Got the same call as everyone else and a follow up fax to quickly return the call as they are finalizing an official Press Release regarding my "honoring".  Gosh, lots of us being honored by the Honorable......, what an honor! I feel honored.  Enough of the BS and back to work!

My Aunt got a call on Monday (4/2) at the day care center she owns from Linda Hall in Senator Tom Cole's office.

I've now recieved 3 calls from different reps from the BAC with the same type of info the others have mentioned. If I ever needed a good reason to keep voting Democrat this is it. By the way, you can't send an Email to Tom Cole via his .gov website unless you have a zip code from OK. Just wanted to let him know that, if he was unaware, these people are making him look like a crook. But I guess maybe he doesn't just "look" like a crook after all. I'm in Wisconsin and recently registered my LLC - I think that's the trigger for the calls.

I received a message - just about the same as the list above. The name leaving the message was Lee Morris for Tom Cole's office.

We're getting the same calls...first the award, and now dinner with the president! Funny, since we live in CA and are liberal Democrats!

Received a call from Jason Smith with Congressman Tom Cole's office stating that I was to be asked to join an advisor committee.  This is a little different than the other calls on this message board.  I took down the number and found the 800notes website.  Smith is going to send me a fax and then, I will forward it to my congressman here in Florida.

They have now changed phone numbers it seems.  I just rec'd a call at 8:24 am from Judith Benington (888)383-8065 from Congressman Tom Cole's office.  The message stated that my name had been brought to their attention in Washington, and they want me to serve on a Business Advisory Council.

Hmm...why would an Oklahoma Congressman contact me and NOT my Texas Congressman?

I received a fax from the office of Congressman Tom Cole stating the same that I was nominated for Congressional Order of Merit and a call from a guy by the name of Patrick Allen.  The call back number on the fax is 1-800-383-4164.  What a scam!

Both claimed to be from Congressman Tom Cole's office and trying to make contact in order to award a "CONGRESSIONAL ORDER OF MERIT".  They each left 888.383.4164 as the contact number.

Same deal. Tom Cole was the Congressman mentioned. He's chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, which is having a hard time raising cash. No wonder. This is a sign of their desperation.

I just incorporated, so I agree that they're trolling new corp lists assuming that new business owners are more likely to be R's.

i just got a similar message on my voicemail, from someone named betty thomas at Thomas Cole's office.  Anyone have any ideas what the scam is about?

I too have been receiving these annoying calls.  They have also been sending me unsolicited faxes on Merit awards and several other types of bogus awards.

This is an insult to my intelligence and the intelligence of many other Republicans, that we would be so stupiud as to fall for this scam.

I received the same call, but they said they were looking for Strong Democratic Leadership Award Winners. So for my strong efforts with a donation of $2500 to $5000 I will be an honored guest at the next National Democratic Convention to receive my Honored Award.
