I got this scam text message:

FRM:VISA
MSG:Your VISA account is closed due to unusual activity,call us at 1-(866)864-7960

I got this too about 5 minutes ago.

VISA alert: #773201
ACCOUNT FROZEN, call us at 1-866-864-7960

I got the same type of text message:

I just got the same message.

I got it too! a text stating "news@guardsite.com   VISA alert: #773201, ACCOUNT FROZEN, call us at 1-866-864-7960"   I did a quick search on google for the number and nothing popped up.  I called, and it went to some answering machine...  I came to this site and see that others are getting this also.  Probably some scam.  I regret calling the number!!  DON'T CALL IF YOU GET IT.   Anyhoo, some people need to get a life.

This is a scam.  If you call the number, the first thing the recording asks you for is your visa/debit card number!

Got a text message from this number at 2:27 pm Arizona time on 5/26/2009

VISA Alert: # 773201 ACCOUNT FROZEN, call us at 866-864-7960

hey isn't that funny; we all have the same account number! wow, what a coincidence!  well ok it isn't, but do they really think some of us aren't going to compare notes???

I received the same text message 10 minutes ago.

Just got a text from this phone number saying my Visa account was frozen.  I don't even have a Visa!

definetley a ripoff!

The sad thing is that this scam works on some people.
