- TJ| 1 replyClaimed I owed money for something I never purchased back in 2020. Said my Mastercard was declined (I had no Mastercards at that time). Using an address I haven't lived at since 2016 and a last name that hasn't been mine since I got married in 2014. Same lady had called me 3 times, every other day. She doesn't listen, just keeps telling me this is a courtesy call to give me the opportunity to settle the debt and cancel the subscription. I already reported her to the FTC and I told her I was reporting her, but she continues to call

- AnonymousSame experience about a free trial for a beard supplement that I supposedly purchased over a year ago. Saying I owe money, threatening that I will be blacklisted both domestically and internationally, that this will affect my credit and even gave me the start of a visa card that wasn't mine. I've gotten up to 4 calls/day now in some cases. They state their website is down for repair but aren't allowed to provide the website address.

- Ryn replies to SabrinaI also just got this message and told them they could escalate the situation and take the balance to collections and when I got a bill in the mail that I would deal with it then. They said they couldn't do that. This has to be a scam.
- Linda Lou| 6 repliesYes thank you everyone for your post it has been very helpful to know I am not the only one being harassed by these people they have been calling everyday for like the last 3 weeks. I have repeatly told them that I did not receive a US mail actual paper letter to confirm any debt owed, and that it is my legal right in the USA that if you call me and say my husband is liable for a debt of $208.00 for Firm X pills male enhancement that if I request that you send me an actual paper bill via USPS that you have to legally. And I told them this, and I said furthermore I want your phone number and your actual physical address and your name, this is the information they gave me she said her name was Olivia Santiago at 877-205-7242, address 712 South River Rd, St George Utah 87942. And this Olivia also said to me that if I do not give them the new credit card number for my husband, that this situation will be escalated what does that mean sounds like a threat to me, and when she said that to me I said that is not how we do it in the USA, per my request you have to mail me the supposed unpaid bill debt via mail. And I also told her that I am going to report them. I also stated that we want the subscription stopped and she said they don't do that until the bill is paid via credit card, and I told her we absolutely do not give out credit card information on the phone.

- BigA replies to Linda Lou| 5 repliesThere is no law that says that they have to mail you a separate bill in the mail via USPS. They have many options which include email. No mail order or online webstore sends a product out without getting paid first. The address brings up a FedEX shipping center which might offer PO Boxes but I doubt it.
- Ace replies to Shirley| 1 replyI’ve been getting these exact call too. They have a wrong address and info. They keep calling several times a day. No real info, and when i press harder they hang up
- Linda Lou replies to BigA| 4 repliesActually yes it is your right, you have right to have a debt validation letter to be mailed to your house via United States Postal Service within 5 days of you requesting it to confirm debt owed. And email does not count for that to confirm that, and that is how you can tell if it is a scam or not. Because they don't want to actually mail it United States Postal Service because it is mail fraud then.
- Linda Lou replies to AceI am so sorry for you.
- BigA replies to Linda Lou| 3 repliesBefore you criticize someone you should probably take the time to first read what was posted and also take the time to read the law. You did neither. First I said bill and not dunning letter or debt validation letter. I based that on this sentence in your post
Next, from going over all the other posts this appears to be someone claiming to be the original creditor. Original creditors are not covered under the FDCPA which would be the ruling law in 45 states. Even if it were covered under the FDCPA then they are required to mail a dunning letter and not a debt validation letter postmarked within 5 days of your conversation, or an email or text message which is now allowed. Debt validation letters must be requested in writing per the FDCPA. Again though this appears to be an original creditor and until someone provides evidence otherwise I will stand by my post and I will also post the proof of what I said. In a side note, the CFPB under the last criminal in the oval office removed the burden of only calling or communicating by USPS and now allows them to text and use email. You are welcome to prove me wrong by providing reliable and verifiable citations to actual laws, agency rules/regulations, and/or actual court cases.Quote:if I request that you send me an actual paper bill via USPS that you have to legally.
