These people called for someone who doesn't live here and hasn't for 9 years. They actually called my neighbor who doesn't even know the person?

These people call and act like they talked to you before but they where using my x-wife's (of 20yrsago)name. Who are they kidding just another scam.

They keep calling, almost every night, and act as though we've spoken to them, but we haven't.  They even called an ex-spouse to locate us.  A real scam.

Called left message stating the urgency of returning the call without further delays.  The caller acted as though he'd spoken to me before.  Using scare tactics won't get a return phone call from me.

PULLED SCAM THAT WE WERE REFERENCES FOR A MRS BROWN AND HAD TO TALK TO US.

I'm constantly being harassed at work.  However, I believe this is unethical and illegal.  Threatening messages are left regarding the urgency of returning the phone calls.

called and asked for a name i did not recognize and proceeded to give my wife social security number and say her credit had probably been stolen.  i called back and spoke with a supervisor who said they must have called the wrong number.  immediately got my credit report and placed a temporary fraud alert.

Keeps calling me day after day and leaving messages that it's very important that I call them back. Lady in the message sounds really pissed or upset. Scare tactics won't get me to return their call.

Caller leaves message "very important I call back to Walt Baxter".  When I returned call would not give any info as to what the call is about until I give them partial SS number which I refused.  When pressed they claimed it was in reference to my VISA card (Which I do not have).  They keep calling every other day.  My next step is to report them to the Attorney Generals office.  There is no website for First Advantage.  This is definetly some type of scam.

I just got a voicemail from this number at work.  Brian from First Source Advantage wants me to return his call as he has something very important to talk with me about.  Probably about a bill I owe, but reading some of these posts gives me concern that I am in for a long time of harrassing.

calling me at a residence where I no longer reside. I keep getting messages from that residence that they are calling me and it's urgent. I don't really think I want to be harassed like these other callers by them...

They called looking for a person who's number this apparently was.  I told them they were in violation of The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (aka FDCPA), 15 U.S.C. § 1692 et seq., which is a United States statute added in 1978 as Title VIII of the Consumer Credit Protection Act. Its purposes are to eliminate abusive practices in the collection of consumer debts, to promote fair debt collection and to provide consumers with an avenue for disputing and obtaining validation of debt information in order to ensure the information's accuracy. The Act creates guidelines under which debt collectors may conduct business, defines rights of consumers involved with debt collectors, and prescribes penalties and remedies for violations of the Act. It is sometimes used in conjunction with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

i just got 2 calls over the weekend from them, they say its very important i return their call, what i want to know is how they got my cell #. and who the hell are they? are they a collection agency or scammers?
