This guy came and took a picture of my house then left the notice with just a number and NStar and nothing else. Plus they keep calling me but not leaving a voicemail. It's a scam

It doesn't make sense that it would be from one's mortgage company. They would call you on your contact numbers first.

This is a scam, I find it interesting so many Northstar employees are defending it. I am a tenant and see these all over many properties in my condo-subdivision there are mass marketing with these poor-[***] delivery chumps getting pennies pre stop. They are the true victims. I have a garbage can for this crap.

I got this also on my door this evening only thing is I had just called them this am!!!! They had nothing to say then why are they still hanging this on my door!!!!!#

I have received sevral of these as well. Another one today. I have filed a complaint with FTC as well as CFPB. They have also taken pictures of my home as well as leave collection notices. The problem is, I DO NOT HAVE A MORTGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY and I have called on several occasions to verify that my information is not in their databse and they have confirmed this everytime I have called. I have even asked the representative if they can lead me to who is the local company dropping off the collection notices and they have all told me they do not know!!!

This is from nationstar mortgage ccompany, not northstar,not nstar electric...nationstar mortgage. I got this because i am behind in payments...i called the number,it goes directly to  the automated phone system I always call. Its not a scam...just another way to get your attention and have you call. The guy dropping it off is just a courier,and if they take a pic of your house,its to proce to Nationstar that they did,in fact, deliver it to the xorrect property. If you dont have nationstar,id suggest you call your company and ask them whats up.

I got called from this number 877-372-0316, asking for how much can you affordable pay each month and please give your routing number we can set it up.  I wasn't confortable with giving informations thru the phone, Told them to send e-mail.  I really don't know who there are......

I don't have any loans, nor do I pay a mortgage. Doesn't make sense.

If this is truly Nationstar Mortgage, why is this number listed as a telemarketing number?

Yesterday I received a Manila envelope marked "important information enclosed" in English and Spanish. Inside it asks you to call "morgage company" (misspelled) @ 877-372-0315. We called it and it's Nationstar mortgage. We call and we're on an eternal hold so we hang up. We are in the process of modifying our mortgage but not with nationstar . I was home the whole day - the "subcontractor" never knocked on the door. He/she must have army crawled to my front door bc if my dogs heard him/her the whole neighborhood would know we had company, and this individual would have left skid marks in my front lawn running away as fast as they could (3 English bulldogs unusually large for their breed) If a legit company wants to get a hold of you they call the contacts on file. They send letters via USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc. Businesses that use methods like nationstar are referred to as "scumbag companies".  I've forwarded the issue to our attorney. Even if you do business with this company, their methods of contact are unethical - don't let them them get away with violating your privacy by showing up at your house and harassing you. Even if they're cordial and give you an explanation it's still harassment. If there's a next time and I see him/her on our property I'm letting the dogs tell them they're not welcome.

This may not be a scam. I received a notice today asking to call 877-372-0315. I'm behind on my mortgage and I've had several different people deliver notes on my door asking to call my mortgage servicer, which I did (because I want to know when the sheriff is going to be there to lock up my house).  I've also  had people take pictures of my house. Usually the same ones that leave the information. I received a letter last week stating that my mortgage servicer changed hands. This may be the new servicer.

I got the same manilla envelope, except mine says "North Star", not "NStar" or "Nation Star".  I have no idea who North Star is, I have no mortgage with them, have never heard of them until today.  It HAS to be a scam of some sort.  The paper actually does not say mortgage on it anywhere, however, so I guess it is theoretically possible for it to be something else, but it has the same toll-free number printed on it.  

I guess by pennies you mean 600 pennies... per stop.  And I deliver between 60 and 100 per day.  Do the math.  Don't feel bad for this chump.  My mortgage is paid.

Got this on my door today.  I rent so given the messages above, it would come to reason my landlord is not using my rent to pay the existing mortgage.

.....works for them! Totally agree with your post!  Will greet them next time they show up in my driveway.....since I have no trespassing signs posted everwhere. In my case they show up in a black car with heavily tinted windows.

I did also today...but the only thing on mine was this phone number. If they want out house they can HAVE it. It's literally splitting in half(modular). Seller ripped us off royally and we are more than happy to pass this dump on to Nation Star! One of the bathrooms is falling in(seller tried to patch holes in tub unstead of replacing it, A.C died, new roof leaks & bows, knife stabs in front door, fist holes in the walls, carpet has huge burns in it(we were told after the fact that the sheriff removed a meth lab out from previous tenant) & this house is literally making my husband sick! We have fixed & fixed & fixed and can NOT nor will NOT do it anymore! Next time you drop off a yellow love note NationStar....have the ba!!s to talk to me!

LOLOLOL I am 5 moths behind & am BEGGING you to take this place! Cant garnish Social Security & CANT throw out the disabled in mid winter! And you will be getting a falling down/apart MOBILE HOME.
