receieved a call from a Jessica Smith claiming to work for SRS and associates. I asked for a dunning notice to be sent to me and they said that i should have receieved one because they have sent them out. I told her i havent and she got very defenssive towards me. Number to call was 18665009832

Do any of you who posted that you worked for SRS know a James Andrews? Has been called me every day threatening lawsuit, almost every time he calls it is like he doesn't really know or remember that we spoke.  First he called from an 866 number lately it comes up as private.

I received a call from David Greco a few months in October 09. He left a message on my voicemail saying I had an urgent legal metter that I needed to resolve immediately and that I call him back at once. I called back late that evening and he put on one heck of a show for me.. He said that my file was actually being discussed at the moment between his boss, and the original clients, and that they had already put it across the district attorneys desk and that I was going to be served papers at work the following week.. He went into detail about DA's reply to him stating theat the DA would have me served papers of "defrauding a federal bank, a very very serious matter" and that it was not only possible but probable that I wold be serving jail time for fraud. He said with all the crackdown on white collar crime happening, they were now begining to crack down on "contractual fraud" ( i don't even  know if that exists, but it sounded alright at the time), and that they would make examples in court with the intentions of scaring other people into paying so they wouldn't have to go after them too.. I certainly woudn't put that past our government, so I bought it.. Now, I am npot an attorney obviously. He told me that I needed to retain an attorney immediately and that he would have the account put on hold until the following morning if his boss would allow. ( he stated that he understood my circumstances and that he would ask his boss to do him a favor on my behalf)Being the debt was less than $600, to retain an attorney would cost me about $1500, neither amounts of which I was in possession of.. he offered to put me on a payment plan and split it up over four monthes.. I had no choice, so I agreed. ( at the time I thought it be that or get served at work and maybe have to go to jail). I struggled to make the payments, ( even though I was never told that on top of the payments i made, I had to pay a $20 fee for processing) they even took a payment out 5 days earlier than we had agreed on once. Four months later, I have made all my payments as promised.After it is all said and done, I called and asked a letter stating that I satisfied the debt in full , as promised... I have satisfied what i now know to be a completely bogus debt matter with liars and cheats, and they will not even honor their small promise to me.. I have left repeated messages for MR. Shapiro (apparently this guy only goes by Mr.)I know I owed the debt, I was willing to pay the original debt, but after fees and everything, I was more than 3 times the original amount... I strain myslef to make good, and now they won't send me anything saying I am done.. I called they said to me the debt was satisfied, but noone can send m e proof... If I do not get results soon, I will be contacting a laywer on the entire matter start to finish, from their lying and telling me that the proof of debt I was asking for was given once already ( which it was not) and that they were  under no obligation to prove this debt to me "everyday", to telling me they were a law office, to being threatened with a lawsuit and jail time over a debt, to them taking money well before the contract date to do so, to not holding up their end with my proof of satisfied debt...

PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE-- I am a single dad, and was making my daughter's lunch for school the next day when i was threatened with lawsuits and jailtime... I got scared and reacted without getting all the facts. I was affraid that my daughter would go to foster care while i went to prison over $600. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN! I knew that, but they are good at what they do and can make you think irrationally... THIS IS NOT THE MIDDLE AGES! WE DO NOT HAVE DEBTORS PRISON! SRS is not a law office,and have no more ties to the District Attorney than I do. They can ask him to serve me until they are blue in the face, just as sure as I can ask the DA to have you served for reading this... IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. I am not saying to not satify your debts, but what i am saying is be informed of your rights, and get everything in writing from them first! i was told they were mailing it out that day and I should have it within three to four business days, but I needed to make a payment over the phone now.. I did, and no letter ever came. The only thing I have ever gotten from SRS is nasty phone calls and cancelled checks...KNOW YOUR RIGHTS, AND DO NOT MAKE A PYMENT UNTIL YOU GET VALID PROOF OF DEBT. ONE PAYMENT CAN REINSTATE AN OTHERWISE INVALID DEBT...there is time limits on these things, so get your proof and know your rights.

Got a call from Frank Shaperio, who was calling on behalf of Mr. Weinberg concerning a pending legal judgment against me. It was "absolutlely imperative that I call him back to to resolve this matter.  I checked my credit report and can't find anything on it that mentions their name as someone I owe money too.

They lie to people make you scare and you feel like you have to pay them. They also will take your credit card information and run a payment 2 to 3 days before it is do and will try to get payments on accounts that have been closed. THIS IS ILLEGAL and soon SRS and Associates will be shut down I will make sure of that!!!!! First do not pay anything until you get a copy of your credit report. Then check it make sure you owe this and get a lawyer Do Not Pay Them!!!! or gave them any account numbers. Also you will see on here some comments saying pay them I didnt and now owe alot of money or other smart comments to make them look good. Its them so dont be a fool. They have taken over $2000 from my bank account claiming that i owed the money but do not have any proof.  Please is there an actual business of SRS and Associates and is there an actual jack burns?

I do not work in collections but I have spoken to many customers at my job in a call center, who have recieved threatening phone calls from this company. They have been cursed at, threatened, and generally treated like crap. So obviously not all collections agencies operate as proficiently as the one you are employed with.
