You had posted a message in July 2011 that you intended to lodge complaints with the Post Office and with the Attorney General about this scam being conducted by AQUA / HomeServe. I am curious to know whether anything resulted from that complaint. That scam is still being perpetrated, and I received their solicitation letter in the mail today.

I received this same letter today.  It will go in the trash bin for sure.  We had a water line break not that long ago.  The local water company paid for it, I paid nothing.  So, don't let these scammers get to you.  Thanks to all the people who posted on here to help others realize that this is yet another scam.

I just received a call from this number and rather than hang up, I decided to sing some off the wall version of Yankee Doodle. I was shocked to realize she was there the entire time, cause I cause still hear the background noise of the other operators.  I am too old for such antics, but if I am in a great mood, I have to play with their minds to waste their time.

I wish I had some of that lying around. It sure would have come in handy on a old number where I was receiving collection agency calls for what I guess is the person who used to have the number. At least then I could ask for the address and send the money.

Received a letter today - when I googled the # - Rip Off Report came up - another poster said they were legit and gave a link to the BBB that has a red flag on their account!!
Yet another poster gave the exclusions to this joke insurance...... it covers NOTHING, no leaks, bursting pipes, etc etc.
It's just another scam - wish there was a way to stop all of them because they are filling my trash can!!!!

I live in Florida and received the lette from Homeserver Corp. They reference that this is byTechnology Insurance Company and AMT Warranty Corp. There was an additional page in very fine prind advising what is not covered. Base upon this and some research,  they would never have to repair and I would strongly reccomend that no one buys this service.

I received the letter from a PO box in Austin from the "Processing Center".  They need a call by August 6 to start coverage!  I had to laugh and it's not even worth the time calling the to see how the scam works. I wish a federal agent could get on it!
So glad there are sites like this one!

Received a call from this number, it's from Home Serve.  They use other numbers, some of which actually show their ID, whereas this number comes up "Unknown".  Actually, HomeServe is a valid company, offering insurance coverage for water and sewer line maintenance.  They sell their coverage all over the states.  I have made use of their service two times, due to water line breaks between the meter (out near the street) and my residence.  You are, in many cases, able to specify what local service you want to do the actual repairs, the bills from that service then directed to HomeServe.  Their telemarketing, however, can be excessive.  Having established an insurance policy for my main water supply line, I get continual invitations, both mail and phone, for their insurance on other service lines to the house.

So this is Aqua huh? I have them,..not that I have a choice here in the Philly suburbs.

These scumbags not only mail me about their "HomeServe" insurance, but it appears from the above comments they have been calling every morning at exactly 9:-00-9:05am for the past 5 days. Today I have off, looked forward to finally sleeping in...and these [***] wake me up. I will be calling them back and blasting them to remove me from the call list.

This company is also a total mess when it comes to tearing the neighborhood streets, and their lousy so called patchwork when they are finished with the sewers. A few streets have been torn up and redone in recent weeks by PennDot.

First, I see a lot of comment stating a Stamford, CT address. My envelope from Bloomburg, PA

Second, if you want a bonifide home owners warranty and just not sure how to locate one contact your real estate agent.
They deal with home owner warranties on a regular basis and can recommend one for you.

These guys are good on the surface but I would never do business with them or anyone else without a full back ground check.
    or a professional recommendation.

a fellow phoned me about signing up for their sewer insurance, i needed to act immediately.  i asked for them to send me details of the insurance and what would be covered aka a copy of the policy.  he refused to send it unless i signed and paid immediately.  he actually argued with me, i was not entitled to see anything until after i had given him my financial details, paid and signed up. they only send info after you pay (really ?)  i said i don't pay for anything until i have received and reviewed the insurance details.  he became very stern and argued with me.  i replied that his refusal to send me the details without paying first made this sound like a scam -  he then proceeding to mimic and mock me.  repeating everything i said in snotty girlish falsetto voice.  he then laughed at me and his imitation of me.  really, does this sound like a legitimate company?  this is the same phone number he gave, and when i called back (to complain of course)  all i got was stuck in a prerecorded hold.  BEWARE, BE VERY VERY AWARE OF ANY ONE WHO CALLS YOU AND THEN MIMICS AND MAKES FUN OF YOU TO YOUR FACE!  And just in cause you are a legitmate insurance company - WAY TO GO - INSULTING FOLKS - JUST WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO GROW A BUSINESS!!!!  Wonder how they treat folks who paid and then need to file a calm...  hummmm
