I find it interesting in some of the above comments that only someone that didn't pay their debts would get upset about these calls or have to deal with them.  I believe and know from personal experience that it is just the opposite.  I take personal offense when someone fraudulantly accusing me of not paying my debts or calling and harrassing me about fake debts.  I was raised to be responsible and work hard accomplishing that.  Honest people shouldn't have to deal with organizations like this.  Yet we are having to due to ignorant people like those above that assume we are all guilty just because we are on a call to collect debt list.

I have received daily calls from this organization since getting this number 2 months ago without them leaving any message other than "This is Adam S...You are currently conducting business...... please call 866-696-4188"  Not who they were asking for or anything. I attempted to call them and told them if they didn't stop calling I will report and file a claim against them for harrassment.  The VERY rude gal that answered the phone wouldn't tell me anything without me giving her all of my information which I WILL NOT DO.  If I receive one more unsolicited recorded call from them I will file an official complaint.  If they can't even take the time to actually have a person call they really aren't interested in conducting business, only harrassing who they are calling and forcing me or others to have to call them to attempt (without success) to stop the calls.

As usual you can tell you have that collection agency mindset that all people are deadbeats and would only be called if they really owed something.  Maybe all this hits too close to what they see in the mirror???

You know what I like?  Bill collectors who call people with debt "deadbeats".  If it weren't for "deadbeats" what would you idiots do for work?  Its like a truck driver saying he/she hates highways.  I suppose if you didn't have that meaningful position you'd be in line over at the nearest tele-marketer's office asking for another job working with scum. Imagine how well the world would work if paramedics hated people with injuries.  The bottom line is that people with debt pay your stupid salary because you can't get a real job, so take your supposed high moral standards and go get a life!

Gloria, Gloria, Gloria...."Do Not Call" lists do not pertain to collection agencies. They only pertain to telephone solicitors.
Just pay your bills or better yet, use the money for a spelling class!

It's no secret that between the 'deadbeats' along with today's economy, I have job security. But I do reserve the term 'deadbeats' for those of you who just don't care and don't feel you need to pay your bills. Usually, you also are the ones who dont pay child support, and alot of times, spend your money on more important things like beer and pot. YOU are the deadbeats. At least I have a job! I dont wander from job to job, with a few trips to unemployment in between. That would be you DEADBEATS!
I'm proud to say, I've been a professional 'deliquint account manager' (or 'bill collector for those of you who didnt understand that term) for over 23 years.

I just got a call from this same collection agency. The rude woman told me that a JUDGEMENT had been made against me and that if I didn't want it to go any further that I must take care of it right now. I'm not an attorney but I do know that a judgement can't be made against someone without first being served a summons to appear in court!!! Furthermore, I know that I can only be sued if my debt is sold to an attorney in the state that I live in! Even then, I MUST be served with a summons to provide me with a chance to present my defense. Screw these 'debt collectors'!

i am debt free, so for me to get this spam call, just pisses me off.. I wont call them, they can kiss off. I'm a minister, and I officiate weddings, so this spam phone call, is a joke.

A voicemail was left on my cell phone as follows: "This is Holly Cohen calling.  I wanted to reach you in reference to a pending issue that you do need to be aware of.  I wanted to make sure that you are not blindsided by the events taken place and possibly assist you in resolving this issue amicably at this point. I do advocate a return call to my office today so that we can address this issue. I do need to make a final recommendation and it is extremely vital that you do contact my office immediately. 866-696-4188 in reference to your claim number."

The message was stern and the voice sounded threatening.  Interesting thing is I have no knowledge of any claim against me so how would I know what the claim number is?

Before you criticize Richard about local "councel", perhaps you should take spelling lessons with Gloria (former citicized perrson) - the word is "counsel." Observation: not all debtors are deadbeats...just like not al bill collectors are (in the blog venacular) [***].

Sorry to say this....but some of the biggest DEADBEATS are men of the cloth. If thats not enough to convince you, do ya have any idea how many non-paying debtors have voice mails that are praising the lord and blessing all of those who call????? True fact!!
I really do think alot....not all....but alot think that if you have the Lord on your side, he will pay your bills!!!

There are laws in Different States that prevent harrasment. When companys are told not to call again and they call. That is HARRASMENT. Check your states laws. In Oregon it is ILLEGAL to HARRASS.
