- MartyI don't believe those saying that the call was legitimate, they called a year ago saying that my Social Security number had been illegally used and it was a crime for me to hang up, I pushed the button to talk to one of their so-called government agents, whose accent was so bad I could hardly understand him! I told him what I thought of scammers like him and told him to go to Hell! I think that those posting that this is safe are the scammer themselves and wouldn't trust them! They called again two days ago, but I had blocked their number, do not trust them. I called all of my credit cards and was told two things, 1) there were no fraudulent activities in my accounts, and 2) they said to NEVER give out any information to such a call! Call your banks to verify and if the bank is closed at that time go online, your bank most likely has a system that allows you to check your account from your home. I have also reported these scamers to the police!

- MargaretMy caller ID said “Fraud Detection” and I did not answer the phone call. However, they did leave a message on my answering machine and the robocall message said: “This is the PCSB Bank fraud detection center calling to verify recent transactions on your PCSB Bank debit card ending in *****. Due to unusual activity a temporary hold may have been placed on your card. Please have Michael *. ****** call us as soon as possible at 877-253-8964. You will be asked to enter case number ****. Again the toll free number is 877-253-8964. We are available 24 hours a day.” Michael is my husband and I went to PCSB Bank and spoke in person with the assistant manager who told me that this phone number is a scam. I reported this phone number to the Federal Trade Commission also known as the FTC.

- Sherry replies to DeanSame here just now. This is 2nd time in months. 1st time, I talked to my credit union and they said they don't use third party. I left a msg for my credit union just now. Will have to wait until Monday for call back...same as last time. This scam place calls when they know your bank/credit union is closed.
I'm thinking credit union needs to sue this scam place. - Catherine PospichalI got a call from this number saying there was suspicious activity on my debit card ending in 4 numbers from a local credit union that I do not have an account at, not my debit or my bank, big red flags right there, scam all the way, so NOT legit!!
- Caller: NEW credit union
- Call type: Unwanted
- Debbie Little replies to ces| 1 replyI do not think the above number is legit. They just called me wanting to buy my vacation plan. If they were monitoring debit cards I don't think they'd be calling me to talk about my vacation plan
- MikeHuntleton replies to Debbie LittleScammers these days do multiple types of scams from the same call centers and often spoof legitimate numbers.
Several Banks say this is a Fraud Detection Message Center number, so it is a legitimate number.

Don't trust the caller to be who they claim to be, ask a lot of questions or tell them you want to call your bank to verify. Since it is a message notification, they shouldn't be asking you anything, only informing you of a potential fraudulent transaction. - NamasteI had been by this number. The gars called me pretend he work for xfinity Comcast. I gave him my debit card and he wasn’t working for this company. He works for TELCOdiscountsCO and he’s customer support. I have been sending emails and messages to this company never get response. I am so mad. I need everyone know about what he did to me.
