- pacohaasI just got a new iPhone and signed up for the 60 day trial of mobileme, that's what created the pending charge for $1.13, creating a new iTunes account is what caused the pending charge for $1.00. This is standard practice to make sure a credit card is legit when YOU enter it, even for "free" stuff. It may take up to 2 weeks for the pending charge to disappear. If you end up purchasing something during that time(for example a $0.99 song off iTunes), they'll just take it out of that pre-authorization.
Seems like there's another group of people on here that have had their card numbers stolen and have not only the initial pre-authorization, but actual purchases(probably on iTunes) by whoever stole their CC number. Those are the ones that should be calling their CC companies to report fraud. The pre-authorization people just need to wait it out and remember the stuff they used their cards for. - nobody you know866-712-7753 - this criminal is still alive and well in July 2009. Charged my bank account 37 or so dollars, didn't buy anything, don't own an I-anything. Disputed with my bank and they said they would definitely investigate. Somebody needs to string miss candy apple up by her ithumbs.

- superangryUnable to reach a human being on the number , sent to a web site, had already called the bank and had it posted as a fraudulent charge, but they had added napster and skype with charges totalling close to $200. The bank has posted all three as fraud, napster was the only people I could get hold of and also listed it as fraud and gave me a case #. Needless to say I had to cancel my card and the inconvenience is making me very angry. This all apparently started with APL mobile me which I also did not order. I check my accounts every day, so caught it still pending, but beware out there.
- Superangrydid not receive a call, this info was taken from the internet
- SuperangryDid not receive a phone call, info ripped off from somewhere on the internet
- MichelleTemporary charge for $1... I called my CC... the lady didnt seem to care... I wanted to reach through the phone and slap her. I talked to someone else... she immediately closed the account and the $1 will be refunded back. They will monitor the new account for any charges associated with APL iTunes... Glad I caught it before it went any further. Closing the account is a pain though.
- L replies to MaryMy husband got a charge on his acct the other day. It showed up in his pending transactions: 1:05 AM --- VISA Check POS Debit $1.13 --- APL*MOBILEME WWW ME COM CA (there were 4 transactions just alike)
He immediately called the bank and they are issuing a new acct. number and what not.
So look out. - Apple SchmappleI opened my credit card statement to find three different charges totalling around $100 from Appl Itunes and this phone number. I don't own an I pod -- don't download music at all, neither does hubby. Called my credit card company and they said they had a 4th charge pending for roughly $65 -- so now we're talking $165. Had to cancel my card, and fill out fraud paperwork with my credit card company. I'm just happy I never use my debit card online because I think these people got the credit card offline somehow. This scam is still active as of middle of August 2009 -- watch your statements!
- meacThis just happened to me. Call your bank right away.
- RONDANOT SURE BUT I HAVE A MONTHY CHARGE FROM DEBIT CARD DID NOT SIGN UP FOR
- Caller: APL*ITUNES
- Beth BraunAnother series of unauthorized transactions over 2 weeks for almost $200? What is with this? No one in our house does iTunes, but someone is using this number to try and bilk us of some easy cash...
I urge constant credit card monitoring so losers like this don't steal your money. Funny it happens at a time when I was preparing for a campout and not checking my bank statements at the time. Lesson learned--don't let your guard down! Credit cards aren't safe anymore...
Immediately contact your bank and file reports online so other people are aware of scams!- Caller: APL ITUNES 18667127753 CA
- ENo call- charges from APL*ITUNES ranging for $260+. Files a fraud claim with Bank, filed Police Report, and called Apple who thought I was the trying to scam them since my address did not check-out with their billing address on file. The billing address they had is obviously a fraud but they didn't seem to concern with the 30+ transactions (just happy to take the money)...End of August 2009, SCAM is strong and going...
- MarkHad a recent charge of $1.00 to my debit card. Called my bank and canceled my card and reported fraud. Hopefully this won't happen again with my new card.
