Just got the message on my cell - My debit card at M&T will have a hold until I get a message in my email or call back this number.  I don't think so.

Received this call on cell phone stating suspicious activity on my account and there has been a hold placed on account.  Called my local bank customer service line and there is no such activity on my account.  Scam.

NEVER call any other phone # but the  one listed on your debit/credit card to respond to a "possible fraud activity on your account". The message from this # is a scam. Once you've provided all your identifying info to verify your account.. You've been duped!!

Sure they are a scam.  I do not have a Debit acct. nor use MTB.  My advice….do not call them back.

This phone number had a recording  saying by debit account with M and T Bank was being placed on a hold for fraudulence until information was verified. This was not actually M and T Bank. It asks for your account/card number and your pass code multiple times.

Got a call while I was shopping, but did not pick up message until I got home. Thought it was fraudulent, but knew for sure when I tried# from my home phone and got message it was not in service, but when I tried from my cell it went through!

Got call let it go to voicemail. Mentioned M &T bank, we don't have account. Sounds like scam. Said to call 716 number

Received a call from this number about half an hour ago.   As others have stated, it's a total scam - I don't have any accounts at M&T Bank.

Same as the other responses. I don't have an M and T account.

Add another call to the list. It's not the bank!!

Today, 04/12/15, at 3:40 I received call from the above number but did not answer the call.

Both my husband and myself got this call today saying they were putting a hold on my debit accountant for possible fraudulent activity. Must be a scam. Hate this stuff.

I received the same call that everyone else has regarding the M& T bank which I do not have any accounts with.  The call was to my cell phone and have no idea how they got that number.  When I tried to call the number back, there was nothing.  Plus, it is Sunday...

Same here - got a voicemail today regarding my debit card - sounds like M&T bank. I do not have an account with them - total scam

Received two calls today from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  Adding them to my block list.

total scam  -  I don't have a M&T account nor does anyone in family.  Didn't answer and when called back asked for a card number.

Same thing. I don't have an M&T account.

I got a message from MT bank 877-464-6686 saying my account may be compromised and to enter my credit card number.
   I know it has to be a fraud. I tried to get operator when I called and it would not go through. It's a fraud.

Got call the other day.. Glad I checked here first!  Not M&T.
