business start dates, detailed information about the company and the services they provide and more. And you can walk into a luxurious office, shake hands with a person, look them in the eye and get screwed just as easily as if you did business over the phone. Any company that is willing to take you to government websites and by consumer for consumer websites has nothing to hide. These blogs are the only locations where you will find negative "opinions" about this company, not real product experience. And it's people like Lawrence, who've never traded with GTA, that keep adding fuel to this fire. I'm sure that GTA is better off not having any of you as actual clients, you people wouldn't know a real opportunity if it kicked you in the face. It would be interesting to go back to the very first posting here, and see how much money you all could have made if you had actually tried the system, and compare it to what you've lost over the same period. I would pay money to see that!

- I missed the bullet replies to client gtaNo, Madoff did not make any money. What are you talking about? Per SEC report he did not make even 1 trade in over 15+ years. He invested -0- of his Clients money.
- mack41 replies to JusttradingI was approached by phone tonight and am glad I went to this blog. I made an initial purchase but I must admit i am very nervous about this after reading several responses to GTA. I agree their approach appears like high pressure phone sales. Is there a way to back out ?
- GeneInFl| 1 replyThere is much to investigate and little to be gained by jumping into any investment program that has claims that are too good to be true. It is with this caution that one needs to proceed. My GREED would cause me to throw caution to the wind and just hand over $11,000 or whatever is requested. Are the figures actual trading ones? Are they registered and published each year with reputable firms and services? Futures Magazine for example would be a starter. What about the other issues surfacing? I am always ready to make money but reticent when all this confuses the issue. Better to go with another firm with a sterling reputation? You be the judge.

- larry replies to john coalI have a friend who works @ this co and hes worried they are going to fold. Hes been there 2 yrs and invested 12000 bucks and he always talks about slippage. He says he made 2000 last month but with the slippage it was only 200.Think slippage is his investors cut! DOESN'T SOUND KOSHER!
Took 2 yrs to get a website.
Dont do it! - GTA Compliance replies to GeneInFlOur systems are anything but "too good to be true." In fact, if you had taken the time to actually go through the entire presentation, we tell you over and over again that if you are looking to achieve overnight success...this isn't for you. If you want huge profits immediately, please go somewhere else. Our approach to trading the market is conservative.Hypothetically speaking if you averaged out the lifetime history of our current system you would be looking at an average monthly gross return of around $700.00 per month. If that's too good to be true...then you DO need to look at this! We employ 3 key formulas, method, discipline and money management. The fact is that everyone is scrambling these days. There is much uncertainty in the world. People are afraid of change. They would much rather have their money sitting in a bank or in a 401 or an IRA that's getting them little if nothing in return. Why??....it's SAFE...and the human emotions..fear, panic, anxiety...greed..they all play in. Sometimes...maybe even only ONCE in your lifetime, you should try stepping outside your comfort zone and take a chance on something that might just be a good thing after all. We offer a performance based money back guarantee on the cost of our program, and you don't even have to put any money at risk in the market to take advantage of that guarantee. But please, call me anytime with questions. 866-681-4821 and I will show you what we have to offer. It doesn't cost you anything to look. It might just be the last smart financial decision you'll ever have to make! now wouldn't that be a weight off your shoulders!
- D Teel replies to Mark| 1 replyI did purchase their system in May 2010. First trade made about $700. Then a series of losses started occuring. In a year and a half, I have lost $3000 of the $5500 I started with.
Sure, they have some trades that are profitable, but the losses all in all are exceeding the gains. I have not seen the 85% of trades making gains that they claim. It looks as if it's more like 60% show gains. Their stop losses are much higher than their average gain. A trade can lose as much as $700 before it does a stop loss.
A few small gains of $200-300 can be totally wiped out by a single bad trade. It has proved to be a very bad investment vehicle. I closed my account today. - elvis replies to john cYou are a piece of s%it. Scam outfit, u r a shill for the boiler house
- JonGlobal Trading Academy is a total rip off. False data! Bad support! And great lossses! How is this possible shown the trades they execute? Hmmm all looks great on their site. So after dumping $6K on this lousy system and trying to get out it. I get my final statement and they got me again for another $325 on a bad trade. Wow how do they pick such loosing positions? Hell I don't know really anything about the way the system works and I could just throw a dart at a list of stocks and do better. They just don't care about their clients. Do yourself a favor and just burn the money instead! At least that way you'll get some benefit out of it!

- Jack R.I have been investigating trading software and course vendors for almost 15 years. What we all try to forget(due to our hope and greed) is to ask ourself one question in every instance: If I had something as good as what this author or vendor is trying to sell me, would I myself sell it?" In 99% of cases the answer is always no. That is your answer. And about the sellers who claim they love to teach, thats B.S. and I will tell you why. No one is going to take away time from making millions of dollars trading to teach. I also do not know anyone who gets more of a rush from teaching than from winning at trading, do you. If it was even possible, then the only thing that makes sense is, keep your system or software to yourself instead of spending years promoting it at trade shows and on the Internet, make a few million, and then go teach live at a city college where your credentials can be appreciated.
I admit I have wasted years of my life just from spending 29.95 on a book by a supposed champion trader who "teaches all over the world" and has a simple winning rule you cant possibly lose money with: Just make sure you take a trade that is in the direction of the 8 and 20 sma. Then you'll always be following the big money. Sounds easy enough? Why was he taking the time to write a book about it then. I found out years later after reading and tweaking his methods hundreds of times and find that even if you could make it work....every system eventually stops working. So instead of selling hot dogs, these guys sell books! Are all books worthless? Not at all. But even a bookwriter should be asked..."Why are you bothering to put this information in a book for the world to see for a few dollars a book? Why dont you just use it yourself? This goes for Fibonacci, moving average systems. technical pattern books and dont make me puke....Elliot Wave methods.(I will open a brokerage firm just to book the trades of every Elliot Wave trader who learned from a book.)
This said, I believe there are chat rooms and message boards who for low or no price offer valuable guidance. But to spend 15k on a system that plots hidden Fibonacci areas on a chart? Good luck! Do you ever notice that most of the sellers have voices good enough to be game show hosts? Is this coincidence? I doubt it. And as an aside, the e-mini futures contract is the hardest to win at, and yet most systems deal with that instrument. Guess whY? Do futures trading companies like Shadowtraders, Back to the Future, e-mini addict actually attempt to defraud anyone? I doubt it. I cannot say as I never bought their product. Yet, my psychology given at the beginning of this post still stands. But who am I? I have no letters in front of my name. No degree in finance. Consult a professional before taking mine or any persons advice.- Caller: E-mini Master Trader
