Megan, I havn't received a call from this number but did get a letter in the mail today showing this phone number.  It came in a plain envelope with no name nor address on the outside.  

The company shown on the return envelope inside is "Home Service Processing Center" with a P.O. Box 522921 address in Miami, FL 33152.  Other names on the letter are "Home Service USA Repair Management Corp." and "AMT Warranty Corp".  The letter was signed "Michael Backus, Vice PResident, Customer Service".  They want to sell me insurance on the fresh water service pipe-line coming into my house.  All I have to do is give them my checking account number and they will "automatically take money out of my bank for the insurance payments".  I THINK NOT!  I'm in northern Illinois.  How do I know who they are and where they really are when they use a Miami P.O.Box for an address?

I got a letter just like, never answers ,the BBB is handling it now.

My mother recieved the same letter, along with her senior neighbor's in Olathe Kansas.  Notifing the state fraud division.  They have payment going to Florida PO Box, with a Topeka Kansas PO Box on the bottom of the letter.

My elderly mom in law received the same letter but it was from Oklahoma City.

My letter came from a supposedly Detroit MI location. It is certainly a fraud and I reported it to the Postal Service as such.

Same thing went to my grandmother.Glad I checked here first. Thank you!!!

I received a letter from this company and tried to check them out on BBB and found they are not listed with the BBB. On the bottom of the letter it the last paragraph reads, "Home Service USA Repair Management Corp. ("HomeServe") provides this optional service under a delegated authority from AMT Warranty Corp., who is your contract issuer. HomeServe is an independent company separate from your local utility or community."  BEWARE!!

I received the same letter same wording from P.O. Box 2035 Phoenix Az 85001-9942 but same blank return envelope.  It shows it was mailed from Zip code 53075 which is Random Lake Wisconsin.  This has to be a scam, if not really coming from this P.O. box in Phoenix.  I searched it on internet and nothing comes up.  I am going to contact my City water dept. and my newspaper so elderly citizens do not get scammed by this payment.

Received similar letter for my residence in NJ.  Tired to check out AMT Warranty Corp but it's impossible to track down this company......Beware!!!

I got a letter about my water line being covered , so I called MDC in Ct and they said they never hear of the company that I should toss the letter in the trash. After calling the MDc I called Homeserve and ask
How they knew that My water line outside my house was not covered buy my insurance, they said that most people dont have that kind of covered. Then I started to ask question about the company years in bussiness and why I lived in my house for 16 years and they never sent me a letter before and they just gave me a bunch of BS. So to end this store if you have any questions about homeserve you should call your local water company or BBB. I think its a BIG SCAM

No phone call but two letters by mail.   I googed and bought inside and outside insurance last year, but I will not buy it this year.    I checked the internet this time.  I am a senior citizen.   Shame on the people that target seniors.

My parents received letter today from these people.  I handle all of their business affairs they are in their 70's.  It seems that these people Home Service are targeting senior citizens.  This is one of the reason I handle my parents affairs.   Now going to report this to the Post Office,  Office of the Attorney General and the FTC and anyone else I can think of.

I didn't get a call, but I received an 'unidentified' letter telling me to call this number. Is it legitimate?

*SCAM* My letter was from homeserve of missouri, Told them i would love their service. sent them 185k in cash from the game "life" and asked if that would cover it. I hate scumbags like this. Also left my phone # for them to call me so i can cuss them the eff out.

The same letter from the same company, same phone number came to my aunt.  Unfortunately, she is elderly, afraid of the cost of repairs should anything go wrong, she sent them a check in January and was sent a reply that someone would come and service her boiler. She has been calling, no answer, noone came, this is August. They sent her another notice to pay 300.00. Needless to say after some checking, there is no record of this company. Glad I stepped in before she sent the additional money.  IT IS A SCAM!!.  877-444-7750 has no reply message.  I'm sendng a report to the better business bureau.

Just got the letter from a P.O. box in Lancaster pa. Everywhere on the net, I check says they are ripoffs! Stay clear

My mother just got a letter from Home Service from a PO box in Austin, TX.  Couldn't find the company on the internet but found this page.  Thank you everyone for your input.  I will tell my mother it is a scam and report it to the BBB.

Just got a letter from Homeserve at a PO Box in Clinton, CT...I called and asked where they got their information to send out these letters to which I was told, court house records, magazine subscriptions, white pages etc.  I then told them they need to do a better job on their homework because our home has had well water since 1958!!  What a scam!!
