asking me to call about my debit account...not sure who this is.

If you do call,  I would use the known number of your bank or card holder and not the number they gave you.

Just called me also.  Computer voice message.  Sounds like a scam.  They were concerned about a debit card from an account I do not have like nmg?

My husband received a voice mail saying our debit card has had a hold placed on it due to some suspicious activity. Checked my account online and no such thing. I wonder how they have our bank information AND his cell number.

Just had a call on my tracfone, the number of which I very seldom give out.  I didn't answer and it went to Voice Mail.  Had a robo-message that my debit card may have had a hold put on it.  NOT calling back nor checking out the phony sounding web page.

Just got a call from this number saying my M&T Bank Debit Card has a temporary hold for suspicious activity. I don't even have an M&T Bank account/debit card.  Ran my free credit report just to make sure there were not open accounts in my name/SSN that I was unaware of - all seemed well. Believe this was a fraudulent call.

Call from this number, didn't answer, no message.  From these posts looks like they are hitting hard today.

They left a message about 10 minutes ago.  Same thing, M&T Bank, card on hold, I can check myself on the website.  I don't have an account with M&T.  I tried calling back to have some fun seeing how long I could grill them, but the number was out of service.

I just received that message too - regarding a hold on credit or debit card at M&T bank.   Computerized message said if I am not the account holder, have the account holder call them back right away.

Called saying I have fraud on my debit account with M&T bank.  I don't have any such account.  Scam phone call.

I got a call saying it was from M&T Bank, but of course it was not. The number is 877-4645-6686

Holy crap I'm not the only one, does anyone crack down on this sorta stuff?

Same thing with me. they just called and said I had a fraudulent activity on my M&T account. They wanted my card number which is hard to give them since I do not have an account with this bank. They were going to put a temporary hold for suspicious activity on the account I do not have. I stayed on the line to talk with someone to see what was up but all they wanted was my debit card number.

Spam about your debit/credit card. They left a message saying a temporary hold has been put on it and they want to "verify" my account

They don't have this information.  I just received a call from this number with a computerized message saying it was M&T bank calling to say they put a hold on my credit account because of some fraudulent activity.  Since I don't even have an M&T account of any kind, it's clearly not related to your bank information any more than it is mine.  I didn't hit any buttons during the message because I thought it was a scam.

Rec'd a call re my debit card w M&T Bank. Since I never had a debit card w that bank, I hung up.

The same for myself.  Hold on account due to potential fraud activity.
