I too was a victim of this scam. Why can't the theives be caught. This is an age where eveyone should use a debit card our credit cards and we have serveral desperate individuals that want something for nothing. Luckily my credit card company caught this and notified me of this charges from the Apple Store in CA. They canceled my card and reissued another. For you crooks get a real job like me and charge your own items on your own credit cards.

Got me for over 300.oo I had to cancel my Bank card and screwed up other accounts linked to this one What a mess. I called Apple with a number given to me from my banks 24 hr service and Apple rep was nonchalant and accepted no responsibility and turned me back to my bank. I told him it was ITunes that was getting there name dragged through the mud but still no responsibility, no offers to help. I smell law suit!

I received $300 worth of fraudulent charges by Apple iTunes phone number 866-712-7753. If you Google 866-712-7753, you will find scam alerts dating all the way back to 2008. So for this reason I feel like that the multiple charges coming from 866-712-7753 and scamming 1000’s of bank customers here in the US ,and internationally should be blocked automatically. If not blocked at least a fast track solution to get customers accounts back up and running ASAP. As it is now I have to be established a new credit card I'm charged with added on insufficient funds in excess of $100.I having multiple functional related accounts with other venders will have to be re established . I’m not sure how long this will take to repair, but one day is to many ,the old adage an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure comes into play on this one.
  I contacted Fifth Third Bank around 12 PM 03/27/2012, the Fifth Third Bank rep. was very unhelpful and nonchalant about this event.
 If I Google fifth third Bank's toll free number I only get positive things in the top searches. If I Google Nike's 800-number I only get positive things in the top searches. If I Google 866-712-7753 I get all scam alerts. I’m no IT security expert but I figured this one out all on my own! Come on Fifth Third Bank and all other financial institutions in the world! This should tell Firth third Bank and all the other banks/ credit card companies that this is a fraud. My complaint is that the rep for Fifth Third Bank did not become quickly come to my defense because somebody is accessing/ breaking into my accounts and taking money from me ,their customer
My identity, my money, and my security have all been jeopardized from a cyber threats/ robbery. I should be protected 24/7 no excuses. If someone committed unarmed robbery here at the local Fifth Third Bank ,you can bet your life   that The CCSD would put the smack down on the criminal and they would be locked up for a long time. Fifth Third feels no sense of urgency on my behalf and even penalizes me with insufficient funds charges when I experienced a cyber robbery ???
  Please Google 866-712-7753 for yourself and see all of the fraudulent things that have taken place with this phone number for years then pick any 3 other big name companies toll free numbers and you will see that the top 3 you choose will be legitimate while 866-712-7753 is scam /fraudulent charges abroad .Now you should see why something more should be done instead of just allowing this to continue while telling their customers there's just nothing we can do sorry. My complaint is that if third Bank should have more backbone and be more proactive in blocking these types of fraudulent charges, especially ones this obvious.

These guys charged $1.05 to my debit card, that I just recently had to replace due to someone else stealing my number. I've only used my new card at stores and restaurants and once on my iPhone the other day. Why is this phone number still in operation?

My husbands card was hit with this and somehow they now got to our card attached to our bank account 866 712 7753 is not a legit number and it is a scam shut your card down

I got a brand new VISA card and only used it in Paypal. Never for anything else. This card never left my wallet. Next thing I noticed was that this bogus $ 99.99     APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE charge appeared. I called Chase Bank and they cancelled the card and took care of the rest. In the meantime, I used my MC w. PayPal and voila, three days later the same thing happened: another charge from the same source:     APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE

So, I spoke to some people who experienced the same. All (without single exception) used the inflicted credit card at one time w. PayPal - so I think know I know what to do. I closed my PP account and swear that I will never have anything to do with these b*****

They got 250.00 plus two more charges pending. Why can't these scams be stopped? Arggg!

Got me for 99.99 three times in 2 days and one 40.00.  Bank is helping me and getting a call back from iTunes tomorrow.

My mother and dad who live on a fixed income was hit for 106.24 - I finally called the "real Apple Store" and gave them the 866 number listed on the bank statement and it is not one of Apple's numbers.  I never got anyone to answer just a recording to go to the website.  Creeps taking money that does not belong to them.

Same here , there is two transaction in my credit card account  from 'APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 CA'  description of   +$106.99 amount. on 03/26/2012 date.

I called to customer care of my account,   they asked to change new credit card.

I just found a $48.96 charge on my back acct and I don't own any Apple products so knew immediately that something was incorrect. Called the ph # and it is an automated VM and then googled the # and found all these reports - thank goodness! I went and immediately changed my card with my bank. These people are horrible and I don't understand why Apple doesn't do anything about this. These people are making a killing and it's just not right! Lunckily I check my acct daily! GO CANCEL YOUR CARD or they will just keep on!

starting last Saturday, March 30th I got hit with itunes charges for $40 and $99.98 then $34.41 and $40 more in the past two days but I've got a new card on the way from Chase and all four charges are being returned to me.  Only took about 10 minutes to resolve it over the phone but a pain nonetheless.   Weird thing is that i use this debit card at a couple of local grocery stores and the ATM at my Chase bank location only.  No Paypal tie into my card either.  Not sure how they got ahold of my number.

I was charged by APPLE ITUNES S 866-712-7753 CA for $108. This was the first Itunes fraudulent charge I got hit with. I have no connections with anything to do with apple. You can find fraud charges linked to this number going back to 2008. How the hell has this not been shut down yet? I cancelled my card immediately and hopefully I will be able to get back my money.

866-712-7753 is an Apple iTunes scam that taps your bank account.  It can be found on your bank account and the number cannot be reached.

just got charged $1939.97 from this number. reported it to the bank.

I have recently show a charge on my bank account for $106.84 that I did not make.  The number is coming up as 866-712-7753.  I see that many people state that this is not an apple number and may be a fraudulent number. I did go back and check my VALID purchases from iTunes and the same phone number is showing up on those charges as well.  I did check my iTunes purchase history and the charge for 106.84 is not there.  I called the apple number at (800-692-7753) I went through the IVR and was referred back to Apple.com/Support/itunes. I had to go online and send an email from the support page and/or chat with them.  I waited a good 30 min to chat and did not get anywhere. I am emailing them now and will see what the response is.

I'm over here in Louisiana, and I have just as well,received 2 unauthorized transactions, both on the 11th.   And 1 unauthorized credit.  but this moron did that payment twice which put me in under 40 bucks, and now I'm 110 dollars in the hole due to overdraft.

Same here, I had 3 charges on a CC not even associated with iTunes, This number showed up on the CC bill. My Dumb A$$ CC company told me I should call the number...BAD IDEA...good thing I am no that stupid. I am amazed the user of this number has been tracked down yet

There was an $1.00 charge on my account this morning that went through with this same number and info.  Thankfully my bank caught the fraudulent charge immediately and blocked the $105 charge they tried to put on my account.

It looks like this has been going on since at least 2007...why can't they put a stop to this person or group?!
