I only charged 1.75 to receive a CD and they charged my account $72.21 immediately. I am sick and disabled, and I was trying making a living from my home and this happened to me. I am reporting this to better business bureau and so should you.

I have the same situation here guys. Call them from England today.Recive a confirmation number for canselation. Will contact my Bank to prevent this [***] in future. How long need to wait to see my money back?

I received a CD from Google that they charged me $3.38 for, then the next 2 days I checked my bank account, and there was a charge for 72.21 from a 1866 number. I looked it up and found that it was made from Google w/o my consent.

I just called that same number and continued to hit the # key and then got a live person. Be sure to ask for a cancellation number. They do say 7-10 days for a credit to reappear. Wachovia (now Wells-Fargo) will not permit you to dispute this until you have spoke to them and given them the 7-10 days for the credit. This is truly a scam!

It's funny that your's acutally had a valid name. Mine on other hand did not it stated "8299ForRefundsCall866957". Once I called my bank it took 3 different people and 40 mins. to get the correct phone number. But all these posts sound the same. We sign up for the $1.97 CD and the screen pops over to where you cannot read the terms and conditions that state "trial period is 7 days after 7 days you will be billed $72.21 monthly subscription." You have to call and cancel and be sure to get a cancellation number.

I tried the 0020 number and just got a recording  i called the number on the cd it was 866-951-1406 and talked to someone and got my refund and cancelled something  I never signed up for

I finally got through after waiting for about 20 minutes on hold - not only did I get the charge of 72.21, but for the better part of the "trial offer" I couldn't get into the website they sent me to!  The cd came later.  But I did get a confirmation number on the cancel!

i definstly agree.. its bull.. it over drew my bank accout and there closed today so i cant call and cancel... the day after i recieved the call that they were gonna send the cd i canceled it cuz i didnt wanna deal with whatever i signed up for(and they dont even go into detail what it is ur signing up for) i didnt even have it for 7 days and it charged me this bull im so nbeliveably mad

Just curious, did they refund your money? I rec'd a charge of $1.97 and then 9 days later a charge of $72.21 appeared. I had to cancel my card to reverse the charges and file a police report.

I rec'd a charge of $1.97 on 4/23/09 and just now one for $72.21. This is a total scam and I don't see how a large company as Google would allow their name to be attached to such a scam. I had to cancel my debit/credit card and file a police report. The police say... considering all the fraud cases we have this.. people purchasing cars using others SS#'s this is such a amount that you will probably never hear back. If you add up all these charges... I beg to differ!

I got the same exact charges....1.97 on 4/10 and 72.21 on 4/20 from a company listed as "For Refunds"......wtf?

I can't believe it. I bought the CD a lil while ago too and now I have a charge for 72.21. I kept reading comments that it was a scam but i cant believe they would charge my card without authorization! I'm so mad!

Thanks for this posting. I got the same thing in my checking and has called 2 checks to come back on me. I did not order this. Nor did I give them permission to do so. I just put in the phone number in order to find out who it is, as when I called no one was there. I can not afford this as I'm out of work and staying with my elderly mother. God bless you for your post. Especially saying they are nice and will refund the money.

I got ripped off too. I have not received the CD. They said I had 10 days to cancel this and it was in the add. I did not see it in the add about being charged $72 + if I had I never would have ordered the CD. She also said my account would be charged again and I couldn't cancel till I got the CD. I called my bank reported FRAUD and canceled my charge card. How did you get them to refund your money. Thanks

Hey; I had to call a few times. I got another number off page one of this board. They told me to send the CD back and I'd get a refund. I never got the CD. She said it was mailed the 20th. They would send me another one. Well, guess what. I have canceled my card as well. She claimed it was on the site we ordered the CD. Had I known that I'd have not bought it. I think many others wouldn't either. Bad enough the economy is like it is. But, people don't need to rip others off. I don't have the number handy but look on here for another phone number and call and cancel. Make sure you get the cancelation number they give you. I did report a "Fraud" report with my bank too. Hope you get your money back. Best wishes
