I just received two different letters with a Bank of America logo, from two different addresses, with two different contact numbers ... both letters telling me the decision had been made to close my deposit account.  I have NEVER HAD a Bank of America account.

I just had my account closed by bank of America and I am still trying to get my paycheck and now my tax refund. I was told I had to wait for approval

Called Bank of America and this is not them, this is a fraudster that has done a good job of looking like Bank of America.

It’s a scam. It’s not Bank of America calling you. It seems real. But when they email you the six digit code don’t give it to them. Go online and call Bank of America fraud department so they can flag your account for fraudulent alerts.

Yes when the risk department close your acct that really means boa is done with the relationship I’m there too and I was told I can no longer be a part of them at all ever once your in that office your banned from the for a while I would consider staying a way from this bank there too stringent and unhelpful.

Same story here, i spoke with people that they have no record of and don’t know why nor can they explain who it was when I had the names and employee id numbers of the alleged employees that did not verify me, when I was attempted to be verified once I was asked a zodiac question which I refused to answer then my account was locked. I have been lied to multiple times and when I uncover a lie to them I get hung up on, and no record of that taking place .

This a scam caller! Don’t answer! Don’t give them information! They claimed to be working with Bank of America, but they weren’t. I called Bank of America while I had them on the phone.

I called the risk closure dept and was told I can no longer apply with boa any more and it’s due to a business decision by a woman named Kimberly who was her harsh and rude. Honestly I feel that this bank should lose all it’s customers and shut down for good. They close your Account and can’t provide better reason to why telling you they have a right to close accounts without telling you. They don’t help you. I’m officially done with this bank and moved to Wells Fargo. There are other banks out there besides boa they honestly don’t care about there customers when it comes into problems with there accounts, their money or any service they is needed for their customers. They will shut you down for life and tell you it’s your fault but they can’t explain why and provide horrible service. Would not recommend at all. Bye BOA.

My account were just closed I had no money on me me. My minor son account closed no warning I have multiple sclerosis and epilepsy I had to wait 15 or days

I have a letter saying the same thing, but I have no account with these people. I didn’t call the phone number on the letter but I looked up customer service and called them it took a while but I finally got a human being, she was suspicious about the letter and found no account under my name address or phone number. I think this might be some type of scam or something.

I received 2 letters stating my deposit account was being closed. This # is listed as the # to call. I never had a deposit acct with BOA as far as I can remember. Suspect fraud? Didn’t call # back.

A robocall from UN-known - some type of bank scam as I do not do business with Bank of America because no one at this business knows anything and can not or will not answer your questions  - A search shows this number to be a toll free number. They keep calling using a different new number after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.

It's ironic to see so many people posting that BofA closed their account for no reason, when I have been trying for almost 2 months to get an account closed that was opened fraudulently in my name.

Scam scam scam scam!!! Received a letter saying they are closing my acct. I called the bank directly

Caller 877-240-6886 with accent left a voicemail saying he was calling from BOA. Asked me to give them a call back to BOA at 866-376-7091 with a reference number. No other information provided. No email from BOA. Didn't call back and glad I didn't.

I cannot believe I fell for it. I received a letter in the mail saying my account had been closed. I banked with them decades ago, Maybe this was an old account? So, I call the number on the letter and they answered, finally after bypassing the computer, " Bank of America. " She asked for the complete account number, or the complete social security number to look up the account. I did not have the complete account number,, so I GAVE HER MY SS#!
She also took my phone number. Wow! I can spot a scam online and via text, but this letter looks so legit! I plan to call the actual BofA number tomorrow  to make sure I'm good with them. This letter said my account had been closed and they were notifying a couple of other businesses like Early Warning Services, LLC and Chex Systems, Inc. This is why I called them, to see what was going on with trying to tarnish my rep! That was the hook that grabbed me. When I called, the lady said that the account was opened online in July of this year. I told her that I did not open any accounts in July of this year. I asked her is there any money in the account, she said $5. So, she said she would xfer me to the fraud department, and then the perpetual hold began. 🤔 After a while, I just didn't believe the recorded voice anymore that "someone" would be right with me and hung up. Looking back at my recent call list, I was on that call a total of 12 minutes. I'm still not sure if it is a scam or if someone actually did already steal my identity.

I canceled a Zelle transfer due to being scammed about Taylor Swift tickets.  They called to confirm if the transaction was me or fraud.  Pleasant experience for me.  No issues.

Received a $1 check from Bank of America with,  "If you have questions about this matter,  you can call us at 877.240.6886, Monday through Friday 8am - 8pm eastern "
