    you are a scamer !!
You are rude & obviously trying to trick people into believing that you & your associates are debt collectors.
You have no business posting on this page.

Company identified themselves as First Source.  Did not identify themselves as a debt collector which I understand is required by law. Was calling about someone we don't know who just has the same last name as us.  They said they would remove my phone number.  I think the collectors just go through phone books and call anyone with the same initials as the person that owes the debts.  The lender probably didn't do a good check on the borrower before they gave them the money in the first place.

These people called my father and told him that I owed BOA $6000.00!  They asked my father if he was marrried; asked him what my mom's name is and also complained to him that they had been trying to reach me on another number.
Little do they know that I paid off BOA years ago!!!!!

    Annoyed Ex
Just received a call from them, he left a message asking for my ex-boyfriend (who I have not been in contact with for a few years). He was actually very pleasant sounding which obviously if you're a debt collector you need to be or you'd be pissed after every phone call.

These aren't scams. They're collectors who are looking for someone specific and may have gotten your number from another source --- that's if you're not that same person. I suspect these creditors got mine from an apartment complex's emergency contact form, that's the only place I ever gave out my my number to related to the ex.

This isn't the first time however I received a call asking for the ex, as he's a doucher who spends more money than he has and owes quite a few people money including myself. I usually just answer or call them back so that I can inform them this is my private number and to have it taken off their list. If they call again, I ask to speak to whoever's in charge to make a complaint (which has happened once). They usually back off after that.

Just FYI, besides the pesky phone calls this hasn't effect my credit score or any other aspect of my life.

    not me
This jerks are a collection agency usually for Bank of America evil empire...They call me about my sister-in-laws ex husband.... I love to yank their chains...neither confirming nor denying I am who they are calling about..I keep them on line, chat about Amherst, the weather, the Andy Griffin show etc.. until they hang up.
I tell them them number they called is in VA and they cannot record the call because without my consent which I do not give... this takes us into fun fun circles and transfers...

It's stupid but it amuses me!! I enjoy messing with them

These people keep calling me after I have worked out a solution with them for this problem.  What irks me is that they keep calling my parents even after I told First Source to take that number off.  My parents are elderly, in poor health and don't need this kind of crap.  They even called my work number yesterday (7-4-11) and I was off because of the holiday.  What kind of debt collector calls on a holiday?

    frustrated
I keep getting phone calls from these people - they no longer post their phone number on caller ID - it now comes through as a private caller...finally after receiving about 10 calls over the past 2 weeks and not leaving any messages...they left a message last night....they stated they were calling from 1st source advantage....looking for my ex-husband....and I should return their call at 866-697-4095.   So I called back this morning - wanting to know how they got my phone number...just because I lived with my ex over 20 years ago - they decided to track down my information...in  the hopes that I would know how to get in touch with my ex-husband.....I was pissed...they have no right to contact my number...I no longer carry his name - I am remarried...and he never lived at my address or used this phone number in his life.  If 1st source advantage can not locate the person they are looking for or if that person refusses to answer their calls - moves or what ever they are doing in their life...1st source has no right to track down family members - ex's - children or anyone who is related or a friend of that person....Figure out another way to track down your person - 1st source advantage and keep me and other innocent people out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys are slick. The woman slurs the name of the company a bit. They are chasing somebody with my surname. I'd like to find these people and cause an impulse on their nose with my fist.
