Anoying number that has been calling me the past several weeks on a daily basis. Never leaves a message. I think it may be Asset Acceptance collection agency.

I receive this call on my cell phone at least twice a day, everyday.  It has been going on for the past two weeks.  Only one time did they leave a message.  The caller's accent was so thick that I could not possibly understand the message.  I suspect this is a some kind of scam.  They obtained certain information illegally; do not respond to the names or information you are familiar with because you are only giving them more material to work with.  Simply do not answer this number.  If they get nothing out of you, eventually, they will stop calling.

Receive 1-2 calls daily, no messages left. Even received a call on the day after Thanksgiving

I get several calls from this number a day. When I answer nobody says anything. I tried calling the number back and a man with a thick accent answered. I asked who was calling me and mentioned that the calls were harassing bc no one says anything when I pick up the phone. The man said he was looking for Peter. I said to update their records bc Peter is not at this number.
This is a scam. The number is connected to a collection agency but I am not sure they are operating under the actual business. DON'T give the your real name or any personal information. They try to claim you iwe them money

They call twice a day and hang up. Finally someone on the other end answered and asked to verify I was who they were talkin' to. I told them the only thing I can verify is they're an [***] and should know who they're callin. Then I put my cat on the phone.

They call from this # no less than 2 x daily. I have Cancer and can do without this constant annoyance.  I have to answer my phone for many emergency reasons daily and they are my most common call!

I don't owe anyone anything that isn't up to date or paid off.

I think I am getting the calls because my phone number was listed on my daughters info in error at the credit bureau.

I put the number in my phone as "no name" with no ringer.  I only know they've called if I happen to see the phone ring or find an unanswered call on the phone.  That way it doesn't bother me!

Called, left no msg. If they were legit, they would have.

This is Academy Service Collection Agency. They are located in Philadelphia PA & are under investigation by the PA AG's office. They are known for their criminal activities involving collections. Get in touch with the AG office in PA and file a complaint. It's the only recourse you have & it might put the scum out of buisness sooner. You cand find some of their #'s in the book but they have many others.

Just got a call. No one there when I answered, very annoying.

Finally got a call that actually had someone on the other end. They were looking for a "Dana" some one, could not understand the last name. I told them they had the wrong number, but before I could ask to have my number permanently removed from their files the guy hung up.

Called me twice. Asked to speak to me. (had correct name) then asked me if the SS# and address he had for me was correct. He then rattled off a SS# and an address. It wasn't correct of course. He was fishing for info. He told me I had outstanding debt had he was trying to collect on.. I don't have any outstanding debt. He was very bold. DON"T GIVE OUT ANY INFO. IT"S A SCAM!!!!!  They claim to be from a company called Academy Services out of Philadelphia, PA. But I got him to admit he was calling me from India.

This number is one of many used by Academy Service Collection Agency in Philly PA. They have many pending complaints against them with the PA AG's Office & now they have one more. Don't just take it!! File a complaint and do something about it! It's easy and free.

1-866-998-4558  I received a phone call today for the first time from this number asking for my husband.  I had let the answering machine pick up the call and the guy says hello hello 2 or 3 times on the machine. At first i thought it was my husband calling i had picked up the phone and it was a foreign man that i could barely understand wanted to talk to my husband.  I explained he was at work and wouldnt be off till 5p he goes i will call at 5p then.  I was like sir it takes time to drive home.  He then was wanting different numbers to call him at then wanting to know my name and my relationship to the person he was calling for!  If its a collection agency, its the first time i have had people like this act so strangly.

This company calls for debt collection for come one who used to have my phone number. I have asked them to stop calling many, many times but they won;t respect my request. What can I do to file a grievance?
