They called all of my cell phones under my name and stated they were calling from Whittman & Sax on my voicemail. I called them back and they hung up. And they did the same to my wife. They are stating they are coming to my house the next day for me to sign the claim forms.

Really now, how is it "no scam" when some bully melts down every phone which might reach a person and impersonates law enforcement or a process server to collect a "hot check" debt which quite likely doesn't exist or cannot be proven valid?

Try again, shill. No, scratch that. Don't try again.

There's plenty you can do if these thugs have the stones to operate domestically and you can find a business address. This may be the usual dirty debt collector within the U.S. or a fake collector from South Asia. Either way their empty threats of arrest, imprisonment, lawsuit filing, process service, and/or asset seizure violate federal and state laws.

You have a right to quiet phones at home and peace at your workplace, AND proof that you owe what some grade school dropout furiously insists is your debt. If there is friction with your employer, make it clear to superiors that you are being targeted by extortionists. Such a tactic is a favorite of these cowboy collectors, their goal being to create annoyance and false shame. Their disruptive calls are neither "personal" nor invited by you.

This is another thread mentioning "Whitman & Sacks", where it's suggested that the same bunch of bullies are hiding behind multiple business aliases.

I also recieved a call from that company but they actually had me served papers. I was mad at first and I thought the man who called me was making things up . I was served at my house by one of those people that act like a normal citizen, but actually are a private carrier. He caught me off guard and served me once I said my name.. He was a slick guy but his technique worked because i was served but  i blew off the court date and then i recieved something saying i had a default judgement for not showing up. I should of went and disputed the loan i took out ..So people that say its a scam are the ones that owe money just like i did. I know it was caused by me giving my checking account info to a company over the internet to borrow 300 b ucks. Avoid those pay day loans on the internet..They charge too much for the pay back. And im in check systems still because of the loan ....

thats funny because i called the number back and spoke to a very nice gentlemen. I paid off a loan my ex wife took out with out my permission at the end of our marrage. This company is a collection company. You probably owe them money just like I did. Stop fronting like its a scam when you know you took the loan out... people drive me nuts with their comments about collection agencies. I have no issues paying what I owe. And they sent me a letter verifying what i paid off. It was a cash advance loan that my ex took out over the internet. All she needed was my social security and chking acocunt number to recieve a small loan over night.. She had access to my bank account so she did it with out me even knowing ... Pay your bills bro.
