Left message about important business matters and the an extension.  Shows as out of area.  Has called other times, and the message thanks me for being on hold and then hangs up.

It appears that nothing stops them from calling and they are just a scam.

They keep calling me and leaving threatening messages. Says they are a debt collection agency. I don't owe any debt and if I did I would probably be getting a bill in hte mail. I tried calling them back last night and when I call they ask for my phone number. I hung up on them. I figured it wasn't legit.

WARNING! DO NOT DIAL ONE TO SPEAK WITH A REAL PERSON!

These knuckleheads call day and night, weekends and hiolidays. I sincerely doubt therre is a real person involved in these calls. I am never at home, so all I hear is the recorded messages. I have no business with anything or anybody in Canada - so I will continue to not respond.

However, I did pick it up once ... pressed 1 to speak to an operator and now I am worried that I will see a very expensive call billed to me, seeing how '1' is the start of most long distance calls. I could kick myself!!!

    ***FRAUD ALERT***

They call our house several times per day identifiying themselves as being from NAFS, 335 Ontario St, St Catherines, Ontario L2R5L3 and insisting that we owe money. This is a scam!!

How do we know it is fraud?

    1) They do not even have our correct names!!
    2) We never did any business with the company they say we owe.
    3) We never got any bill in the mail regarding the supposed debt.
    4) When we said US law requires them to provide some proof of the debt or stop calling they said they are in Canada and do not have to abide by US law.
    5) We convinced the NAFS caller to give us the account number of the alleged debt.  When we called the copmany we supposedly owed money to, they said that was not a valid account number!!
    6) They insist we have to "prove our innocence" by givng them our birth dates and faxing copies our social security cards to them. NO WAY!!! Are they nuts???

We have filed complaints with the phone compnay and the local police, but they are powerless and can only forward the information to the proper authorities. I'm sure this is not a high priority since there was no loss, but it is a pain in the neck.

***DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION***

I'm now doing to them what they're doing to people -  calling them and driving them crazy.

I first dial *67, To keep my identity private.
    Then I dial 1-866-840-1377.

I don't say a word until they hang up in frustration.

We need thousands of people to do the same thing I'm doing.  Call them several times a day.  Ultimtately, they'd get so frustrated, that they'd stop making unsolicited calls.

I'm another person who's getting calls and voicemail from this company.  I'm very glad I found the info here.  I would've been suspicious of them anyway, since they've been calling my cell phone and I don't give that number out to anybody I might owe money to.

It's too bad I can't block numbers from calling my cell phone.

My caller ID came up as St. Catherin, Ontario (905) 346-4200.  When I answered they asked for my dad (they said his name) who has never lived with me (he doesn't even live in the state I live in).  They said they were a debt collection agency NOT located in Canada (of course, that's why the caller ID said Ontario... yeah right).  Anyway, I hung up on them but I thought it was odd that they called me looking for my father, who has perfect credit by the way.  What a load of crap.  Canada sucks.

Recieved multiple messages on machine. Finally returned call. First individual informed me that I had a $500 bill from Sprint from 2002. I informed this individual that I contested the bill because I have never done business with Sprint. I then told him not to contact me again until he wanted to take me to court.

A few days later, a female called. She had the same schpiel. I informed her that I was going to have to report this to the Kansas Attorney General, because I had asked them to cease and desist. I told her I had not received any proof, and then I asked for the address of her company so that I could send them a certified letter.

She refused to give the address of the company, unless I verified my birthday. I refused to give her this information, and after several attempts to get their address, I became quite beligerent. She said that this message was being recorded, and I told her that was fine with me because it'll show she refused to give me her address. I told her to sue me if they wanted to and hung up.

About 30 minutes later, I called back and got the same lady. I again asked her for the address of the company. She actually apologized for the harrassment, and said that they had found the correct person. I told her I still wanted the address, so she forked it over.

These knuckleheads are calling day and night: weekdays and weekends: time is not even an issue. This past weekend 'they' left a message at 10:33 PM Saturday Night.

    They are just plain annoying.

If anybody does chat with these people, you'd be able to find out that this "Canadian" firm is trying to collect on dead United States debts.

I will NEVER pay anything to these knuckleheads ... scammers .... toilet scum.

I am going on a campaign of retalliation. I am seeking out applications for credit and submitting NAFS information. Let them get the calls for real estate sales, viagra, home remodeling and finance your child's education. Those callers never give up either!

Caller asked for my grandson, but would not tell me anything other than it was a Canadian collection agency. My grandson has never been to Canada. Keeps calling me everyday. Even when I talked to someone, they left horrible messages on my phone.

I get getting more and more calls per week, it is up to everyother day. SO far, haven't gotten calls earlier than 8am but considering i am a college student, it sucks!! One of the messages was actually threatening. The only debt I have is student loans and they will not be needed to be paid back for a long time!!!!! I am on the phone with my phone company in hopes of blocking the numbers or at least reporting it. If they continue, will try to change my number and change it to a private one at that!!

I too have been receiving several calls a day for the past 2 weeks. I did contact them and they stated they were a collection agency. They were looking for someone other than myself but had my previous address. They insisted that it was a sprint bill from over 7 years ago. I stated that I'm in good standing with sprint and I am still a customer. They tried to get information out of me but I knew better.

I asked them if they had bought a list of old debts and if so they didn't get their moneys worth because they have bad info. I told them not to contact me anymore via the phone. I told them to mail me varifyable proof of this debt but I have not received anything in the mail and they continue to call.
