Received a txt message claiming they are Chase Bank.

Me too. Just got it a few minutes ago. Weird thing is I don't have a Chase anything.

I received the same message a few moments ago, and I too have no Chase accounts.

Just called the number, it is fraudulent, don't give them your number. When you call it says "You're account is restricted please enter your account number and press the # key" When you put in the 14 digit  number it says unable to activate the account, please call a customer representative 24/7and then it hangs up, didn't even give another number to call.

Also called Chase to report the phone number. Hopefully they'll be about to take down the perpetrator quickly.

I got the same text.  I wonder where they are getting our cell phone numbers from.

Just  got a txt from the same number. Claiming to be T-mobile with an unactivated account.

Me 2 I called Chase (the main number), B4 I call this # they said, they it is fraudulent.

Chase doesn't text.  They would call you and ask you to call them back at the number listed in the phone directory, or email you to say there is a message waiting in your SECURE mail box.

Just had the same (Chase) message.  I did enter the card info, but when I wasn't transferred to a live person, I was suspicious.  I called the number on the back of my card and, sure enough, it was NOT Chase.  Card is canceled, no odd charges, and they are issuing me a new one.

I recieved a text message this morning from them and I made the mistake of actually going through with it and giving them my card number and pin... it says your card is now reactivated and hangs up. I called chase and they said they have not made contact with me since february and there is no recent hold on my account. So they canceled my card and changed my pin... put a hold on my account through that card and hopefully I am safe... DONT CALL THEM!!!!!

Do not give them your card info!!!!!   The number is not a CHASE number.    It's fraud!!!!

I just received a text message from them saying that they are chaseonline and i need to call this number to get my card reactivated. So I called the number and a recorded message said to give them my card number and expiration and pin!!! So (stupid me) I did but then I called CHASE # on the back of my card and they said 877-293-5089 is not one of their number.

So I had to tell CHASE to close my card and issue a new one. Lesson learned.

Received phishing text message from 3830 (I am on T-mobile):
"SMS@chaseonline.chase.com / Message from JP Morgan Chase. Not a sales message. Please call
1.877.293.5089 immediately about recent activity on your account. Tha"
I called the 877 number and it said my account was restricted & to unrestrict it please type in your account number.  I immediately hung up & called Chase to inquire about my accounts. They had no restriction or hold on any of my accounts. I read the info for them to investigate.

I do not have a Chase bank account yet my imaginary account is supposedly restricted. When asked to enter my card (which I couldn't) I pushed zero (as with real calls it will direct you to customer service) and then said, "Customer service" as that option usually works too. Nope. They just told me to contact a service representative but didn't provide a phone number.

It seems that they have changed numbers as a similar scam has also been reported using a different phone number.

Got a text this morning.  Supposedly from Chase about recent activity on my account.  I have three accounts with them that I checked.  No questionable activity.  So called Chase and they verified that it is fishing, and that they are receiving many phone calls about that number.  Since I didn't phone the number, no problem, but they wanted me to report the text message at abuse@chase.com.

Just got a text from "Chase bank" asking me to call me at this number about a recent activity. This is definitely a scam. Chase would CALL me, not TEXT me if something was wrong with my account. Texting is way too unprofessional, especially when they don't even use complete sentences.

I received a text from chase. When I called it wanted me to enter my card number. I hung up.

Did not call the number.  Decided to research as it seemed "phishy".

I too was contacted with a message that there was a restiction on my account. I called & hung up when they asked for my account number. I then called Chase, which as many have stated above, that they would never text. They would either call or send a secure message through the online chase message center.
I have t-mobile as well.
