how can i make them stop calling me?

I received numerous messages from Susan James.  The messages did not ask for me by name.  When I called I had the misfortune of getting BRANDON PAGE on the phone.  I asked him numerous questions, as I know I don't have any outstanding bills.  BRANDON PAGE immediately became argumentative and started mocking my questions and responses.  I asked BRANDON PAGE what his problem was, and why he was being rude.  BRANDON PAGE said (rather nastily) "I don't know what you're talking about"  I further questioned him on his rudeness, and he became belligerent.  I explained to BRANDON PAGE that while I understood that he has a crappy job where he earns peanuts, it still did not excuse his behavior.  That's when BRANDON PAGE told me he makes tons of money (outbound salespeople make roughly $11-$12/HR) and that at least he pays his bills.  At that I laughed because its not like I was trying to get out of paying a bill...the bill isn't mine to begin with!!
That's when BRANDON PAGE hung up on me.  I was actually rather relieved because I wasn't really interested in speaking with him any longer.
I called back immediately and this time I got CRYSTAL (She didn't give me her last name).  I told CRYSTAL that I was just speaking to someone who was really rude and hung up on me, and could she please help me.  CRYSTAL pretended to be shocked that someone from Mercantile could be so rude and put me on hold.  After about 15 seconds she picked back up and said, "I'm so sorry, but my computer is slow.  Can you hold for one more minute?"
The next thing I know CRYSTAL, the stupid liar that she is, transferred me back to butt pirate BRANDON PAGE (who was probably sitting in a cubicle right next to PATHOLOGICAL LIAR CRYSTAL).
I said, "Hi Brandon, I'm the woman you just hung up on.  Can you transfer me to someone else because I do not want to speak with you"
Brandon replied rather crazily, "I'm not going to let you harass anyone else here!!!  You have to speak to me!  If you have a problem then you need to call a manager tomorrow!!!"
I rather calmly responded to the evil demon with no soul named BRANDON PAGE that I did not need or want to speak to a manager, I just wanted to speak to someone that was not him.  I mean really, he's not going to let me harass anyone?  I'm the one who has been harassed, and he's the one who hung up on me after I questioned his offensive tone!  Anyway, I honestly couldn't tell you what PSYCHO BRANDON PAGE said next because he began yapping like a high pitched hyena and speaking gibberish so much so that his words no longer resembled anything in the English language.
Then THE SAD LITTLE MAN NAMED BRANDON PAGE hung up on me again.

I have no interest in contacting this company again.  As soon as I began asking legitimate questions, BRANDON PAGE became argumentative and belligerent.  Who needs it?  I'm not going to write a check or give my credit card information to a company that has never sent a letter in the mail or displayed any other type of legitimate business practices.
My time is too valuable to waste verbally sparring with the IDIOT BRANDON PAGE!

You must be Brandon Page or you work for the collection agency and you know this jerk.  I had a friend who was harassed by one of the collection services. Would not leave him alone. Called him 52 times in one night until all the minutes on his cell phone were used up.
You want to talk about being cruel? Too many questions to ask someone who has been harassing you over and over again? No that isn't being cruel That is turning the tables on someone who doesn't care about the other person on the other line. These collection agencies do not care what problems the person has had or is now having. They don't care! They don't care about what they say or how they say it. They don't care! Having a bad day and can't deal with the pressures of your job? Then Go home!! Slandering someone name? Nope not slander because it most likely isn't even his real name. These collectors harassed my 85 year old mother daily over a bill that wasn't even hers. Had her so upset she couldn't sleep worrying about the next phone call.She would tell them over and over again they had the wrong person but they kept telling her they had the right number so put that person on the phone.I had to make several phone calls to the harassers to finally get it to stop. These collectors or 99% of them are rude,crude and deserve to be treated no better than they are treating the person they are calling.

THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR NOW!!  
I have reported several times and asked that it stop and it won't. This number has identified itself as the office of Tammy Bell as well as a MEICAL COLLECTION AGENCY.  I will pursue this further

We get called repeatedly througout the year.  I read others have been bothered by this same phone call.  We never respond to a call that we don't know the origin.  However the constant calling and leaving a message to call back is annoying.  I hope someone in authority can trace them down and put a stop to the calls.  Their number is 877-254-0943

i it is a collection agency, and you owe someone an unpaid bill, they will harass you until the bill is paid.

they keep calling me,i guess i owe a bill somewhere, will call them and see whats going on.

The 877-254-0943 is the 'offices of Susan James' when they call me and 716-929-8200 is Mercantile. They say they are trying to collect a medical bill for $1200 but they 'dont know what it's for because it is too old'. I have an attorney looking into it.

Contact Collection Fighters. com. They may or may not take the case. If they do it is on a contigency. I am a customer who called them about another matter but now we are after these jerks also.

Sunday morning- trying to relax w/ family, and after 4 calls in 15 minutes, finally turned off my phone. (When I did answer the first time, nobody was there. I don't like playing games.)I'm on the "Do Not Call list"- and why my cell phone? I use it for emergencies- this number is certainly not what I consider an emergency.

Yeah I called them back from their same number. Said I dont know why someone is calling this number it is my cellphone that I dont give out to people.
He said.. what is your number.. I told him the right one. He goes. ok.. this is the last known number of a Mr Hightower that obviously isnt you I will go ahead and remove that number from our calling list. This is a "skip trace' service and we are contacting people at their last known numbers. So. Yeah we will see if I get anymore calls.

They are burming up my minites so it cost me money. and if you cost me money I will have them taken out as in killed They need to know that! If they think it is a joke let them call again. This is real life not a [***] joke. If they want to see what will happen let them call again.

I got a call from a woman who left me a message while I was at work. I called back and spoke to her and figured out that it was a bill that was actually never paid- its legit. BUT I am scared to give my information away.
What if when I give it they don't pay it and use it for something else? Has anyone else had a legit bill and paid them without a problem?
I would like to get this out of the way, but don't want to get effed by a shotty collections agency.
