calls almost every day, refuses to take us off of their calling list

stop all telemarketers, I have made a request on do not call list

call constantly- my husbabd is ill and i have a brokem = they don't give up and i do not pick up-

Here's a good one for all you that have been harassed by these idiots.  Answer the call but don't say anything.  More than likely someone will say...hello?  hello?    Wait to hear someone talking.  SLAM THE PHONE DOWN ... LET THEM GET AN EARFUL OF PAIN.  It works...do it everytime someone calls you with this number.  They'll get sick of it.  

And, oh, AT&T has a system called Privacy Director which controls you calls....I used to receive so so many telemarkers and various other annoying phone calls like this one we are discussing.  After a couple of weeks with Privacy Director...very quiet..they stop.

Got a call tonight from 877 213 5486, addressing me immediately as "Mr Douglas."  It was a foreign accented person making the call and when I answered that no, this wasn't Mr. Douglas, he acted completely confounded as to what to do next.  He identified his organization when I asked as the Children's Cancer something-or-other.  I then informed him that we were on the "Do Not Call" list and he apologized.  
After the call I entered the number on the computer and came up with this information.  Obviously the suit filing didn't make a big dent in their operations.  I am SOooooo tired of getting solicitation calls regardless of my do not call list status.

A fabulous discovery:  the Panasonic cordless phone/answering machine that I purchased from Costco has a "call block" feature.  When one of these unwanted callers shows up on my caller-list, I select "save" for that number and then select "call block" (instead of "phone book" for saving numbers of friends, etc.).  

The next time the blocked number calls, the phone still rings once but then the phone tells me it's blocking the call.  How sweet it sounds!  I don't know what the caller hears on the other end, but I suspect they hear that the call is blocked.  They have zero incentive to call me again.

I had no idea the phone had this function until I discovered it by accident while saving a number I wanted.  It's a technological miracle!  Costs nothing!  No monthly fees and no having to renew the block every 90 days as with Verizon.

Stop calling me.

Was told by caller they are some childrens cancer society.
Very nice and cherry voice.
Told them I already give to a childrens cancer fund.
Ask them what percentage of donations go directly to charity.
She had to get her manager to answer that.
He was polite and reported percentage going to charity is 20%, with 80% administration costs.

The number they called me on is both unlisted and on do not call list, but they seemed to have had my name.

really in this day and age why do they bother - I think eveyone knows by now not to speak or give out personal info over the phone - wish they passed a law where we could call forward these to an agency that could shut them down - shut down their phone system completely

Morning hours, noon and evening this call keeps coming.
Ususally Hang up without saying anything.

Yes I received several calls from SDDS, Inc. until finally I picked up.  She explained that they were a "professional" fundraising group for XYZ (Childrens Cancer Hospital or something like that).  I told her "I'm sorry but I am strapped and not working" but that was not good enough as they won't give up - her response was "can I ask you a question"?  I said "no, you cannot" and hung up the phone.  Bunch of GREEDY BLOOD SUCKERS!

I have the same machine and had no idea (duh) it has this feature.  :)  This number is now blocked, as several others will be in the future.   :)

Get calls from this number several times a day. They don"t leave a message.  I"m on the do not call list

I got a call from them too (877-213-5486 - Toll Free Call).  It is unreal that nothing is done about this kind of invasion of privacy.

Received a call from this number, they asked my name and immediately hung up.  Please block this action in the future

This company is a totally unprofessional, rude, and hostile company. If you try to tell them to stop calling they hang up on you.  They are ceaseless, intrusive and unstoppable.  They also use a lot of numbers, but it is always the same message: We can lower your credit card interest rates.  They are scammers and NO ONE CARES that they begin calling at 8 AM and call until after 9 PM ET... I have been on the Do Not Call Registry for many years ... and I check periodically to make sure all my phone numbers are still active (which they are). Repeated complaints to them, the FCC, and my home state's consumer fraud agency have not stopped them.  They just change their phone number and keep calling.  We have no recourse.  They need to be stopped but no one seems to be able to do so.

Received 2 calls today 9:15 am and 1:47 pm. Called the number back and received a recording saying that they are 'Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation'. I left a message requesting that they not call my number any more and filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. We'll see........

very insistent, obnoxious man wanting money--told him to stop calling and remove number from calling list.  since then, they call more frequently at all hours. guessing these are ex-cons who can't get a job elsewhere--LOSERS and no doubt impotent (hahhahahahahahah)
