Sent me a letter about fraud on a card that was cancelled months ago. They are a bs company that can't do anything to your account or your card. My bank isn't a credit union my bank knows nothing about these people. I don't care what you say they are not legit. If they could put a freeze on my account they would get sued for pretending to be a real company

Stacee is what's known as a shill. There's no logical reason for her to look up a known phone number but she did.
Oh, and the word is "your" not "ur". You spelled it right in your first post so what happened?

Unsolicited call to mobile around 8am (and subsequent calls ever since) | Caller ID (877) 253-8964 United States  | Calls do NOT show USA on caller ID if legit - all "normal" calls show city/state, etc. | Caller claimed to be from the fraud department of cardholder services and wanted to confirm the last 4 digits of my card (which they knew, btw), they also phished for additional information and I hung up | Phoned actual cc services and they reported unauthorized transactions were attempted throughout the last few hours | These people have obviously tapped into legit online purchases because they knew quite a lot of personal information that I didn't provide | BEWARE - This is a bad one - not just typical spam, robo-call, or telemarketer - these are criminals whoa re actively trying to wipe out your creditcard/debitcard.

First I got a text message from OceanFirst Bank Fraud Center. That's not a typo, that's what I got. I opted out of further msgs. Less than 30 mins later I get a robocall that left a VM that's over a minute long. Out of curiosity I call. I mean they already have my number, right? this is the conversation:
When the person answers I tell them they have the wrong person.
Him: "What's the name of your institution?"
Me: "If you're the fraud department, why don't you know what institution you work for?"
Him: "That's just how we do it."
    Wait, what?
Me: "How do you investigate fraud for a bank if you don't know what bank you are working for?" Same answer.
Me: "How do you conduct a fraud investigation for a financial institution you don't know the name of?"
(Now here's where they messed up)
Him "You tell me the case number, your name, your DEBIT CARD NUMBER..."
    CLICK! Total scam!

That's bs. Whoever this is called me under the name "Fraud Detection Center" and tried to run a fake AT&T charge to my credit union account. They used this number that went directly to my voicemail, wanted me to call them back and use a "case number" to unlock my debit card. I called my credit union directly and they said they flagged it as a suspected scam charge and refused to pay the charge. Thankfully, my credit union account wasn't hacked although I have to get a new debit card thanks to these a holes.

This number is owned by a LEGIT CONTRACTER used by banks/credit unions for fraud monitoring, BUT it is FREQUENTLY SPOOFED BY SCAMMERS.  If you get a call but no text or voicemail, DO NOT ANSWER or call back.  If you get a text/voicemail, WRITE DOWN THE INFO it gives, BUT DO NOT CALL BACK this number, ALWAYS CALL YOUR OWN BANK/credit union at their published number and deal directly with them, as I just did today.  All-caps words for emphasis of the minimum essential info, b/c I know lots of people frequently just skim posts instead of actually reading.  Good luck, all.

I doubt that problem will exist since most people have trouble reading one post let alone 854 of them to get you your post on page 46.  Maybe instead of worrying about all caps you should have thought about telling the truth?  It is clear from the other posts in this thread that this is not a

Since you pointed out the obvious flaw in his post, I bet if "John" returns, he'll accuse you of working for the scammers.

SCAMMER!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS NUMBER ANY INFORMATION!!! A caller named "Steve" called me and tried his best to get information that is not necessary for the bank. He started the conversation by saying someone had made two more fraudulent charges on my account. Eventually, after some time, he tries getting my password and security answers for the questions. I told him no. I wasn't going to give him any of this information and was he really from a fraudulent center. I guess he realize he wasn't going to get what he wanted, asked me if I had a condom, and told me to [***] myself! I called my bank's fraud center and yup, he's a SCAMMER!! BE CAREFUL!!
