I've been getting calls from this "collection agency" for months asking about an old roommate I had. Apparently my roommate used my info as a cosigner and they're coming after me for his debt. Anytime I try to get real info about it they just give me payment options. The guys name is Briani and his partner is Moses. Complete jokes.

I received a voice mail from some bimbo stating her offices are issuing an AFFIDAVIT (oh oh ) for someone I never heard of and they need a call back for an official statement to resolve the issue. They are attempting to sound like a legitimate govt. agency.  I called them to let them know they had reached a wrong number and they immediately tried to get my personal info so they could verify my "story". When I refused they threatened to keep calling until they got the info they need.
These clowns are really poor BSs and obviously working for a fly by night collection agency is the best they can do. If you receive a call and have the time, report them for their fraudulent behavior.

I also got the same calls today, from Stephanie. She also phoned my mother's house. My father just passed away 2 weeks ago from lung cancer and I was REALLY upset that this joke of an "agnecy" called my mom and got her all worked up. I have turned this company in to the BBB and Fed Trade Commission after receiving a similar call over the summer.

I just got a call from these people from number 8773382151 crystal jazinski, saying that they would like to discuss a case bout a bounced check before filing charges on me. Who are these people. Dint have a bounced check that I know of. We hired attorneys to help clean up our credit  and collectors are coming out from the 1990"s and early 2000. Anyone had them call and say the same thing?

    Hey right
Received a phone call from these idots. First, don't play the collectors' game with a former collector. I read all of the comments listed below and everyone is right. The phone numbers that they call from are as follows: 602-490-0533, & 410-696-7202.

The woman that calls leaves very detailed "debt informed" on my digital answering machine. Debt Collectors are not allowed to do that, especially if they don't know if that is your phone number or not. She issues threats of pressing charges against me blah blah blah. In one message (as I keep all of them) I got her laughing and joking about how "she is going to get me one way or another" apparently not realizing that she is still connected to my answering machine.

Whether or not you have a debt and these idiots are trying to collect from you, they have to send you written notification within 5 days of contacting you regardless of what type of debt it is. I have never received any type of letter from Federal Recovery Agency, or Federal Agency. As the woman uses different company names each time she calls, just as the phone number rotates between states.

If you owe a debt, just word of advice and you get some idiot like these company calling you. Before you give them money, go back to the original place where you owe the money to vertify who actually owes the debt. And in most cases even if the original debtor sent the debt out for collections, they will cancel it and bring the debt back in house as they get more money that way.

So to Federal Recovery/Federal Agency, I'm waiting for ya to come to my front door with my bunny slippers on. I ain't no fool, and when I get enough of your messages of what you are not suppose to say, I'll be the one that you need to look out for for violating my rights that are covered under the Fair Debt Collection Act.

    Hey Right replies to rdrd
To RDRD, although you can not have calls at work they may still do it. To stop it, you need to send them written proof that you forbid them per your rights as stated in the Fair Debt Collection Act to contact you at work. Furthermore, if they continue to contact you at work they will have violated your rights which gives you the right to go after them as mentioned in the Fair Debt Collection Act.

If you have their address (providing that they sent you some type of letter, please post it here).  You will need to send them the letter by certified mail so that you can get a receipt back on who signed for it, as that is a way to protect you as per the FDCA.

I have yet to receive a letter from them, and will not call them back because any information they get, they will use that against you and once they know how to reach you, they will call over and over again, as much as more than 1 time a day which is also a violation covered under the FDCA.

    Hey Right replies to Cmarie
    To Cmarie:

Just an FYI, you need to have your credit report ran from all three agencies. You are allowed one from each company for free each year.

Although collectors are not suppose to, there has been a HUGE increase in collectors performing REAGING of old debts.

For example, I used to be a collector which is how I know this information, and in my case there was an account that I had one more payment that I had to made on it. Somehow this other collection agency managed to "BUY THE ACCOUNT" and therefore attempt to collect on it. After speaking with my current agency that I was making payments to, and the original debtor that sold the account they vertifiy that this second collection agency did NOT have the right to collect on it, and that I was already in a written payment agreement with who owned it.

Somehow these collection agencies are purchasing older debt, and when they do it, although it may be past the legal 7 years that they can collect on it, by purchasing the debt it reages it to where they can collect on it even though it is illegal.

Anyone trying to collect on a debt has to provide you with written notice in 5 days from contact you about the debt. Also contact the credit burearus after you run it, and if this new place is on your credit report DISPUTE it immediately that #1 it was paid in full on....blah blah, and second if it was not paid in full that they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act and that the statues of limitations has passed on it.

Never send money to anyone unless you are sure you owe the debt. And that you contact the original debtor to see where they sent it for collections before you send money.

    Re:Sick and tired
Don't let them get to you...in a firm voice tell them that do not call back.  I will take any and all  legal action as required and as the law allows.  Several years ago we had to sue a debt collector  that would not stop the harassing phone calls over a bill that belonged to one of our children. 18 months and lots of legwork later we were several thousand $$ richer and the particular caller was out of a job.Just record everything and keep them talking when you are on the line, they always want to tell you about what they will do if you don't pay up.  They always make illegal threats and incriminate themselves.  But whatever you do, even if you think the debt might be correct, do not pay a dime to those agencies.  Always work with the original company if possible.  Good luck!

Received a call today from a senior filing director of Federal Recovery Office, processing division.  He was looking for our daughter and claims he was retained to review a case linking to a check violation.  She needed to call this number asap to keep "her rights for voluntary restitution" or her rights would be forfeited.  Can an agency tell a third party all this information?  I believe this agency is using fraudulant behavior or doesn't even exist.  Who do we report these people to?   Caller id showed 301-830-6081 in Silver Spring, MD
