This is happening to me also! They call my work everyday, sometimes twice a day. How do I stop this??? I work in a lab and sometimes is very inconvenient for me to stop what I'm doing and answer the phone. I will NOT call the 866 number, ever!!

Congress had your back four decades ago. The FDCPA gives special mention to places of employment. A debt collector who "knows or has reason to know" the boss doesn't want employees pestered is barred from calling again. It's implied that the notice may come from anyone who intercepts the calls. Whoever does so should be explicit, since we are dealing with a breed which thinks that rudeness and trickery wins the day. Phrases like "stop calling here", "not permitted", and "against company policy" should send the message clearly.

Alleged debtors also have the power to limit or ban all collection calls to any places of their choosing. Don't want calls at work? Don't want calls at home on weekday afternoons? Whatever is convenient for you is the window the collector must use. It's best to set down your terms on paper and send them USPS Certified.

Of course, what you demand you may not get from bullies like those at Central Credit/Radius, in which case you'd best have proof of the "shut up" receipt, and thorough documentation of every infringing phone call, to carry into Federal court for payback.

Blocked the number; 19 seconds of voicemail message of nothing.

Calls and silence on the line.

Keep getting early morning phone calls purportedly from this number.  No messages have been left during any of these calls -- so far.  These are not harmless.  They interrupt our days and have no consideration for how they could affect the lives of recipients, particularly those who are ill or disabled.  Why doesn't our "law and order" government deputize companies to go after such shady outfits? Let them keep whatever monies they can squeeze out of them to put them out of business once and for all!!!
