10 years ago I got a payday loan from Cash Money, I had a pay mishap and ended up paying them back 1 day late. They got their payment in full, plus an additional $45 return fee (on top of my banks own NSF fee). Despite this, Cash Money charged me over $100 in interest. I put a stop payment in my account and refused to pay it solely on principle because almost $200 for being 1 day late is criminal. CBV collections has been calling me for years attempting to collect on this debt, which has now managed to grow to over $250 (magically, I suppose). I’m in NS, it’s illegal to continue to call me over this after 7 years. Telling them to back off, blocking dozens of phone numbers they own, and threatening legal action have done nothing.

These guys are awful.

Received voice message from call ending........2167, claiming to be from credit bureau of canada, even supplied a reference number to refer to when I call back.  Sure is some scam and did not call back.  My cell was  literally right next to me and never actually heard any rings.  I feel this went right into my message service?????

They are calling my work I owe no monies out have reported them to the bbb and they are still calling my work. I got through and said they have the wrong person rattled off some names that I don't know. Then they say the calls will continue LWTF it's my work .

Yes, I bet that nasty letter the BBB sent to them scared them to death.  Since this is a debt collection call and since Canada has debt collection laws, why have you not looked into them to find out what to do?

Call and ask for someone with our last name. Think it’s a collection agency and we have nothing owing anywhere. I think it’s a scam

6x a day non stip calling

I think it's highly inappropriate how they sit there and enter ask me every other day stressing me out it's not right got nothing better to do and try to call me out on nonsense and then threatened me with the cops threaten me like they're going to call the cops on me and the cops are 45 minutes away from getting me yeah they need to give their head of Shaker get with the program or something it's ridiculous.

this caller keep calling me 3 times a day , they wont stop, I am only 11 years old so why would a credit recovery keep calling me I only had this phone number for a month now.

Send a cease and desist.  Make a copy of it. Then call Consumer Protection of your province, file a complaint.  That simple.

Credit bureau collections leaving  a long message for a Marvin Mellenhead or someone to call and pay up. I tried to call them and inform them there is no Mellenhead at this number. They hung up on me twice.

Keep getting messages from Credit Bureau Canada Collections looking for a James Jesso. I assume he must owe some money, but he’s not at my number.

Me too.  Credit Bureau Collections Canada is calling me looking for someone who isn’t at my number.

They call me with a case number but when the rep comes on the phone they stay silent if you Bronte say anything. Eventually they hang up.

Same for me. I called back, stayed silent and they hung up.
