Caller was looking for someone who hasn't lived here for 5 years. They said they would remove my number. Another call the very next day.

They say there a law office & to call them it is important matter & even gets smart mouthed on answer machine. caller id shows from Meridian Mgmt. but says hes from Brachfeld & Ass. Uses #866-834-3556 X6077 to call him back but,#713-579-7000 shows on caller id. I never talked to the idiot, sounds like a phony to me,they leave mess. & always a different person to get back to. who are these clowns?

This company calls me almost every single day.  I have explained verbally and in writing the unfortunate situation about five times.  It is a long story so like I said, I put it in writing (and have proof of it).  I asked the company to contact me in writing and not at work as I don't want to lose my job.  They continue to call me and harass me at work when I have specifically asked them to contact me in writing.  I have filed a complaint with the FCC yesterday.  Oh yeah, and I got a copy of my credit report and these clowns ordered a copy of my report!

I received a voicemail saying "this is mrs. williams from brockfeld and associates.  i have received a formal complaint about you in the office.  you must call me back immediately to handle this situation." When you call it just hangs up on you! What's up with that!

We we received several calls from Very Rude employees.  They stated that I have until the end of the month to pay them $5,101.00.  If they do not receive this, they will sue me and my husband.  I have Credit Advisors helping us get though this mess, and they tried to call them, and my legal rep Stephanie was hung up on.  I have asked several time for written documentation of who these people are.  I do not send money out to people who I do not know,  Randall (Stated he was the supervisor started yelling at me and really rude names.  If Sears does not want the negative outcome of this, they should pull it.  I have every right to get my bills in writing and talk this over with my credit advisor and legal council.  These people are rude on the phone they hang up on you when they do not get the snswer they wanted.  This has upset me by all the nasty messages that they let from me to hear.  These people need to be stoped and put out of business.  Since they threaten to sue me.  Then when they do not want to listen to what you have to say they put you on hold.  I have never in my Life seen just a rude an ugly people -Please help me

I too have received several calls from Brachfeld & Associates threatening to sue me and/or to serve me with a complaint already filed.  I checked out their website and also checked the California State Bar's website to see if she's actually a licensed attorney.  The good news is she is a licensed attorney in California, which means you can contact the State Bar by phone at 800-843-9053 or you can go to their website calbar.ca.gov and print a complaint form and send it to the State Bar.  As an attorney she is held to a higher standard than a regular collection agency.  If enough people file complaints against Erica Brachfeld and Brachfeld & Associates maybe we can put a stop to this.

I am from California and I have been receiving phone calls from someone at Brachfeld and Associates.  I called them back but no one answered.  I decided to do some research on them and came across this website and was stunned to see how many people have had problems with this place.  They have me rather frightened because when the so called attorney spoke with my husband they said they were going to sue me and attach my wages.  I panicked and called my bank that has my car loan and made arrangements to defer a car payment so that I had some money to offer them.  Now I'm not sure I want to do that.    I don't want to be sued but I also don't want to give my money to these people and not have my debt cleared up.  I'm at a loss here as to what I should do now.  Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

These people are so mean! I had agreed to arrangement, then I had to make a change, and so I did the right thing to call and inform them, and the same lady who had been nioce to me initially was so rude, she was horrific, she was raising her voice, not letting me get a word in edge wise, and then they had me on hold for what seemed to be an eternity as they got a "supervisor," and in the background it sounded like a complete circus. These people are not civil, and it a shame that someone has even employed animals like this. Barbara Kyle, ext. 6017-what a cow!

To all out there experiencing these harassing calls as myself.  Do not send them any money. First go to the Federal Trade Commissions webpage and go to consumer complaints and file a complaint.  Next go to the California Bar Association's webpage and file a complaint against Erica Lynn Brachfeld bar license number #180683.  She is one of the head persons at Brachfeld and Associates and any representative at her agency who engages in unethical behaivor speaks for her.  Enough complaints to the California Bar and FTC will start process in letting these people know they are dealing with informed consumers.  Next I am looking to start up a list of people in order to start a class action law suit against this company any interested people should respond to this post.  If I get over 30+ people we can move forward for a class action complaint.

called from 866-835-1915 for someone who does not live in our home.  Someone named Santiago at ext. 6036 threatened with the phrase "return my call within 24 hours or face the consequences".

I am being sued by this "law firm" regarding  a credit card debt which was purchased by a group of thugs called NCO Portfolio Management. Brachfield "represents" them but I think they are one and the same company. I received the summons in the mail this morning.

Called to speak with me from a private number - my daughter answered, he was rude and had a terrible attitude with my daughter.  I am sure this is in regards to me calling a lawyer in response to their threats.  Yes I owe some people some money, but unfortunately you cannot get blood from a stone.  Do not give these idiots anything.

They are NOT a law firm in Texas, report them to the Texas State Bar for unauthorized practice of law.
They do not have a bond in Texas, sue them, you can make them pay.

its been almost 2 months that i paid and setelled my account because they said they will sue me, so i got scared and paid them and i spoked to Candice, i call again for the 3rd time requesting my letter stating i paid this account she said she will fax it but i didn't get any and she just hang up on me with a rude manner

I also am a victim of harrassment from this so-called company.  I just called to have them send me some sort of written correspondence they have claimed to have been sending me.  I was informed by them that since it's been approved for suit they can't send me anything. I asked what will happen if I don't go to court and was told that an assets background would be done, my approval not needed, and/or my wages would be garnished.  Can they do that?  I asked if they were licensed to practice in the state of FL and she said yes, but a legal minority would be representing them. I asked who it would be and she didn't know.
Can they in fact garnish my wages?
