Well turns out I too am in violation for a payday loan from years ago. I am glad to know that I was correct in telling these people to send me something in writing and I would consider payment.

To those of you who claim to be "Federal Recovery" with the number of 301-830-6081 - YOU ARE BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE PAL - YOU ARE A FRAUD AND SCAM - YOU GIVE OUT FALSE INFORMATION IN ORDER TO COMMIT IDENTITY THEFT. TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CALLED AND THREATENED.  THAT IS A CLASS A1 MISDEMEANOR IN SOME STATES; A CRIMINAL ACT.  IN MOST STATES IF SOMEONE GIVES YOU MONEY THINKING THEY OWE YOU SOMETHING AND THEY DO NOT, IT IS A CERTAIN CLASS FELONY OBTAINING MONIES BY FALSE PRETENSES AND EMBEZZLEMENT WHICH COULD GET YOU UP TO 25 YEARS IN A FEDERAL PRISON.  ON BEHALF OF ALL WHO HAVE MADE COMPLAINTS AGAINST YOU, YOU ARE HEREBY DIRECTED TO CEASE AND DESIST ANY AND ALL TELEPHONE, TELEFAX, WRITTEN OR OTHERWISE COMMUNICATION IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND TO COMMIT IDENTITY THEFT.  YOU WILL BE PUNISHED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC WILL SEE TO IT.  STOP NOW OR FACE A JUDGE.  SICK OF YOUR CALLS

I received a phone call from them today.  They are trying to use the name close to Stafford Federal Loans.They will not give up their legal mailing address and was saying all of these things.  When I told them that I needed their legal address to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the AG office in TX as well as the AG office for their state, they hung up.  I called back 3x times and they kept hanign up the phone or me or put me on mute.  Since I know my legal rights as a comsumer and since they have violated about 6 right off the batt with their threats, I am having a filed day with these nuts.  
Please do not send them any money via western union or any other wire transfer service.  Don't give out your banking or credit card information to them and contact your bank.  I have already changed bank account numbers and I have notification on my accounts for any fraud activity

Message on answering machine from "Ray" at the "Federal Recovery Office" regarding a bad check written by someone we never heard of. Guess I will ignore it as it has nothing to do with us.

I received a call from a guy named Ray this evening. He knew my full name, current address, social security #, & previous employer. He claimed I took out a payday loan with a company by the name of CASHnet USA online. But that was a total lie. I called my mom worrying because he said I was going to get reported for writing bad checks on a closed account & that he was with the federal govt. Which was also a lie. My mom called back & he said he didn't say he was with the govt & that he was with a co. by the name of The Federal Recovery & gave me this # 1877 3382152 ext 307. I called the # back that showed up on the caller id & he answered it hello, kind of sounded like a cell phone. I think it was a scam & am not giving my checking info out. BEWARE & I hope this helps.

I got a call on my voice mail for a person with my last name but not my first name claiming that said person had a claim against her outside Stark county and unless they heard back, she would be considered as having purposely done something fraudulent. The caller was Raymond Owens claiming to be from the Federal Recovery Division.

Property liability/ damage suit, female voice, a Mr. Quinton and a Mrs. Santiago

This gal who talked so fast that I could not understand the name she left on my message maching.  The number to call back was 877-338-2151 ext 304.  Said she was from Federal something or other and that I was a defendant in litigation in De Kalb county, and I needed to call her back to get it straightened out.   I have nothing to do with or in De Kalb county, but my dead beat former son-in law lives in DeKalb county, and he has collectors chasing him all the time.  I won't even bother to return calls to these collectors and until they serve me properly or contact me in writing.  If they contact me in writing, I have a form letter I send them with my dead beat former son-in law' information, including his parents phone number as well as cousing and uncles.

The guy Logan calls and says he is in the process of filing charges against my ex inlaw, then I pick up the phone (off the voicemail as it was going) and he proceeds to tell me he could go to jail, so I told him to call back and leave me all the info.  I immediatly got online and looked up the company, and found this.  If they thought they could get info by trying to scare me, get real!  Get a new scam.

Logan had been calling me also. Saying i'm going to jail and charges are being filed. They call like 4 times a day leaving nasty messages. what a crock. If your going to file charges then do it.

yes same thing but called my very very distant sister in law that we dont even talk to who lives 4 hrs away saying it about me and here to find out theyve been calling my other brother in law and sister in law they find it to be a scam thats why they never said anything i've talked with them asked for proof and they've refused to send anything or give me they're address or anything...they wont stop calling them what do i do??? also have called from 314-227-0720

THEY CALL ME 2 A GUY NAME JEFF, HE SAID THAT HE HAD ALL MY INFO AND TREATHEN ME. I JUST TOLD HIM ONCE,IF HE CAME TO MY HOUSE HE BETTER COME WITH A PISTOL BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY CHANCE HE HAS, BECAUSE IF HE COMES HERE I SHOOT THAT [***] 100 TIMES UNTIL I THINK ITS OVER. SO I TOLD THAT [***] TO BRING HIS BODY BAG WITH HIM. I TOLD HIM TO CALL THE POLICE ABOUT MY PROPOSITION!!

They are a company with a bad attitude and high and  mighty attitude until they get what they are paid to do. They have in the past threaten to  arrest my dad and put bad vibes between me and my father. They tolfd my dad they would arrest him.
i am looking into what they can say  over the telephone. Threating my father to the point he won t talk to me is not cool.

I just got called on my work phone for something they are claiming my now fiance' did back in 2005, before I even knew him. They had all of my information and kept bringing up the fact that my fiance had been arrested back when he was 19, he is 29 now, like that was a justification of them calling me. They then told me that they are putting in a charge to MY bank account to clear HIS debt, when I told them that the money was not in the account and it would not clear they said 'oh thats ok we will just put a hold on the funds until tomorrow, unless you don't call us'. I have called my bank and put them on notice that this might try to come through. They told me that it was also for Cashnet USA, we have never heard of this company.
