This company is also Suing me,I replied in 30 days to the court because they will not provide and proof and the court house told me some guy I never Heard of signed the Summons that is fraud and they also will not provide proof of this make believe person who is related to me that signed for the Summons.I called them to let them know
that I filed back in 30 days and they seemed pissed because they thought I would just pay them and now are Jerks and also hang up on me

I have received the same calls from the same number and extension, only the person calling me said his name was Bill Ballard and Will Ballard. I have also received calls from a Lisa by the same numbers. What's going on???

claimed to be from an attny's office. refused to give me their address or correct spelling of their business office name...claims that i owe them money and will initiate a lawsuit and garnish my wages. asked repeatedly for details or documentation..they hung up on me multiple times

I have received several calls from them on my answer machine with the same number they left but different people with different extentions.  One of the messages left was from this Brokfield & Associates with the message saying it was reguarding property on 25th St. I finally called them back.  I asked for something in writting to let me know what this assumed debt was all about she put me on hold and another woman got on the phone and said I owed (XXXX) and how was I going to pay.  I asked for her to sent me info my mail so I could look at what they said I owe.  She started yelling saying she put in a request to send me a letter but that I owe them and how I was going to pay, and that I own property and I had credit. I advised her not to threaten me and stop yelling. She then said I stole the stuff I bought with the credit card since I refused to pay.  I said I never said I would not pay if I owe it and that is why I am asking for a letter from them with any information they had.  She still yelling at me said that did not matter I owe and I needed to pay how was I going to do it.  At that time I advised her this conversation was being recorded for my safety, she said I did not have her permission.  I advised her to hang up, she said no and again I did not have her permission and how was I going to pay my debt.  I then advised her Send me my letter and I will hang up.

I received a call from a Mr. Ivery who said he was from NCO Financial, he would not tell me anything else except I owed money and he threatened me. The phone number I have for him is 888-899-8034. Do you have more info on this company, address, etc.  I also think they are with Brochfeld & Ass. because they are calling me also with the same credit card debt.

Another lady called me from this company and left her phone number.. It is not Stephanie another woman who was rude and said that they had a court order to Garnish my wages.  So I googled this number that she had left 866 835 1915 and WOW look what I found.  They called me back 4 times in 10 minutes.  I will do what everyone said on this site.  which is to report them.  Thanks all.

I was being harrassed by LVNV Funding & Erica Brachfeld a year ago, I demanded proof of verification FOUR times with return receipt registered letters. Communication was ceased until I was summoned recently ONE YEAR LATER. I have turned everything over to my attorney. My attorney has not been able to get ANY response from Erica or her goons... which will be of my benefit when this goes in front of the judge. I, too, am for a class action lawsuit rewarding each of us $1000 per violation, which taken by several hundred or thousands of consumers at five or six violations each SHOULD teach Erica a very important lesson, that SHE is not above the law.

I know. I tried to call them back and as professional as they are, they do not even have voice mail to leave them a message that you are returning their abbrasive messages.

We are getting calls from Marissa at 866 917-1298 ext. 2315 with a reference number.  I called back and left a msg.  They say they are Brockfeld and Associates, "a Law Firm".

How funny! They accuse you of stealing when they themselves are using the system to line their pockets in a million dollar industry! Buying junk debts at pennies on the dollar and demanding the full amount from you, when it has been written off by the original creditor. They cannot validate the debts most of the time. This is just legalized crime and the federal government needs to step in because the junk debt buyers are the ones who are stealing. They are gambling on their own scare tactics. They are just dogs that bark, no bite - because they cannot provide the courts with adequate burden of proof. They are hoping you ignore their lawsuit. Keep a paper path, keep your return recp't requesting validation. If they fail to provide you with this information, chances are slim for them to win in any courtroom. The number they gave me to call back was 866 598 9371, I replied soon as iI got the message with no reply from that end, I called the Number 3 times. They had extensions but left no names for the extensions, I was trying to reach a (Stephanie). I listened to the message they left 3 or 4 times and I believe it to be Brockfield and associates.

I got sued by these people. They took me to court, I went to court twice and they never showed up. The case was dismissed.

People, do not fear this so-called law firm.  I was told by the law library where I live that the way they sued me was incorrect and that I can actually sue them back.  I really don't care taking them to court, but it infuriates me the way these guys treat people.  

Did you guys know that it's against the law to threaten people over the phone or just threaten people, period?? Please, do your research and don't let people like this take advantage of you. If you're a student, your college or university should have a law clinic where you can get free legal advise. You can also go to the law library in your city and get all the information you need.

I have received several calls from a computer-generated voice, named "Frank" inquiring about a person unknown to me and not at my phone number or address. Repeated requests (3) to discontinue calls have not been effective. The calls continue and are very annoying.

You've got a lot longer to wait.  I've been trying to get the settlement confirmation since 03-31-2008.  This isn't my debt.  It was done by a relative using my mothers SS# after she had a stroke.  I collected the settlement amount from this relative and had it transfered to this so called law group and I still don't have a confirmation.  Resurgent bought this note and I have had all kinds of threathening phone calls one of them just 30 minutes ago yelling at me telling me that if I did not have proof then there was no settlement.  I told him where he could go and hung up on him.  I too believe all these companies are connected and are playing games with people.  I was in collections for over 25 years and never had to resort this type of harrasment.

Don't you have a statue of limitiations in your state?  Once they run out, no one can legaly file against you.

Erica Lynn Brachfeld, a California Attorney at Law (Bar #18063), represents LVNV Funding in filing bogus lawsuits for breaching contracts that do not exist.

As a result of defending myself, I have spent nearly $6,000 in attorney fees and court costs.  Ms. Brachfeld dismissed the lawsuit before we went to trial.

It was her “rental” lawyer that came to a Mandatory Settlement Hearing and told us there was no reason to waste anyone’s time when he approached my attorney and myself as we sat in the hallway of the Superior Court.  He admitted they (LVNV/Brachfeld) had no proof of burden to support the lawsuit.  The “rental” lawyer and my attorney set the trial date as he suggested.  He said it would be an easy “less than an hour” defeat for us should it go to trial, but assured us the case would be most likely be dismissed.  Sure enough, it was.  

It just saddens me to think this woman knowingly and willingly signs these frivolous lawsuits that abuse the system and line her pockets in gold.  I seriously doubt she even reviews the lawsuits she files.  Had she followed proper protocol established by the Federal Trade Commission and showed me the proof I requested upfront it would have saved me a great deal of time, grief and money.  It would have cost less money and stress to give in to her demands, but it was just so entirely wrong.  

LVNV is also at fault here.  However, Ms. Brachfeld is an attorney and she absolutely knows she is abusing the judicial system by assisting companies such as LVNV Funding in what seems to be in the business of contemporary racketeering.

I had sent several certified return receipt requests for validation long before I was served.  All were signed, all were ignored.  Harassment by virtue of phone calls continued even after litigation started, including phone calls to relatives asking them how I was going to handle the lawsuit.  Until then, relatives knew nothing of the suit.  I still have a message from “the Law Office of Erica Brachfeld” on my phone that establishes the "edge" in the tone of voice used to intimidate her victims.

Ms. Brachfeld feeds on the ignorance or weak financial status of her victims, and usually wins her cases by taking advantage and abusing the legal system as she has with me.  I stood up and fought for what was absolute.  However, I do not feel as if a victory was made.  I not only suffer the loss of the cost to defend myself, my credit has also taken a plunge and now it will be my task to get this mark removed from the  three credit scoring agencies.  

I am handicapped in a sense that I can not get a low interest loan because of this scar.  I will have to invest time and money to have it removed.  I am sure this is the last priority of LVNV Funding or Ms. Brachfeld.  In my opinion; they are scum.

I suffered from her conscience disregard of the legal system and actions.  Ms. Brachfeld terminated the case she filed against me because she knew she/her client would be easily defeated, thus they establish the essence of my innocence.  She knew the courts would have sanctioned her and the possibility of damages be rewarded.  She ran like a dog with her tail between her legs.

I don’t believe any reasonable attorney would have filed a lawsuit that had no basis or proof of burden.  She has a host of pending lawsuits against her which implicates to me her honesty.  Ms. Brachfeld has violates sacred public trust which bestows the power to file and prosecute legal actions. Ms. Brachfeld is a threat to the judicial system and deserving of the indignation I feel.  She is being fed by dirty hands and she has to know that.

Erica Lynn Brachfeld is profiting from manipulating the judicial system for which I suffered from her maltreatment.  Should a medical doctor act so unprofessional he or she would have to pay a horrific price.  Apparently, her father Martin was disbarred, and so should she.

Erica, I will be seeing you in court.

I have now taken over 10 calls from these people, and the last time I told them if I got another one I would reprot them to the FCC, and that is what I did.  

As with other posters they left that same silly message and this was one time too many.

I hope that something is done about this as it has come to a point of being annoying to now on the verge of harrasement.
