- Gunnar replies to ArizonaI suspect that you may be correct Arizona. However, if Juno is in fact a Shill his ploy has backfired. Anyone who takes the time to read through that article will understand why. When that article was first published it was accompanied by many others in other publications across the country. The backlash was felt by the PDL & debt collection industry and the embarassment felt in DAs offices in over two dozen states resulted in fresh looks at PDL & Title loans in general. I live in a state where both are illegal. Several more do the same. Many more are in the process of following suit. I foresee a time in the near future when PDLs will be banned nationwide. It will make little difference. The scammers will simply come up with a new angle & the games will go on.
The real key to handling predatory lenders and creditors is in educating the public. The key to handling the vermin that collect for them is in learning how to hunt them down & having the power to prosecute, litigate or exterminate.
Live Well.

- Ladyk replies to ProfOj67| 3 repliesHello, I've received the same phone calls. They never say who they are calling for. They stated that they are calling on behalf of a loan that I got from a company 5 years ago. I told them that I paid the loan back and they stated that I haven't and this would be sent to the constables office in my county. I'm worried that this may get me placed in jail. Please help.
- ladyk| 4 repliesGot a call from 916-347-9473 to call 866-787-0577 called them and they stated that I owed money to a company called First Bank Of Delaware back in 2010. I paid that back in 2011, now the number calling me are stating that they are from Cooper, Hoffman, Klein & Associates. They stated I needed to go and get a prepaid card with $203.09 and call them back today and that they would place me on a payment plan. He said he would work with me but they he immediately started getting rude and needed a payment today or he would be forced to send everything to my County Constable and that I will go straight to jail for writing a hot check, but I never wrote a check, matter a fact I don't own any checks.

- The Truth replies to Arizona| 7 repliesjust so you all know... It is against the law to pass a bad check and it does bear civil and criminal repercussions. Once you take out a loan and sign a contract of repayment if you violate that contract meaning your account comes back declined due to insufficient funds if you fail to make a settlement and fail to resolve the RO2 status with the creditor within 20 days of them sending you notice to your last known address. You then can be charged with unlawful issuance of a bad check and then the claim will be deemed upon " prima facie " (first look) as evidence of intent to defraud. At that point your are held liable for legal action. So the moral of this story is folks.. Pay your bills and you would not have to be here in the first place. Just so you know more than half of the lenders out there now have incorporated with Indian tribes to become under the protection of sovereign law which means they are untouchable from the FDCPA and the FTC so please do your homework and make the right decisions before you end up with some serious repercussions. Most state laws deem a bad check over the amount of 500$ constitute as a felony so stop looking for excuses on here and just pay what you owe

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6355602 - The Truth replies to CWG40| 2 repliesIts not just a civil matter these people are breaking the law most of the time of which are scam artists themselves trying to make a quick buck by hitting up a couple quick payday shops when they know the money isn't going to be available on the repayment date. Which is against the law intent to defraud is a real thing ... Its really sad cwg40 to see you time in and time out defending these people when all they are doing is going on here looking for empathy with others who owe money and would not even be on here on the first place... If they just paid there damn bills. Stop living beyond your own means adhere to a budget like most adults do and that's that. Cwg40 the funny thing is your not even a debtor yourself so I do not understand your vendetta . Your not educating the consumer your actually enabling them to think this is okay. If anything all you guys are doing is creating a lawsuit against 800notes for slander and defamation of character

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6355602 - Slick Willie replies to CWG40| 2 repliesJust so ya know [***] all your information is invalid. This company Is based out of Richmond , VA I used to work for them.
- Gunnar replies to The Truth| 4 repliesIt seems that your scam has kept you from sleeping well. You're up early this morning trying to plaster this thread with your well-worn lines of BS. The "bad check" routine has been exposed here so many times it has grown mold on it. So have the "tribal entity" lines of reasoning. You WNY scammers have become unable to come up with any new material for a long time now.
It always boils down to the same thing. You are REQUIRED to adhere to the FDCPA. You won't because you can't. You hold NO valid title to ANY valid debt. You're just a scammer who sits all day on the phone trying to intimidate people in to paying you money that you are NOT owed. You won't validate your claims in writing & mail out those required notices of validation because to do so might be considered mail fraud. You won't give us a valid physical address of your outfit because you do NOT want to be found. You're just another "dime-a-dozen" scammer in WNY. We deal with your type every day. You're all just people with small minds, big mouths, big dreams, bad educations, lots of threats & absolutely nothing else. You all like to claim that people just don't want to pay their debts. Rather ironic isn't it? You're a failing bogus debt collector. You didn't get to be that way by being an upright, bill paying American did you? You see pal, the regulars here know what you are. We pay our bills. We succeed in life & we do it legally. It's too bad it's too late for you to give that a try isn't it?
Skeff Ett Liv!
Gunnar - Gunnar replies to Slick WillieIf that's true, then you'll have no problem with giving us their valid address will you? I think you're the same failing debt collector that has been busy this morning on this thread & you think that posting under another alias will slip through the cracks. You think you're bright enough to try to throw us off the scent. As I've stated before, none of you are hired for your intelligence.
Skeff Ett Liv!
Gunnar - Gunnar replies to The TruthOh Boy! Another phone-jockey, working for a bogus debt collection fraud-shop, threatening a lawsuit! That's really original!
Well fraud-boy, stay in touch. Let us all know how that works out for you. Not that we don't already know how that would work out for you. Do you actually think this is our first rodeo?
Now stop wasting your time you fool. You're boring us. It's obvious that you can't bring anything original to the table & if you persist we'll just have to go in to the legalities involved in trying to collect on invalid PDLs from where you're trying to do it from. Now run along. Erie county scammers give me indigestion...
Skeff Ett Liv!
Gunnar - The Truth replies to Gunnar| 2 repliesGun at do you understand what sovereign immunity means? The FDCPA or any other type of enforcement has no jurisdiction over that you fool
