Left message plugging the Republican candidate for Attorney General of Virginia.  I don't know why it's the Republicans who keep robocalling me, unless it's sheer desperation.

I have had this call 3 times today with silence when I pick it up.

calls my number at least once a day, no one answers to 'hello', then disconnects after about 10 seconds. does anyone know who they are? telemarketers? collection agency?

If it happens to you. let the candidates know via email (in writing) you don't appreciate this tactic.

I didn't answer, but it's clear from the timing and other comments that it's a political robo-call.

This is a call for voting.  They are candidates telling you to get out and vot.

Just received a call saying  (hello this is Terry Gree and i running for judge) i hung up after that, but i keep getting calls to vote for different people.

Over the past couple of weeks, we've received numerous calls from this number.  When the call is answered, it's a recorded campaign message from one of several candidates in the current Republican primary races or runoff races here in Collin County, TX (north of Dallas).  We've received messages from this phone number for various candidates, so apparently many of them are using this robo-call service to get their message out.

I don't answer it but judging from the comments it's rent a robot for political purposes.  Being on the "Do not call list" does not prevent you from getting calls from charities, political calls, business that do business with you...this can be construed to bill collectors also.  Just do like I do...leave your fax machine hooked up and check your caller id when a call comes in.  If you want to talk to them pick up, otherwise you will eventually get off of everyones list since it comes across as a fax machine.

Like the othere here this caller just calls repetedly about four or five times.  Waits a couple of days then calls again.  I never answer my phone unless I can identify who is calling in my Caller ID.  It's just a part of the "no body cares" world in which we live today. What times in which we live - so many people are out of work and have lost their homes and for the past nine years we've been killing thousands of people on the other side of the world all to benefit no one..

keep getting these calls .. if I answer noone is there .. if the machine picks up they hang up ..

i live in s.c. and am getting them also- can;t stop them as the politicians have exempted themselves from the no call list-we really need to get rid of all of them and put some hardworking people in there- no lawyers- no career pol- such as state gov. or reps. we need regular working people- but who can afford to run for office- the rich right
