Mark the caller ID as scam on your phone, that way you look at it and know not to answer.

We got the same voicemail today (on a Sunday) with the same urgent message.  We also do not have a processing terminal so knew it was fake immediately.  The message was from a female (Jen) and it was obvious she was reading from a script.  Hope no one fails for this one.

Got a call this evening stating out was imperative that I call back regarding my Merchant Account. Claimed to be "Merchant Services." Definitely a scam/spam. Came here to check if others were receiving the same calls... I hope others check here too!  

Same as all the above. Losers trying to scam. I wish there was somebody to report this to who could get after them.

Thank you all for this information. I received 3 voicemails in one week from 877-218-8883: A woman named "Den" or "Jen" claimed that it was imperative we contact them about "mandatory PCI DSS compliance" for our merchant account. It sounded fishy, she never said which actual company/bank they were calling from, and the messages were always left after normal business hours. I'm glad I looked into this because the other reports on here pretty solidly prove this is a phishing scam.

I am deleting the voicemails and ignoring any future calls from this "company."

Got this message on a Monday morning- they had called at 844pm on a SUNDAY!!! Red warning flags right there- as we;;; as I have had calls from this place before...Same ol' spiel. sounded like an automated message saying "they havae been TRYING to et a hold of us regarding this URGENT matter!!! it is IMPERATIVE we call them back regarding thie MANDATORY PCIDSS compliance regarding our CC terminal...they say they are calling from "Merchant Services" which to me is equivalent of saying "I am calling from A Law Firm"....

SCAM SCAM SCAM- hope they call again today so I can place them on an indefinate hold...

Called on a Sunday afternoon, sheesh a REAL MERCHANT service will never be open on weekends!  high probability its a SCAM!

Called our business line on Sunday, 8/23, @ 7:39 pm but did not leave a  message.  See how stupidity is now the badge of honor ???????????????????  They think we are as stupid as they are and will call back their stupid toll free # ????????????????

A message left over the weekend from a 'Jen' same 'urgent' message. The name of the company is similar to our processing company, but something told me to google the phone # sure enough I found this site, so glad I did.

8/24/14 Sunday evening, message from Merchant Services, 'Jen'. Name of company similar to the one we use, checked  phone #'s and none matched. Googled 877-218-8883 and found this site, glad I did.

Yeah, got the same number and call yesterday, Sunday at 8:48PM telling me that I needed a card machine when I don't even take credit cards. This number is a scam call so make some kind of notation.

They stole over $2000 of our money. They said we needed to upgrade our machine and asked to verify our machine ID, then within a week all of our credit card money went to a location in the Bahamas.

I have also receiverd a call from 877-218-8883 from 'Jen' stating that this is an urgent message regardign our merchant service account.  This is a scam.
I hope more people would check here before they waste any more time responding to these scams.

We got these "urgent" messages too.  They always call after hours.  We've been in a business a long time
and we've never seen so many phone scams!!!  Please do NOT give these Criminals your personal
information.  Honest companies do NOT operate this way.

said they were merchant services and our terminal needs updating.   If our terminal needs updating, then OUR merchant services company will tell us

"Urgent" message left on our voicemail after hours saying it was imperative that we call "Merchant Services"  about our credit card machine.  We don't accept credit cards.

They called me 8:36pm Sunday.....I had my iPad around so I punched in the number in Google and what you know..

I have gotten two "urgent messages" about our Merchant Services from these guys.  I did not call them back but called my own merchant services company to verify that everything was okay.  They told me it was a scam.  Everybody and their brother wants to sell you new merchant services, and most of them are really pushy.
