I got a text message from the same #. It says Get $500 in Free Grocery reimbursement. Get Paid to Shop. Call 877-450-6614. I don't know how they got my #.

Received spam text message.  Just called our cell phone provider and the entity sending these texts is www.virtualsmscity.com

Reply "stop" should hopefully stop the texts from this company hopefully.  I was told to be careful in the future when doing those text voting things like American Idol.  Apparently your cell number can get sold out for marketing.  Pretty f#@ked-up.

Received several messages last night from Virtual SMScity.com.on my cell phone.  Not sure why I received this info I have not signed up for anything.  It is really beginning to piss me off. I am getting more and more unsolicited calls on my cell

This number keeps calling me, i told them to stop but they dont.

Scam operation promising you a job as long as you give them your credit card information.
Better Business Bureau rates them as F.
Company is located in Florida but the owner lives in South Burlington, VT.

i got a message from 27663 which reads:

received txt to earn $100 a day undercover shoppers. from what im reading seems to be scam

i called this phone line 5 times, and the same 2 women answered, there names were Melissa and Krista, this is a scam. it was for undercover shoppers and making $100 dollars a day.

Got an SMS -- same as above.

I called them back at 877-450-6614, waited on hold about 3-4 minutes, and got a nice lady to say she took my mobile number off of their SMS list. Lets see how long that lasts....

Do not call or text back! It only confirms that you are a real live person and your number is now confirmed as good to text and call with spam.

I've been getting the texts all day today, each time I reply STOP, each time they come from a different number, some are credit cards, some are secret shoppers, some are $100 gift cards for Target or Walmart, but each time, I'm told to call 877-450-6614. I don't mind replying, "STOP," I have an unlimited texting plan and they already have my cell#, so they're not getting any additional info from me, but I feel horribly for the people that have to pay per text.

DON'T CALL THAT NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!! Someone (I think Ingrid, on Aug. 30) asked if this was a scam? They're always a scam. Don't ever give them any info, PLEASE.

I tried to go to VirtualSMSCity, but I never subscribed to any service so I don't have anything to cancel. Hopefully, they'll stop texting...

I received FOUR text messages today on my personal cell. I did use my cell phone to text on SYTYCD. This summer, I also, like a dummy, used my cell for an Ellen DeGeneris promo (cell was required). These text messages started almost immediately after I signed up for the Ellen D. promo.  What did they say in that movie about the young guy dying from leukemia fighting the insurance co?  "You must be stupid, stupid, stupid!"

Meant to state what the messages said:

ANYWAY, has anyone on the Federal "Do not call" list adressed this via that law?  How is it done?  Any luck?

I did not realize there was a charge and cancelled immediately and was told that they had cancelled, howver there is a $19.99 charge on my phone.
