- sarah| 1 replyI love all these fye workers defending themselves. Yeah, cause I'm totally so stupid that I imagined cancelling something multiple times and it keeps coming out of my account. Go to school or get a real life or something. Either the fye workers are in on it or they only hire people too stupid to know 2+2=4. I singed up for this [***], as I worked in retail and offered a similar thing, and cancelled three weeks later. Yeah it was annoying but it got done. The store employee said it was $25 a year if I didn't cancel, NOT $11.99 A MONTH. Anyway I cancelled it in may and now come august get a charge in my account. Oh hell no. I contested that immediately. I called and recancelled the account and Hung up cause the guy didn't speak a damn word of English. The next day I called the fye and requested a copy of everything that I signed which is supposedly being mailed to me since I don't live in fresno anymore. I also asked for her name and the employee who's signed me up so that when I get this figured out I can file identity theft, computer fraud, and burglary charges, all felonies :) I called again today and demanded a refund, which was easy enough. I'll see if I really get it though. I love how they try and rationalize it by saying that there are different cards with different charges, yet their website only mentions one! I am also calling the better business bureau and the federal trade comission and when I get my "signed copies" I will look into pressing charges since I've already got a lawyer. Good luck fye, you [***] with the wrong person!!

- SarahPlease everyone, raise hell with this one. I have called the store manager and have spoken to two people in corporate. I have demanded, and after a lot of [***], finally gotten my signed copies. First of all, the first problem is that they tell you that it is $25 a year, even their WEBSITE it says $25 a year, but they will charge you $11.99 a month. I found out that the only way you agree to it is this: you know how when you use your credit card and you have to sign a slip? The agreement for the $11.99 charge is on THAT.
Second, even if you cancel it they will continue to charge you. You have to cancel over and over again.
FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!! THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THIS WILL STOP!!! PLEASE DO THIS ASAP!! What they are doing is illegal. It is deceptive business practices and fraud. Please do this for yourself and others.- Caller: FYE
- KellyI never received a phone call but just noticed FYE took money out of my account this month. I haven't shopped there since Chirstmas of last year when I was getting a gift for my sister. Seriously? I didn't know other people were having problems too. What do we have to do to stop this crap?
- Mom of former FYE employeeMy daughter was fired from FYE yesterday because she wasn't hitting her quotas for these gimmicks. She would not lie to the customers and told them upfront what would happen. Of course, once someone is honest with a customer they see this is a SCAM and they don't do it. This in turn makes the sales person look bad for not meeting quota. My daughter may no longer be employed by FYE, but she still has her integrity! She was even told that her customer service skills were the best in their store, but he had to let her go only because she didn't get her "driver" quotas. They call these SCAMS "drivers"!!!
- IzzaThe magic word is 'supervisor'.
I called the number, and the lady I talked to kept trying to get me to keep it, even though I was insisting I get my money back, so finally I asked to speak to a supervisor who right away said she could refund the past four months, but I would have to submit a request in writing for anything before that. If anyone hates doing this sort of thing over the phone, the mailing address is:

It's so ridiculous how much it's obviously a scam, I mean you would have to spend $120 a month to break even, and no one would knowingly sign up for that. I had only just moved to the States when I got it too, and I had no idea it was even possible for them to keep your debit card information like that.- Caller: FYE
- Angel66I just cancelled whatever that damn 11.99 charge was. Similar to what others were going through, the lady on the phone tried to offer me other random memberships. After declining all of them, she cancelled my membership, gave me the confirmation and said I wouldn't see the charge anymore. Thank you Sarah whoever you are. And store cashier, plague on your house for signing me up in the first place!

- PatriciaI had my account charged too! I expected an email or a phone call when the month trial was up, but they just charged me without any information. I dont even remember how long ago I signed up but I'm furious about this. Now I have to call and cancel before they steal any more of my money
- Eagle-eye replies to ElmThey are still doing it - I got notified by my credit card company that an online charge for $11.99 had been made to my husband's card in the middle of the school day (he's a high school teacher and would have been in class when the charge was made, not to mention that he doesn't have internet access from the school...). When I called the number listed on the charge posting (877-351-2131), they wanted a whole bunch of personal information to 'verify the account'. I just hung up and called the credit card company. They are reissuing the card with a new number and removing the charge.
- Eagle-eye replies to HoneybeeWe never did any business with them at all - never even heard of them, and they started charging us.
- Garrett| 1 replyYep, this happened to me today. I did some Christmas shopping at FYE in December and today I was charged 11.99 from FYE BSP VIP ALBANY NY. I remember signing up for the membership because I was offered 8 bucks off the purchase---- but it was to be -automatically- disabled if I didn't call to reinstate the membership. When I called the number on my receipt to cancel my membership they said they would send me a $20 gift card. I said no, cancel my membership and refund my money. He then offered me $40 in rebates and coupons----- they play the card "since you already have a membership for the month". I told him if my membership is not cancelled, and my money not refunded, I will be contacting my bank and filing a complaint with the FTC. He then told me that I am eligible for a refund and will be refunded this statement or the next, depending on my bank. Just hold your ground and tell these turd sniffers what's up, then you will get your money back.
- Deb replies to jessybessybear| 3 repliesThank you all for your input...
Our son just noticed 19 charges @ $11.99 on his bill! It's from a music store that's in malls called FYE.
Want to get out of it?
Call their #800-964-8115 and ask to cancel it - get a cancellation #. No reason to ask them for a refund as they'll just tell you to write a letter and fax it.
Next, call back the same # and ask to speak to someone in the US (they're in Ohio). They'll trasnfer you to their headquarters. At that time, tell them you want a total refund and that you've talked to the Attorney General and the BBB. My first offer was 12 mos. free and I said I'd have to get back wtih the guy I spoke with at attorney general as he said it should be 100%. I also told them my son's a minor and had no idea. They transferred me to a supervisor in the "Office of the President" who said because he's a minor they'll refund 100%; her name was Megan Aron – Ohio and this is her #:
800-298-4930 - KAREN replies to Deb| 1 replyI called 800-298-4930 as suggested. I did not have my member #, but gave my name, state, zip and she found me, cancelled me, no questions asked, gave me confirmation number, AND no expecting it, she said my $11.99 from January will be refunded to my card in 7-10 days!!!
AWESOME INFO!! THANKS A MILLION, (or at least thanks $11.99!!)
Karen - PriskaThank you, I will say that it took 5 charges before I caught up with FYE. The only reason I realized it was being taken out my bank account is because I moved to a different state. Them small amounts equal's over $50 taken from me. I am a single mother and can't afford to lose anything. Thank goodness my bank (HSBC) acknowledges that FYE FYE*BSP VIP is not a place I shop at and intend to reimburse me. They'll also be putting a block so it can't happen again.
- NunyaI'm neither an FYE employee, nor former employee, and I can honestly say when I signed up for the backstage pass, they told me up front exactly what I was getting into. 30 day free trial, that would charge me $11.99 a month if I didn't cancel before the 30 days was up.
You had to fill out and sign a form before they gave you the card with a ton of coupons and right IN the paper they gave you, RIGHT ABOVE the card it said the same thing, $11.99/month & gave you the number to call to cancel. The sales clerk even wrote down the day my 30 day trial was up.
I did, of course, forget until I got that first $11.99 charge, But I went to this site: https://www.fyevip.com/store/ & registered & right at the top it says MY ACCOUNT. Go there, and along the Left hand column towards the bottom, there's an End Membership link. I clicked that, confirmed that I wanted to cancel, and that was the end of it. I didn't have to call & argue with anyone, and it took no longer than a minute or two from the moment I typed in the website.
Granted, I won't know till next month whether or not it worked but I screenshot the page, and printed it out to be safe. It all appeared pretty straightforward. I had no problems whatsoever. - GENE replies to GinaYOU ARE WRONG. I AM DISABLED AND DON'T GET OUT OF MY HOME OFTEN. I NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM FYE AND I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING. AS A RULE, I NEVER SIGN UP FOR ANY TRIAL PLANS THAT AUTOMATICALLY ROLE OVER TO PURCHASE, AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD. I DON'T KNOW HOW FYE GOT MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER, BUT THIS IS FRAUD, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. YOU MAY KNOW HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO WORK, BUT COMPLAINTS FROM HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE INDICATE THAT YOU ARE WRONG. I AM ON A FIXED INCOME AND MOST OF MY MONEY IS SPENT ON NECESSITIES, SUCH AS RENT, MEDICAL BILLS, MEDICINE AND FOOD. I HAVE TO MONITOR MY CHECKING ACCOUNT FREQUENTLY SO I COUGHT THIS CHARGE. I'M SURE THAT MANY PEOPLE DONT EVEN KNOW THAT THEY HAVE FALLEN VICTIM TO FYE'S FRAUDULENT PRACTICES.
- fl resi didn't receive a call from this number; however, i remember agreeing to sign up for the discount membership when i made a purchase at a local FYE in december of 2010 (during the holidays). i just realized, a year and a half later, that i'm paying $11.99/monthly for a membership whose services i don't use at all.
upon calling them for the sole purpose of cancelling my membership, the operator insisted in keeping my account active for some "benefits that i haven't taken advantage of yet." i had to tell him TWO TIMES that i wanted to cancel my membership TODAY! he phrased the question in a way that somewhat confused me into (almost) unwillingly agreeing to keep the account open. when you do call FYE to cancel, make sure you pay close attention to every detail the operator is saying to you don't get easily tricked. i was given a confirmation number in regards to the cancellation.
good luck!
