We are not getting phone calls, but my son is getting $9.99 taken from his bank account. It has to do with the company FYE and the VIP membership. FYE is also working with at least two other companies,Shoppers Discount & Rewards and Complete Savings. They charge $12.00 a month and when you stop one membership, they have you as member in the other with out you knowing about it.I told my son he was getting out of FYE.

I have just noticed (3) $9.99 transactions on my  Credit Card from this number. But the bad part is, it put my credit account over the limit which in turn costs me $78 in overlimit fees!

I'm not getting calls, but I am finding frequent $9.99 charges on my credit card from FYE VIP 877-351-2131. I don't shop at FYE, I'm not a VIP member, and I really want to know who I should be yelling at.

My acct has been chargeds multiple times also for $9.99 - I remember now joining up for this service when I purchased a CD in a music store so that I can receive a discount.  I forgot to cancel the membership so 5 months later I finally cancelled it but now another company is debiting my acct for $12.00 - company is apparently attached to FYE so when you cancel 1 membership, another company starts debiting - that's insane!  The best thing to do is to cancel your credit card and request a new one with a different number so that the debits don't continue.

Don't feel bad...I just noticed yesterday that they've been taking money out of my account for a YEAR...HOW I didn't noticed is beyond me. I called and talked to an FYE representative tonight, and they won't give you your money back. I tried to cancel my account, but the man was very difficult and told me he would give me the next month free and that he would send me a $20 gift card to their store. I am going to try again tomorrow.

Here is what confuses me...a year ago I shopped in FYE for Christmas gifts, but the salesman never mentioned a fee...just a 30% discount on my total that day. I checked my bank statements, but it showed up in all numbers--I just figured it was a $10 charge for gas or something for my car. Now, online, it says that a VIP backstage membership is only $25 a year, but I have been charged $10 a month for the last year. I don't understand that. Over the last year, they've taken $120 out of my account. The website also says that your membership is good for a year-it automatically expires a year to the day you signed up for it. I signed up the day after Thanksgiving of '08...the man on the phone tonight said they have charged me through Feb of '10. Obviously, that's totally bogus. Very frustrating. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow.

I didn't receive a call from this number, I found it on my bank statement along with a charge for $11.99 and the description FYE VIP. After my research of the number led me here I called it and spoke to a guy named Felix who, doing his job, tried to offer me something but I cut him off mid-sentence and just kept saying how I wanted to cancell the service. I also stated that I didn't recall the FYE sales-kid mentioning ANYTHING about a monthly membership charge, I only recall him talking about a discount on purchases including the one I was making at the time.
btw, Felix did say that I would be getting a refund in 7-10 days. Since he said this only 10 minutes ago I'll have to see if FYE is good on his word.

My daughter was contacted by her CU about a suspicious charge to her debit card. Turns out it was FYE that she doesn't shop at. Looking at her account, there was also a debit to her account from the FYE VIP that others have mentioned, also for 9.99 last month. The Credit Union has blocked her card and will issue a new one. It appears that there is a scam associated with FYE and they are smart enough to be taking only small amounts that might be unnoticed by individuals or considered inconsequential. !00 of these 9.99 charges, though, amounts to just short of $1000.

i too have had the same problem with this membership. we never signed up for it. made a purchase two years ago and they started charging our account last year for 9.99 a month. i called the fye company today and the guy would not let me cancel the account. he offered me a 30 day free membership and a $20 gift card. i simply told him i wanted to cancel my account. he then told me he was NOT going to cancel my account and he was going to keep it active. i hung up the phone. i called my husband and he is in the process of reporting them to the better business bureau. we are also putting a stop payment on this charge as well. i advise whoever else is having this issue to contact the bbb (better business bureau), ASAP.

I'm so glad I read these comments before making the call.

Double checking my credit card balances, I found a charge for a store membership/rewards program that I vaguely remember signing up for in order to get a discount, but was never told it would cost $9.99 a month for.  Googling the number from the payment reports, I found this website and was prepared when I made the call to cancel the FYE VIP Backstage Pass.

The woman's English was difficult for me to understand at times, so I listened for the words "your account will remain active" or "leave your account active" after her very long list of benefits I'd be losing by canceling this membership. Keep an ear out for these words and then calmly repeat that you'd like to discontinue your account.  I had to say so three times, once after each spiel.

After the third time, she informed me she was canceling the service and gave me a confirmation number.  Stay calm and friendly; They basically are reading from a script and won't derail no matter what you say.   My cell phone clocked the entire call for 6 minutes, so it won't take too long.  Just let them say what they're told to and you'll be done with it.

I have been a VIP member for 6 months and if you use it, you can save a lot of dough. I was moving and didn't see the need to keep it in my new area so I called to cancel. I even complained about the current month's charge - since I didn't think I would use it more than a week into this month and so they refunded my money. Call only took about 4 minutes.

FYI  - If you call a company and someone overseas answers the call you can immediately request to speak to someone in the United States.  Someone had told me about this before but I never had to do it until tonight.  I called the 800# on my bank statement and got someone from the Phillipines.  He tried to tell me that he can't cancel my account or refund the charges unless I verify my address and information.  I told him I absolutely would not give him my personal information when I never purchased a 'discount' program or agreed to pay $9.99 a month to receive a retail discount.  He said, "Well then I can't cancel it or refund your money."  I asked him where he was located and he told me the Phillipines.  I told him I want to talk a manager in the United States immediately.  He put me on hold then transferred me to someone in Ohio (got her name and phone number).  As soon as she answered I told her that I found this charge on my bank statement and had never authorized anything or  heard of FYE.  She told me that it is a music store in our local mall and it showed that I had made a purchase last August.   I didn't even remember that the name of the music store our local mall was FYE because I had only ever been there once in my life - last August.  I told her to close the account immediately and reverse the charges on my credit card immediately or I would call the Attorney General immediately after hanging up with her.  She didn't argue with me at all (other than to say I HAD to have agreed to receive the VIP card) and cancelled the account.  She processed the necessary paperwork to have my money refunded (via my credit/debit card) within the next 48  hours.  When she was telling me this she said she'll go ahead and have the 10(!!!!!!!!) charges reversed.  I was shocked and asked her, "Do you mean to tell me that you've been charging me for this for the last 10 months?"  She confirmed that was the case.  I felt really stupid because I had missed the 10 months of charges when reviewing my bank statements.  Bottom line is that I went into the entire situation knowing that I was right and demanding that it be fixed immediately.  Doesn't always work, but it is certainly worth a try when dealing with situations like this.  From here on, I will be keeping a VERY close eye on my account and statements.

apparently we were 'signed up' for the program when we made a purchase at fye.  my wife does not remember any of this occurring - especially since we don't sign up for these cockamamy programs.  (costs more than the 'discounts' we would get or could find on our own.   i was able to cancel (i hope) and will reportedly get a refund for the last 4 months (my wife scans our cc bill every month but this one slipped through the cracks cuz we run to fye for stuff for the kids occasionaly - NOT ANY MORE!!)
