I have placed my number on the NOCALL list and they don't adhere to the laws. This fax was sent freely to all employee's. I have been retired for over 10 years and have never for this company

- Tamara JenkinsHello
I received a fax this morning and was connected to a sales representative at 1-877-287-6950. This person was named Diane and identified herself as working with Coral Bay Travel. She stated that they had been in business for 15 yrs, were better business bureau backed and that in exchange for the great deal on this package I would have to have breakfast at and tour Summer Bay Resort for 90 min and that at the end of that presentation I would get my theme park tickets.
This CORAL BAY TRAVEL seems to be scammers from what everyone else has posted and my experience. Report them to the better business bureau.- Caller: Coral Bay Travel

- Tamara Jenkins replies to RobertCall them at that number 1-877-287-6950 and ask for a sales representative and let them do their presentation. Then report t on here and report them to the better business bureau.
- Melissa| 2 repliesMy friend just called me and told me she got this package and ordered 2 more just in case my husband and I wanted to go. She said they sounded ligit and that she thought it might be a scam, so she asked how she knew how it was the truth or not. He told her that they sell them to corporate businesses and they sell so many so that is why they can give them away for $99 pp.
So, I called to get some info myself. I spoke to a lady at first and she was very hesitant and impatient with me. I kept asking questions and the more I asked, the more aggitated she got. She stated she only had 2 packages left to be sold. I asked her if there was a tour that I had to do in order to get this deal I had to tour a resort for 90 minutes.
The second time I called I spoke to a Lewis and he said that all hotel accomodations were included and I had a year to use the package, but to notify them within 45 days.
The 3rd time I called I spoke to a Cari Jackson and she said I had 2 years to use the package and notify them within 45 days and that she had several packages left. She said I would have to pay an additional $189.00 each person if I chose to go on the cruise.
I'm so confused by the reps. One person says 1 year, the next says 2. When I looked up Coral Bay online, it gives me nothing but this blog. If they are back by the BBB in FL, shouldn't there be a website?? I def need to call my friend and make her aware of this. She has given her credit card info, so I hope it's not too late! After reading these blogs, I won't be purchasing this package.- Call type: Fax
- Irritated replies to MelissaYou need to have her call an cancel the transaction.
It's a scam and a ploy to tour time shares which they falsely say they represent. They actually do no represent Summer Bay or any of the places they say they work with. They are not Better Business Bureau backed, and have no traceble information.
Complete Scammers - TanyaCalled and spoke with Joanne. She said when they sent these out this morning they had 50 left. She put me on hold and checked. She came back and said they had 3 packages left. She gave me this whole long drawn out speal about 2 years to use the package, 45 day notice. She also said I would be touring Summer Bay or Calypso Cay in exchange for the great deal and that I would receive my theme park tickets at the end of my tour. She said she had toured Summer Bay herself and that it was a gorgeous resort.
I said while I have you on the phone, and before I buy let me just verify some of your company information. I read to her what I saw on this website and she was completely silent and said thatthey had been in business 7 years and have associations with Ramada and Holiday Inn.
I told her I was going to report this to the BBB and to both resorts.- Caller: Coral Bay Travel
- YasmineSpoke with Debbie when I got this fax today.
She stated we would be touring one of the resorts they contract with. When I asked her if the above resorts were part of that she said yes but said she could not confirm anything until after I bought. I then asked for a manager who was just as belligerent and snotty. I said, but I want to spend my money I just need to know all the details of what I would be obligated to. She said I can't tell you that. Then I asked if they were better business bureau backed and she said "We don't need to be, we have eneough credit in the business and have been in business since 1985" I said well surely I should be able to know who I am buying from I specifically asked her if they had a website she said no, only for members.
Then I googled their phone number and came up with this website while she was on the phone, and told her to google her phone number and good luck.
What scammers ----- BUYER RAN FAR AND FAST THE MIN YOU GET THESE FAXES

- Jay South replies to DeidraI get these useless faxes from these people as well. What I've done is I call the number and waste a whole lot of the persons' time who gives me the speal. I ask for prices and than tell them I don't have a credit card to pay with and will they take a money order or bank check. Than I argue with them as to why they won't take a money order or bank check. Than the reservationist gives me the supervisor. Than I tell the supervisor he will get calls like this frequently until they remove my fax number. The supervisors name is Peyton. That's what he saids. He said he'll remove it. We'll see!
- piper181| 7 repliesLike all of you, I have been getting these faxes. Instead of spinning your wheels by engaging these crooks, SAVE your faxes! These are evidence and are a violation of 47 USC sec 227. Rather than go into all the legal jargon, each FAX carries an initial penalty of $1,000.00 with the potential of $3,000.00 per fax if a judge awards treble damages for the "willful and knowing" violation. The potential lawsuit is substantial given that it could qualify as a class action. I have prosecuted these cases on my own here in California against CA defendants and won each.
I have a friend in FL who is a lawyer and might be willing to take these cases on a contingency. If interested, just reply.- Caller: Coral Bay Travel and discountmyvacation.

- Ocean61 replies to piper181| 1 replyPiper181, If a bunch of folks get together, how about Civil RICO? 18 USC 1964(c) being that it's wire fraud. What would the cost be for them to answer way out west where you are at?
- Jason H. replies to MelissaYeah, it's different "packages" from different representatives, cause all they want is your credit card #.
Period.
They'll "take" it from there. - california replies to piper181| 2 repliesI will keep my faxes then piper181. I will make a file for these junk fax ads. Sounds like someone could make a good living going after these folks. I am just tired of them wasting my printer ink. It is not cheap! I could replace a lot of ink from a settlement from a class action. Keep us informed piper181:)

- piper181 replies to Ocean61The RICO statutes, unfortunately, do not apply to this. Congress was very specific in its remedy provided to citizens who are afflicted with this scourge.
I currently have in my possession seven (7) faxes from these individuals which, assuming the Court would find in our favor and levy the maximum penalty would be $21K for my seven faxes ($3K/fax including willful and knowing violation). Should others have similar or greater numbers of faxes, the potential settlement would be larger. Of course, I continue to receive these pieces of garbage. I will contact my friend and gauge his interest. - piper181 replies to california| 1 replyI will keep you informed. I will contact my friend and let you know. If there is a case filed, the discovery & subpoena process will root out the true identity of these thieves.
- RickI too have successfully sued these companies over the past four years. My recent one was against a mortgage company in Southern California. The judge said he was tired of the junk faxes also and awarded me $3,000 plus my $80 costs of filing and service.
In addition to and not instead of, you can file a complaint with the FCC and the FTC. Both have web sites that contain easy links for filing complaints.
The Better Business Bureau does not have any legal teeth.
The worse thing you can do is to call the junk fax number that is provided for removal of your number from their data base. Instead you are simply confirming that the number is a valid fax number.
