Contact Name: Ask for their marketing manager
First, any time you get a junk fax from these people file a complaint withthe BBB of Oralando under Summer Bay and then tell your story aboutthe junk faxes in the description. Coral Bay and the junk faxes your are receiving are gerilla marketing tactics by summer bay.
Also, every time you get a fax from Coral Bay, call Summer Bay and complain.
If the faxes do not stop after that, call RCI. They are Summer Bay's main cash cow and don't like hearing about this.
You can reach RCI at 407-248-0240 and ask for their Summer Bay representative. Complain to them.
It's amazing what these time shares will do in an effort to be deceptive.- Caller: Marketing Company
- Sue M.Our small business, located in Northern California, is receiving unsolicited faxes from this company. I called the 352/242-1100 number to talk directly with the marketing manager. I was unable to locate a listing for them in the Central Florida Better Business Bureau.
I've also called the toll free response line (877-287-6950) and the operators are just plain nasty.
The company doesn't list a fax number of their own. The operators claim they don't have one; then hang up.
Anyone have any other information that might be useful in stopping their fax barrage?
Sue M. - junk fax recipientI have been getting these faxes for years. I think that if enough people complain to the FCC there MIGHT be an effect. Junk faxes ARE illegal...

- frustratedI now call and tell them that for every junk fax I get, I will call 10 times and this is number __. Can you imagine if everyone did that?
Reporting every fax to the FCC is very important, too, though I wonder how effective it will be. Most federal agencies are understaffed...
https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do - Jeanette replies to Valerie| 2 repliesWe receive these as well, and they come directly to a Correction Facility, I figured they were not fake since they are sending it to this work area.
- Kelly Aguirre replies to North Carolina| 4 repliesI do not know who "North Carolina" is but I would like your contact info. I am the assistant to the Director in charge at Summer Bay Resorts and have never heard of any company called "Coral Bay Travel" or "Boca Beach Travel".
We have no net rate agreements or affiliation with either of these companies you have listed. Your posting on this "blog" is the first I have heard of such companies or these activities. I am very distressed at the False accusations you have carelessly posted to the general public relative to our Company and request you assist in providing any and all information you have relative to such named companies as we need to immediately issue a Demand to "Cease and Desist" the unauthorized use of our brand name if such activity is indeed being perpetuated.
Summer Bay does NOT "...run these companies or websites..." as you deceptively claim. This is an obvious attempt to fortuitously interfere with and defame our fine resort. Please take action immediately to retract your false statements and please forward copy of any facsimile, websites or other advertisements you have with Summer Bay's name to my e-mail: kaguirre@summerbayresort.com or my fax (352)-241-6735.
We at Summer Bay take pride in our fine Resort product and services and will not tolerate such continued attempts by unscrupulous competitors or onlookers to defame our good name. - StephWe get these faxes every day. I went to FCC and got this info. I didn't know we could do anything about it... If we all complain maybe we can stop it.
It is unlawful to fax an advertisement to any recipient - residential or business - unless the recipient has given the sender permission to fax or has an established business relationship with the sender. Under this law, you have an “established business relationship” with the fax sender if you have made an inquiry, application, purchase, or some other transaction with that individual or business. A fax advertisement sent without an established business relationship or prior express permission is unlawful even if it contains an “opt-out notice.” Non-advertising faxes, however, are permitted.
An advertisement is “any material which advertises the commercial availability or quality of any property, goods, or services.” Materials that appear to be surveys or informational “newsletters” actually may be advertisements. For instance, a “survey” is actually an advertisement if it costs money to participate or if the survey promotes property, goods, or services in addition to asking questions.
Likewise, so-called newsletters often are advertisements. Fax advertisements must contain on the first page of the advertisement a clear and conspicuous opt-out notice that explains how to avoid receiving future faxes. Recipients must be provided a cost-free way to opt-out of receiving future fax advertisements (by phone, Internet website, or e-mail) and the sender must honor such opt-out requests within no more than 30 days.
The restrictions on fax advertisements apply regardless of whether the recipient’s fax number is on the National Do-Not-Call Registry. The National Do-Not-Call Registry, which provides consumers an opportunity to opt-out of most telemarketing calls to their homes, applies only to telephone solicitations – in other words, advertising telephone calls – not faxes. By contrast, the FCC’s fax rules prohibit fax advertisements unless an individual or business chooses to opt-in to receiving them by maintaining a business relationship with the sender or giving prior express permission.
All faxes – including those that are not advertisements – must include the following information on either the first page of the fax transmission or in a margin at the top or bottom of every page of the transmission: the date and time the fax was sent, the name of the sender, and the telephone number of the sender or the sending machine.

- Concerned| 1 replyI just called 1-877-287-6950 and got to a sales representative named Randi that said I would be touring Summer Bay in exchange for the travel deal. Then I read what I saw on this website to her from Summer Bay and she asked me what my problem was and hung her phone up.
- Concerned replies to Kelly AguirreI just called after receiving a fax from this junk fax company.
I called 1-877-287-6950
I pretended I was interested and asked for a sales rep for the 99pp corporate package. I was connected to RANDI.
I let RANDI talk, then asked if this had to do with time shares. She said yes, in exchange for the package I would tour Summer Bay and that I would be given 2 $150 Disney tickets at the end of the tour.
Then I read her the above response and she hung up, but not before saying "Whats your effin problem" - Small Business replies to ConcernedReceived a fax this morning.
Called and followed what it seems others have done.
Got a sales representative named JENNIFER who said that in exchange for the package I would tour SummerBay. She stated Coral Bay has been in business since 1985 and has worked with Summer Bay since 1991. This was at 11:50 am Est.
I dunno. Sounds fishy. She was very belligerent. Said they were better business bureau backed, when I checked the better business bureau of Orlando website while she was on the phone and said they were not listed, she asid I don't know what to tell you. - *lol*Forget Summer Bay...I saiy called Coral Bay or whoever they are at that 877 number and pretend to be a vacation sales office like them every time you get one. Call 1-877-287-6950 and ask for a sales rep on the "99 pp package you saw on your fax" if they ask what company you are, say Walking Sticks and then try to sell their sales rep on a vacation package. That outta get Coral bay or whoever they are at 1-877-287-6950
- Deidra replies to Jeanette| 1 replyWe receive these faxes as well and they come to an attorney's office. These are bogus and should not be allowed to send these to a company.
- Seems like they are faxing anyoneHi
i read this post and called the 1-877-287-6950 number.
i spoke to Amanda and she said they were Coral Bay Travel, and in exachange for the "great deal" I would be touring "our fine Summer Bay resort for 90 min, and would get a complimentary brakfast, as well as theme park tickets at the end of the tour"
i called back again because Amanda hanged up on me when I asked her for a website. I got Debbie, who is a manager (so she says) and she was very polite and said that "yes indeed you would be touring one of our resorts called Summer Bay" and I hung up.
This is so weird. How does this Coral Bay do this.
I suggest if Summer Bay has no marketing affiliation with them at all, to call Coral Bay and pretend like the other people have and you'll get the same information. - mikie| 1 replyvery rude ans abusive, wiould not give address tio serve leagal papers

I asked him what the disney corporate number was he put me on hold and said his manager had left for the day. I said thats ok I'll call disney right now and put you on a 3 way and he said he was not authorized to do that. He said they had been in business for 4 years and I should trust them otherwise they would not be in business and that they even have a recorded phone verification process to ensure my "safety" when purchasing w my credit card over the phone
