Received a call from this number (on my mobile) asking for my husband by his first name.  I told her she had the wrong number.  She ask if the number was #### and she did have the correct number.  When I confirmed the number she said ok thank you and hung up.  Never identified herself or her business so I assume is not really UHC as noted above.

Called our home number asking for our daughter by name (she doesn't live here). Left message. Said he was "Brandon" calling from XYZ Company (could not make out the company name) on behalf of United Healthcare. Left this number and extension 66110 to call back between the hours of 8-4:30pm ET. Will not call back. If it's important, he'll call back.

received a call on my cell from 763-274-3899 ( Elk River, MN)  but did not answer.  Voice mail message sated person was calling about UHC benefits and that I should call 866-793-9371.  Difficult to understand message due to persons accent and the fact that they spoke very low, not clear and concise.  Personally I believe this to be a scam.

Got the same call saying the same thing sounds like spam

I received a call today from this number about coordination of benefits through UnitedHealthcare. Most of the message left was in a heavy accent, much of it unintelligible. I will call back and record the call for possible follow up if needed for any fraud case.

Got the same call. They asked if I had any other coverage.,..i told them I was not me! And disconnected.

It called today- I told them I was not me...she proceeded to take a message, and was trying to find out about other coverage...claimed to be United Healthcare.

Insurance Companies do have to verify there are no other Insurance company is involved.  If you don't call, they can pull the payments from you Dr and the Dr will come to you for payment.  So, don't ignore.
But I also don't trust random phone calls even when the Caller ID matches (which it did, in this case)  because they are so easily faked.

Call the number on the back of your card.  Any UHC rep can take care of this.  I just did it and it took a fe minutes to validate all members of my family.

This # left a message from Connie saying they needed to confirm the number of employees on our health insurance. I had just completed the healthcare census so I did not call back. Think it is a scam.

The person with whom I spoke at United Health Care confirmed that this was an illegitimate number calling me & there is no reason United Health Care would need to call me for benefits coordination at this time.  He also stated that this has been an ongoing issue as some individuals are misrepresenting themselves as working for United Health Care.  If in doubt, I'd suggest calling a reliable number to confirm.

My husband rec'd a voicemail from this number on 6/3/2019 and the caller indicated that she (Dawn) was calling for me from "Optum's Coordination of Benefits department on behalf of UnitedHealthcare" and that she was calling to "verify if my insurance is being processed correctly."  The caller left this (866-793-9371) as her call back number, her extension (660149), and a reference number.

I couldn't tell if it was a legitimate call, so I called the UnitedHealthcare members customer service number on the back of my UHC ID card.  I spoke w/a UHC representative.  UHC confirmed that the call was legitimate and that they were calling b/c my insurance records hadn't been updated in several years and they saw a recent claim come through to another insurance company.  I do have health insurance through my employer as my primary insurance and my UHC coverage is secondary through my husband's employer.

This is not legit they called with my maiden name and I am not a costumer so how can they confirm a claim that I never made?!!!!!!! Scam!

I contacted United Healthcare via secured email.  This is a spam call and should be ignored as they would not have called me to ask for my coverage etc.

I received a call from 866-793-9371 stating they were from United Health Care. They wanted me to call back to speak with Melissa so they coordinate my benefits. I didn’t trust the number since it came up as unknown. I called the number on my insurance card and they told me that my benefits are already coordinated and if they were legitimate wait for a letter in the mail.

Got a call from this number basically asking me the same thing as they asked the other commenters. With literally every other need from my insurance company or change with my insurance number, I get a letter. Secondly, my benefits are coordinated at a high level at my job. So this is a scam, they are NOT United Healthcare. They likely want your Date of Birth, Social Security number, and address and who knows what they can do with that info they get from you over the phone. Take out a loan? steal your benefits? If this was UHC they know very well what your coverage is.

Received a call from this number claiming he is calling from united health care and he even said curse words to me.
