- Very Calm| 1 replyI rec'd a voice mail msg on my cell phone from Cross Point Assoc. saying the call was intended only for Gloria xxxxx, they referenced a file number & said to either call them or have my legal representative call. I called the 877 number & spoke to a very courteous man & told him they had called my cell phone & I was not nor do I know the person they are trying to reach. He informed me that this Gloria person had given my number as a reference number to which I replied that people make up numbers & again said that I did not know this person. He politely said that he would pass on my message. If they bother me again, I will file a complaint on-line with the FCC and FL State Attorney's Office. I do this every time I get annoying calls from these scammers....and it works.

- rwell I must have a hot number because these people call my house for alot of different people. One time I answered the call (because I was at home not at work) they asked for Brian and I asked Brian who and that no Brian lives here and he said "how many Brians do you know maam" and than he hung up on me!!! I get an average of 3 calls per day all for different people. Oh and that all these people have court cases. Go figure.
- eric| 2 repliesMy girlfriend got a call from a "process server", asking if she would be willing to make an appointment for him to serve her papers for a case he wasn't at liberty to discuss. When she asked for more information, she was given the number for Crosspoint Associates. I spent a few minutes looking at the website, and discovered something very interesting at the very bottom:
copyright (c)2010 crosspoint associates, llc & justhost.com
First, a company that claims to be a major "claims and litigation" company would not license their website from a company that has gotten substantially inferior reviews. Most companies such as this would host their own websites as a security measure.
Second and most telling, the copyright to the website is not held jointly between the web hosting service and the website owners. EVER. The domain name is bought from the service, but the website itself, including the copyright, is owned by the company doing business using that website.
In my experience, process servers don't set appointments to deliver papers. I know this because my younger brother is a professional process server, and has served thousands of legal documents. Not once has he ever made arrangements with any of the people he served to meet them, or called ahead to make sure they're home. NOT ONCE...
This is a scam, plain and simple. If you get the call, offer to meet the "server" within the hour, preferably in front of the local police department. I'd put good money against the odds of him showing...a million to one, at least.- Caller: Crosspoint Associates

- TC replies to ericI just got a call from them as well. I informed the "Process Server" that I had NO OUTSTANDING DEBT with anyone anywhere. He insisted that it was a credit card company that I owed $3,988.80. I laughed and when he asked why I said he was full of [***]. He then told me" This will be on your credit record for 14 years!"
I had to school him on credit reporting since we deal with it daily, it only stays for 7 years unless it is updated within that 7 years, even then it can only stay an additional 11 months and then the reporting agency MUST remove the time by federal law, if they fail to they can be fined $10,000.00 and have to pay the person whose social security number the report belongs to $500.00 per day every day that it remains. I then told him it wouldn't matter anyway I would have it removed without proof of the debt, and that my credit score 794 anyway so no big deal if it goes down a few points
He then tells me that he can prove it was my debt so I asked him to do so. I told him to mail me a copy of anything that had proof, a copy of my DL, a copy of my signature on a contract, a copy of my signature on a credit card agreement, a copy of my signature from a time when i used the credit card to purchase anything, He then stuttered and said its not his responsibility to prove anything and they would simply "Serve" me with papers. So I told him I would be glad to take the papers and where can i meet him. He said he was not available today but he would drop them off at my place of employment as to embarrass me... I told him to be my guest. Lets see how far he gets with the Federal Police at the gate.LMFAO The biggest joke about all of this is that I have only had one credit card in my entire life, I have only used it 3 times in the 17 years i have had it, and I still have it today, the balance is 0.00.
He didn't even know my home address either. these people are a total fly by night scam outfit. As for the website, I am a coder and my 7 year old son has created better websites than the one they have. it is crumby to say the least..
Do not give these [***] hats any money, i guarantee you you will never receive credit for it, that is if you do indeed have an ACTUAL debt LOL.... IDIOTS I Swear... - TCI assume Sam Riggs works for them ? LOL

- Linda| 2 repliesI received a phone call from a Mr Logan Woodstock claiming to be a legal courier. He said he had a legal affidavit for me to appear in court and if the "issue" wasn't resolved, he would be coming to my home to get me to sign the papers. He also gave me a case number. Strangely, he called me by a name I haven't used in 20 years. He said he was from Crosspoint Associates.

- hurlco replies to texas long hornListen up Texan short stub. What is your trip? Before you go sticking your oar into business that is none of your own you might consider brushing up with a Remedial Reading & Writing 101 class. Your poor grammar is exceeded only by a "holier than thou' attitude of judgmental piety. Go back to cow-tipping. Or if the financial plight of those being harassed "Crosspoint Associates & [***]" is such a burden, you could always step up to the plate and offer to pay some of these creditors. Barring that, go fornicate yourself beeeotch.
- hurlco replies to a real AMERICANHey unreal American fool. I too defaulted on a payday advance loan. When Crosspoint called, I was straight up but they did not reciprocate, insisting that $2,300.00 was due on a $678.00 loan. I informed Michael that I would be paying the creditor directly. He kept jabbering while I hung up on his ass. You know the rest, the calls have not stopped. Maybe there are some folks who are not deadbeats but hit a rough patch and cannot afford to repay a loan that comes as close to usury limits as possible. By the way....when you thread in CAPITAL letters you come off like a hysterical little beeotch.
- hurlco replies to ericVery intelligent post Eric.
- Laura replies to Linda| 1 replyI received a call from the process server by the name of Tomas Bryant, claimed he would be at my place of residence or business on a certain date and time and to call CrossPoint if I had any questions on what this was about. I called CrossPoint and told them I got a call from Tomas, they didn't even know who he was!!!!
- Laura replies to LauraOh yea .. they gave me a different number to call back to though. 877-313-2796. I tried to check out their website site. I talked to the man who answered the phone by the name of Gabriel and asked him some questions about the site. His response? That site is not valid anymore and should have been taken down a long time ago. Go figure!
- AnnaDifferent number - same scam. They keep calling me and saying they are going to serve me - but no one ever shows to serve me anything. It seems like they are collecting on fictitious debts to me. If anyone gets a call from these shady scammers I'd say "don't call them back". Just let them find someone else to bamboozle money out of!
Its impossible that I owe anything!
Reading these comments I can see that they find many people who owe them nothing and try to scam money out of them. They probably have an off-shore bank for all the money they collect. WATCH OUT!
Oh - and they are no longer in NY. They are in MASS now. Here's a red flag!- Caller: Crosspoint Associates
- LauraSo I have a question ... the processor is suppose to come to my place of residence or business. I call crosspoint and ask them what address they have for my business. Man doesn't know it, said that If I could verify it for him he will either send a message or email the processor to let him know. Shouldn't Crosspoint have all of my "info"?

- DeborahSame number, same words, only they have been calling my friend saying they can't get in touch with me. They say to have me or my attorney call them and give a ref. #. The only time I have ever used my friends' name as a reference was 4 years ago when trying to get a cash advance on - line. The moral of the story....don't go for those cash advances. I was haressed for months by different people until I changed my phone number. By the way...I didn't get the cash advance!!!
